Sadly I don't think it's a case of Walmart allowing it specifically. Third party sellers on walmart can charge whatever they want for whatever they want, walmart allows it across the board. It's not limited to walmart exclusive items. Also, in the past, if items that are store exclusives don't sell, they are often picked up by other retailers. Add on top of that that these third party retailers effectively act as a secondary market, then the legalities of telling third party sellers on walmart's website what they can and can't sell gets pretty impossible to manage into "third party sellers on walmart dot com can't sell walmart goods." There's nothing walmart can do about this one, I fear. There's too much legalese that Walmart would have to negotiate that would be massively unprofitable for the company on a broader scale, plus it would get very messy because, again, the third party sellers selling this stuff are technically part of the secondary market. Walmart is allowing it because they don't have a choice. You think Walmart can't police what's sold on their own website? Oh I surely think they can.... Can people sell weapons on Walmart's website? Used clothing? It's not the wild west, and it's not Ebay..... Surely Walmart owns their own website and can police what is sold there. And what the hell kind of way is that to run a website? I don't go there to buy crap from random people - I go there to buy WALMART products. If I wanted random trash from people I'd go to Ebay. But the simpler solution is...... just make your "exclusive" product AVAILABLE? Somewhere? I don't know, IN STORES, or ONLINE? That would make this all go away. Haha love the way you word things. Sadly walmart is trying to be like amazon. I used to scream out about this like you but now i just use my wallet to make my point. Shopping online with walmart is just a waste of time now. Id rather shop from a website that actually sends product instead of a cancellation order. Target is in that game now as well listing exclusive products from 3rd party retailers that are not their own. Saw a bray wyatt "walmart exxclusive" superstars figure listed on their site a few days ago. Both sites may as well be sold as ebay mirror sites as many of their vendors are simply resellers with the same buy-it-now (bin) listings as on ebay. Many are now seeking other sites to sell off to escape the exhaustive ebay fees/taxes. I miss the days when entertainmentearth was the go to place and billed as the most reliable in previews magazine. Bigbadtoystore was good too. Now we are stuck with the biggest retailers who want to be the go to place for everything from diapers to wrestling figures. The good ol days are gone. The best thing that could happen is for exclusives to dissapear from brick and mortar stores. Online everyone has a chance but at the retail level some people miss out simply because they dont have certain stores in driving distance. I can foresee bezos buying walmart one day. Not sure if that gets us the figures we want but im positive that walmart will end up as k-mart one day so they may as well cash in while they can.

In all honesty, Walmart dot com has one really REALLY useful purpose. If you are disabled like I am, you can pay the Walmart+ fee and get them to do all your in store shopping for you and drop it off right at your door. I will happily pay the 15 bucks a month or so if it means I don't have to try and get myself to, from, and around the store right now when I can barely make it from my kitchen to the bedroom without a mobility aide. But outside of that, yeah. Those walmart exclusives are third party and secondary exclusives.

But the simpler solution is...... just make your "exclusive" product AVAILABLE? Somewhere? I don't know, IN STORES, or ONLINE? That would make this all go away. Sadly, third party sales on major websites seem here to stay. Walmart does it, so does Amazon, I believe Target does it as well. That's not going anywhere. However, with things like weapons and used clothing, it's a matter of NO weapons and NO used clothing can be sold on the website. Very easy to police. Saying "These figures here that are store exclusives for us and are designed for us to sell directly to the customer" and just those figures can't be sold on third party... that's a bit trickier, especially because, right now, you go on there and it's very easy to buy TARGET exclusives from third party sellers. Really, it's not that they can't police the site. They could easily make a rule in the TOS that you can't sell walmart branded products via third party. But good luck enforcing that for something that isn't specifically walmart branded, but is a walmart exclusive line from a different manufacturer. Frankly, it's more time, money, and effort both legally and otherwise than Walmart is going to invest in what amounts to a fancy version of ebay that just happens to only sell buy it now NIB items (that may or may not have been returned or tampered with). But yes, the solution is make the exclusives actually available. If you could go to the store and buy the figures, or if walmart preorders were worth half a spit, then nobody would care about overpriced third party sales. ETA: Btw: The legalities of blocking walmart exclusives from being sold by third party sellers on walmart would pose a very interesting legal conundrum to OTHER websites which also sell walmert exclusives via third party, frequently using the same 'storefronts' as the ones on Walmart. It's FINE that Amazon does it - that's kind of what Amazon does; But when I'm looking for a Walmart or Target product - I go to their respective websites; But instead of finding those Walmart or Target products, I'm finding all sorts of random overpriced secondary market stuff.... All the while Walmart isn't even selling their own exclusive products on their own website. Yet they allow secondary sellers to sell them at more than double the price. It's messed up and my frustration has reached the boiling point. I will not pay excessive (above retail) prices for these items. I just won't buy them. It Walmart isn't willing to stock these "exclusives" (both in stores and on the website) then they should not be getting them. They shouldn't even be ASKING for them to be honest. They clearly have no interest in making them available. They don't even do a good job of stocking the regular products. They're about a year behind on Basics and Mainline Elites are nowhere to be found. At least in my area.

Mattel's not soliciting preorders. Sure, retailers are. But Mattel must be telling them it's okay to put up pre-orders before renders, because we don't see that happen with G I Joe, Transformers, MOTU Origins, or Marvel Legends. I don't even see that with Jada, Boss Fight, Four Horsemen, or Super7. I highly doubt that Mattel has any say or input on when RSC puts up preorders for anything outside of maybe announcing exclusives (and TBH, I have my doubts there too). To use UE21 as an example, I would wager money that RSC's preorder time had everything to do with trying to space tings out because they'll be dropping a ton of preorders Mania weekend, and if they waited until then to put them up, their sales would eat into further down the road preorders they put up that weekend. As for other lines I admit my ignorance here, but are there specialty sites that offer those products months before they're actually scheduled for retail?

I'm hoping to see "some serious $*!t" - Doc Brown. Hopefully...
Steiner Brothers - with varsity jackets
Big Poppa Pump - WCW short and better chainmail head dress
Killer Bees - I second the notion! Two heads; one of them being masks. I'll even take them if they come in sneakers and high socks.
Too Cool - Wrestlemania 2000. Grand Master won't have "sexy" on his pants. Mattel will approve 😎
Triple H - Wrestlemania 14, I loved this DX attire of his when he still rocked long tights.

This would be a logical statement for RSC on the topic of UE21 preorders, if it wasn't that other sites also have them up for preorder, and the Sami and Kevin figures have no photo at ALL attached to them. This isn't just a Ringside thing. Preorders for UE21 went up, from what I saw, in multiple place within a day of each other. It's not RSC. It's Mattel.

The same thing kind of applies to any of the early preorder sites though. They could wait for Mattel to reveal the figures at or close to Mania, but they're not because the figures are expected in so soon that they don't want they an throw them up now, make the money (or lock in the money) and then have people also drop Mania weekend preorders. As far as Mattel goes, they surely *could* drop the images now, but they clearly want to make the Creations reveals and then the Mania weekend panel a big deal, so it behooves them more to release them then. I'm not saying I particularly like it, but I get it.

Paul + last 4 letters after wal And a slew of people with mattel accounts who usually have stuff 2-3 months in advance on ebay. The list is growing.
