I loved the smell of the plastic when you opened those....am I the only weirdo or is that normal? no...not the only one. Did you know that technically that smell was toxic? Not even NEAR toxic enough to do any damage...but toxic none the less... I was unaware of that.

I actually bought one of the ML X-Men animated figures at Walmart today and I had to smile because they were sitting next to the closed box figures that I'm like "Look at you X-Men in this beautiful blister packaging, i'd love to see someone try to tamper with YOU"

The amount of effort I'd imagine it would require to tamper with one of those effectively and not get noticed immediately seems a bit ridiculous just to try and get a free figure. I mean, they're only 25 bucks off the peg, give or take some tax change, how much is your time worth? But hey, people gonna people, whatever. At least with those figures, if you are trying to buy a Wolvie figure and mysteriously there is a Gambit inside, you can tell. (As opposed to those closed box ones.) Clearly, with this thread, the tiny windows for these new WWE figures are a bad idea right out of the gate because not enough of the figure is visible to prevent tampering. I mean, I get trying to cut back on plastic but A. Figure collecting where there are copious extra parts and accessories that can easily be stolen is not the place to make your corporate stand of reducing plastic and B. Considering these are plastic figures with frequently plastic clothing, bonus plastic parts, and plastic accessories, this is not the place to make your corporate stand of reducing plastic you look silly.

They can buy the figure, do the switcheroo at home, and return it. For some reason, the store allows the return. I don't know if they are not allowed to ask questions, or maybe the customer plays dumb and says they didn't notice and that is why they are returning it. Who knows? All I know is its pretty sad that some people feel the need to do this.

Not even NEAR toxic enough to do any damage...but toxic none the less... I prefer the smell of Mattel figures to Hasbro figures for whatever reason.
