That would be cool, but they won't release on its own, like mentioned earlier it will be packaged with yet another ring. So the argument that they need more rings out there, is downright stupid. Id be SHOCKED if they did release on its own. At the end of the day, we don't know why Mattel does the things they do. Releasing a raw is war ring with no entrance stage, and trying to do a nitro stage with no nitro ring. That will forever be one of the dumbest decisions they've made, not to mention threatening if nitro isn't funded the raw stage would be put on back burner. As if this isn't a WWE first company with WCW assets. IDK. They seemed to have made their road map pretty clear. We knew we were getting a Nitro ring. We knew there was a Monday Night Wars line coming. They made it clear that the Raw entrance would be even more than Nitro so Nitro needed to be done first so assets from that stage can be reused to bring down the cost of Raw. In about 3 years we woulda had the Raw and Nitro stages and rings. I still don't see how nitro had to be made in order for the raw set to be made. 60% of the raw stage could've been made with a $5 flat black sheet from Walmart. It also would have had significantly less LEDs. So I take what they say with a grain of salt honestly. Where was the extra cost in the raw stage? Edit, not to derail this thread I to something else that's already been discussed to death. My apologies to the op. I hope we get a cage and I hope it does not include a ring attached to it. That's all I got to say about that.

The fact that they haven’t made any accessories for the New Gen ring is a big reason why I’m done buying rings. I hoped for the cage, more ring aprons, or anything really. They haven’t done anything. So I’m done buying rings and I’m pretty much done with any crowdfunding moving forward unless it’s just for figs I’d want.

The way Steve has explained it makes sense tho. They need more ultimate scale rings sold to justify making accessories for it. There were, what, 8K New Gen rings sold? Most probably went into storage cuz people mainly wanted the figs. And those who display em, not everyone is gonna want a cage. So that’s the strategy of getting out the Raw and Nitro rings. It makes less sense if you look at my post above this one. I’m gonna believe the business decision of someone who works at Mattel, versus someone on a wrestling figure forum. What Steve said makes plenty of sense from a long-term business stance.

There's a whole world out there that have opinions that defer from 1 to another. Fair is fair.

Which is why it’s smart to get these rings in all sorts of collectors’ hands: WWF, WWE, WCW, etc. That way when those accessories are created, there’s a higher chance of selling more… and making more money. Or making 1 mold and re-using it to make more profit.

Molds from the stage, trusses, and light fixtures woulda been reused eliminating the cost of new tooling for those parts. We balked at paying $400 for the Nitro stage and potentially 6 figures for $400. Had they led with Raw it probably woulda been $500-600 and even less exciting figures bundled with it. But at the end of the day this community made it clear we didn’t want to pay premium prices for large scale premium products.

I don’t care how many rings are or aren’t out there, this will be the third ring and we have no accessories for any of them. They could give us SOMETHING. How about....ANOTHER MUHAMMAD ALI FIGURE?!?

As soon as someone does the “well, they only care about making money” complaint, it’s clear that that person’s expectations of a business are silly.

Despite poor/lazy figure selection, attire decisions and no solution for international buyers (other than paying a lot more), I wouldn't say it was a clear message. Over 4 thousand people backed it at a premium price and I'm sure it would have hit the minimum goal if they didn't have the issues above (in addition to offering more payment options for all of their customers). With that being said, the narrative is it was a failure and we will be punished for a long time before they consider another stage instead of Mattel owning up to their part in the failure (like we were punished for a decade when the original Legends line failed).

I think this would look cool with the Jakks blue cage rig. This reminds me, I need to sell off my New Gen ring. I want to get the Nitro ring, but still on the fence about the spacing atm.

What I did was get extra of the connections that go on top of the cage sides. They work perfectly on the bottoms corners because the other connectors are a tad too tall. You could cut them down but I found extra top connectors and it works perfectly.

The jakks real scale cage it basically fits perfectly on the new gen ring Bingo. The clips for the posts are gonna be stretched out if you decide to use them (since the Jakks posts are slimmer), but otherwise the cage itself fits beautifully on the crowd fund ring.
