Mox/Orange from All In was one of my favorites of last year so I’m excited at the idea of seeing it again. I’d prefer to see Orange take the title over Darby but I get it.

The build to Darby winning the world title is pretty deflated when you know Christian is going to immediately cash in.

So how are we feeling about Kenny’s return being in new Japan and not AEW? On observer Alvarez said he didn’t agree with it, he realized that new Japan is really struggling and this was done to help ticket sales and business leading to wrestle kingdom, but I mean AEW is struggling to sell tickets here and Kenny might help with that.

No issue. If anything I see a net positive. Now that he's shown up in njpw each week is anticipation of when he shows back up in aew.
Also Gabe Kidd is dope that's a sick match and ricochet/zsj gets me excited too. So, from njpws perspective it worked cuz my god is stuff dire there otherwise.

Turn Collision into the Kenny show and keep the Bucks and Jericho off it. That’s where the money is.

I honestly wonder if Kenny and the Bucks haven't had at least a little bit of a falling out. Not like burned bridges just not close anymore. Just a feeling I have, not from any rumors.

I think it's completely idiotic. He comes down with a life threatening illness. They mention it on AEW tv. They bring him in to do an angle where he's jumped by his former friends. They beat the shet out of him and basically tell him to go die. The first thing he does when he is "cleared to return" is go to Japan to wrestle. What in the feck is going on here? The company has been picking up momentum lately by running and following through on story lines. We have a massive story line here ready to go, so let's allow Kenny to go to Japan and wrestle there where the people who tune in every week and pay the company's bills won't see him. If the Bucks are going away for a while then Kenny should have been involved in it. They tried to kill him. If you have to pass time until The Bucks can tag again, then have him spend a few months chasing them like a deranged psycho whose friends tried to kill him. Attack them at their home. Attack them at the hospital. Attack them at the airport, the bank, the bathroom at Taco Bell. Anywhere. And then when the Bucks are finally healthy enough to fight back and overtake him, that's when Kota Ibushi gets involved to help.

If you believe what's been said, Kenny was willing to leave the past in the past regarding certain situations, while it was the Bucks that held the grudge and kept burying the wedge deeper. So if you're around people that petty and small and immature, that tends to get tiring.

Listening to Alvarez yesterday and he was talking about how Collision is just really struggling with ticket sales and ratings. He said Tony really needs to sit back and look at this business model. He said that Punk and Adam Copeland were planned to be the stars of collusion but we know how that turned out. He said that all these guys in their main event scene have hard caps on their amount of appearances. He said Osprey, Mercedes, Bucks, Hangman, Kenny, MJF, Okada, Moxley, all have appearances in their contract and he was burning through them all quick.
Like is this true? That seems like a terrible plan when all your top guys can’t actually be on your show

I mean, limited could mean everything from like twenty shows a year to only one show per week. Like I would expect ospreay to be limited to only dynamite most weeks considering he still lives in the UK. But like I doubt he's one a "35 tv appearances per year" level of limit.
Alvarez in general does not get good aew info lol.

Alvarez in general does not get good aew info lol. I’ll retort with you, cause I think we have good convos based on how we see things. I just feel like when you have your top15-20 performers on “x” number of appearances when you have two shows 52 weeks a year, 12 ppvs, you are actively shopping a third show 52 weeks a year. Isn’t that a bit short sighted? Or you can at least schedule them out better. Collision is almost exclusively selling less than 2500 tickets weekly wouldn’t it be better to bring Mercedes in one week film like four interviews with her building to a match against Let’s say Shida 2-3 weeks out? Like this is the next time you will see Mercedes wrestle? Get your tickets now? But instead her one appearance will be in the corner of Kamille wrestling a match and then you don’t see her for 2-3 weeks. I just feel like they are on the cusp of being able to be great storytellers, week to week television again but they do things that baffle me, and getting constantly less and less metrics week to week.

I definitely agree they could be scheduled out a heck of a lot better and split between dynamite and collision better. I don't even like having the local top guys like Mox and Hangman on limited dates considering the schedule is already light by wrestling standards. (Which, is part of my skepticism of Alvarez including some of those guys when he's not been getting good info for a while now and Mox has been Mr. Consistent since day one. Took the poor guy until this year to finally get a mini vacation). My point was more I understand it with guys like ospreay who still live elsewhere because that was the big appeal was being able to stay in the UK and be with his lady and kid there.
