Warldow was the hottest act in the company two years ago but the booker of the year fuct that up. Tony is a great matchmaker. He is not a good booker. Give part of that blame to MJF as well, it was a team effort with him no showing that meet and greet and rumors of him walking out and no showing the ppv didn't help matters. Took the wind right out of poor wardlows sails.

Wardlow's booking afterwards did no favors but MJF basically no sold the biggest news coming out of that PPV and made it all about himself and the bidding war of 2024 that apparently never even happened.

After watching this week's Hey EW, I may eat my words on MxM. I was in tears laughing. To say I was unhappy to see them show up would be an understatement, but I'm thinking I may have been off on that.

RoH has really turned into a blend of aew dark and NXT. I'm all for it imo. Shift people there for a bit when they need to disappear from aew, use it as developmental to get reps and learn how to cut a promo. No complaints on my end for that use of it.

Bucks took a picture with Shane today. They were all on the same flight to California this morning.

After the Vince series, I hope Shane does get to work with AEW in some capacity. Clearly loves the business but somehow became the black sheep of the family because Vince learned to parent from his piece of sh** dad.

I was talking to a buddy yesterday about why I felt like FTR never really took off and became undeniably AEW’s top team? I said honestly I thought cause they have had them be babyfaces all this time? They don’t scream good guys to me. Arn and Tully were never babyfaces? They would be so much better as heels right? They seem so lost in the shuffle. Also Dax’s self important personality would be so easy to hate.

Also Dax’s self important personality would be so easy to hate. To me, I see FTR more like the team that reached the top of the tag division already and now they're in a spot that we've seen a lot of top AEW guys before. Moxley's 2021 or Orange Cassidy's 2022. Not constantly surrounded by a hot feud or a big angle but able to be plugged into any show on any given night for a big match. Them as an act is a big enough allure for now and they aren't necessarily needing to do a four or six month program all of the time. To me, the CMFTR (while brief) run, their Briscoes feud and their ability to perform at a huge level in big matches makes them the top of the division. I think their style overall lends more to a good babyface team and they're easy to like. They could probably be wonderful heels at any point of their career but they are still incredibly over. All of this also could be a bit of stop-and-start related to injuries. Cash has been much more apparent in that way but Dax has been working through numerous injuries all year. They're not doing anything big right now but they shine bright at every show they appear. No doubt they've got big angles in the future.

Tony becoming the evil person in wrestling he constantly bashes lol For holding Fenix to his dates that are in his contract? Dude paid a hurt talent for a year combined during periods where he wasn't able to perform. There is an injury clause in the contract that was agreed upon by both parties. Tony Khan is "evil" for exercising it? Quite the opposite when it comes to talent contracts. He lets talent make great money when there isn't another spot in the category for them to earn a comfortable salary. They stick around and call their own shots with no discipline and they can rub Tony wrong all day, and he still keeps them paid. Plenty of people he could have found in contempt of their current contractual deal and he's only had one major contract dispute which was CM Punk. He always holds up his end of the deal even when the talent doesn't hold up their's.

All this is assuming the sheets are to be believed. At least with how it's being framed, not passing the smell test to me.

Fenix shouldn't have time added on but he should have been made to do jobs. Only problem is the likes of him, Penta, Miro, Starks, Keith Lee are too political to come back to TV & lay down on their backs like they all deserve to

Meltzer is down to zero reliable sources in aew at this point.
This could still be true, other places are suggesting Penta ran his mouth about leaving and that's why Fenix is getting held up. Who the hell knows. They'll go there when they go there.

That's kinda the perfect trade. Malakai has been essentially garbage since Cody won the rubber match, he clearly wants to be elsewhere and HoB will be better off without him. Just let Julia and Brody run the show and give buddy something else to do. AJ is close to retiring but he and Kenny have to lock up one time before he does. Just put him on a quick two year retirement deal.

Swerve just kinda spoil confirmed the Fox show for AEW. He said fox, which could be fs1, but he also mentioned them losing smackdown and aew coming in, as well as being still with Warner Brothers. Swerve is (rightfully) one of the guys this company is currently built around so he's gonna know the score and he's gonna know if he can say it.

The top four entertainment shows on cable this past week were all wrestling shows Smackdown, RAW, AEW Dynamite & NXT. First time since 1999.
Great news for the business
