I'd be down for a Cyndi Lauper figure. I've always thought she was cool.

What they should do: Either DX Mike Tyson or NWO Rodman. Or both. What they will probably do: Captain Lou and Cyndi Lauper And if they go with the second, they will likely sell even less figures than they did this year with Ali. I agree, there isn't nearly as much crossover appeal with Lauper and Lou as the average collector thinks there is. WE want them, but that's because we long for the legends of that time. Most casual fans nowadays don't even know who either of them are let alone that they had anything to do with wrestling. They probably with go with the Lauper/Lou combo, but if they are smart, they'll make far fewer of them than they did the Ali figures. the sdcc exclusives aren't really aimed at the casual fan though Oh I know. I was just making the point that most people today in general don't know the connection. Which is why I was trying to say if they did make the set, they should make less of them. Aim for that hardcore collectors audience who would want them rather than try to go for the broad crossover appeal that they seem to keep trying for. Because while they could easily sell a limited run out, and pretty quickly at that, there isn't quite the mainstream crossover appeal for such a set as they may be aiming for.

Dennis Rodman would be a great exclusive and the perfect candidate. He had an interesting look, he’s still relevant to millennials and gen x in terms of fashion. He would also fill in the gap that many collectors want in the nWo line.

God that GI Joe Piper was my Holy Grail (I never got it). I had a GI Joe wrestling fed when I was a kid and this would have been PERFECT for that..... Always wanted this but way too expensive, especially now, since I'm 45 years old & no longer play with my GI Joes! I do still have them in a box in the closet, though....

Whatever it is, hopefully its not limited and plentiful to give working people a chance to buy instead of waiting for a specific time drop and battling with bots.

With Captain Lou debuting in the Legends line I am 99% positive we will see a 2-pack with Cyndi Lauper. If she happens to be announced for the 2024 HOF then odds move up to 99.999999%. Or… Give me my Goonies R Good Enough pack with Lou, Cyndi, Piper and Sheik in tuxedo tops, and maybe Volkov in overalls milking a cow, to celebrate the coming 40th anniversary of Goonies.

Whatever it is, I fully expect it to be somehow tied to Hogan, as that’s one of Mattel’s biggest themes this year.
I’m expecting either Thunderlips/Clubber Lang, Hogan/Rodman, or least likely, Thunderlips/Rocky Balboa.
That said, if I was in charge of picking, it would absolutely be Shep Ramsey from Suburban Commando.

why do people want a figure of cyndi lauper She was a crucial part of the mainstream wwf movement leading into wrestlemania 1 and the war to end it all on MTV. The Rock n wrestling connection. Had captain lou and other wrestlers on music videos and big reason wwf became pop culture and mainstream. Colorful and the it girl of the era.

I'm sure it's going to be Hogan.
Thunderlips is probably it but I'm holding out for Slammy Awards attire or Suburban Commando.
