you’re literally the only person i’ve seen begging for it in that specific of a form. Put your personal feelings for me aside for a moment... if you think the look below MOC wouldn't fly off the shelves from Hulk Hogan collectors and even casual collectors that like the 80s and 90s stuff then you're just trolling me. End of story. It would make a good champions series fig

Ultimate Edition Royal Rumble 2001 Drew Carey All other answers are wrong. UE Kane, UE Drew Carey, could have a cardboard backer of the locker room and to recreate their interaction before the match. Getting Kane in that look in any form is a must for me

It seems like Mattel is loading up on the Hogan Anniversary theme next year now whether or not that continues into July for Comic Con I don’t know just spitballing here would a Suburban Commando figure be out of question? Based off their figures of him next year they seem to be trying to celebrate his whole career. With the Japan figure, heel late 70s figure when he was with Blassie, the three pack, the night after bash at the beach. They’re really covering a lot of ground with him next year. You think they might toss another one of his movie roles in there again like they did with No Holds Barred? Just trying to stay with the theme they’ve been doing for a few years now with it not just being a wrestling character there’s been some crossover appeal.
Me personally I’ve had a list of cool figures within this context I’ve hoped for every year
:Pete Rose/San Diego Chicken- I still don’t know why the Padres haven’t signed off on this one already with the event taking place right there :Dennis Rodman/Karl Malone :Cyndi Lauper :Willie Nelson from Wrestlemania 8 :Morton Downey Jr Wrestlemania 5 :Jesse Ventura Predator :Celebrity Deathmatch style Stone Cold be an interesting change : 2 pack Donald Trump from Wrestlemania 4/5 and the battle of the billionaires- Mattel probably won’t ever do this for backlash of political agendas and crapbut it would sell like wildfire trump supporters buy all his stuff up :Andy Kaufman :Santa Mick- whole Christmas in July thing

Not sure how popular the Fridge is anymore, but he would be interesting to see. However, if we are going with a former Chicago Bear, how about this: Both are Ultimate Edition figures. Former Bears and no mention…god damn it. Nobody wants fridge or Payton 😜 Well, with Mattel doing the Monday Night Wars, I could see Mongo getting a figure. Not sure if the SDCC Exclusive would be the best spot for it, but I guess he wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility. Just throwing this out there, doubt it would be very popular, but how about a Chicago Bears wrestling 4-pack: Mongo from GAB96, Fridge from WM2, Payton from SSL94 and Dick Butkus from WM2 (he was one of the referees of the battle royal). They can all come with a Chicago Bears jersey as well.

A Saturday Nights Main Event 2-Pack of Jesse Ventura and Vince McMahon would be so awesome as well. I’d want this set to be in Coliseum Collection packaging, though that would mean wrestling gear Ventura. They could still do it in the Coliseum Collection packaging even though it's for SDCC. They did the SDCC Sgt. Slaughter a few years ago in the CC packaging.

Captain Lou as Mario & Danny Wells as Luigi from the Super Mario Supershow Certainly this idea would die in licensing hell but how amazing could it be.

With Captain Lou debuting in the Legends line I am 99% positive we will see a 2-pack with Cyndi Lauper. If she happens to be announced for the 2024 HOF then odds move up to 99.999999%. I would think that if he was planned for SDCC that they wouldn't have released him in Legends line first and 3 months before SDCC since his figure should hit in April (Mr. T, Zeus, Ali all had figures in other lines after the SDCC exclusive). They could still release Cyndi with Wendi (I don't think Mattel would do that tho) or even a 3/4 pack of Wendi, Cyndi, Hogan, Lou. I just think they need something else now to sell it since Lou will probably be on clearance at Target in July/SDCC.

• Joe Frazier from Wrestlemania 2 I would like to see. He could come with the kilt he wore in that match. Accessories could be a couple of corner stools. Could even be a two pack with Bob Orton wearing the Hot Rod corner man shirt. Just an idea anyway. Not sure how good it will sell though.
Almost want to see something like an Andy Kaufman figure just so that I can pass on it and not stress about getting it.

Doesn’t matter that they’ve already released Lou twice already. Plus it would be UE and people seem to lose their minds with that form factor. And I would assume they would probably give him his Girls Just Wanna Have Fun look or some sort of mashup of that look and wrestling.

Steve/Bill mentioned several times in the past that they space releases out for various reasons (for figures that aren't anchors). So I wouldn't say that it doesn't matter. Past behavior is a pretty good indicator of future behavior. I was just stating why I think it won't be just a two pack of Lou/Cyndi released THIS year. I could very well be wrong though since I don't know anything more than 99.9% of the people on this board. And even tho I would buy the set and I'm a huge fan of Cyndi, I think people are overestimating her selling power in 2023 (especially after the reaction of Ali who was also an actual athlete in the industry). My personal gut feeling is that it will be MNW related this year (Tyson, Rodman, Mongo, etc.) and/or involve Hogan to go with the 40 years of Hulkamania theme.

While Ali may be the bigger overall name he doesn’t evoke that nostalgia appeal and most wrestling fans do not have a connection with Ali either. Plus Ali was overproduced and not necessarily unwanted. Cyndi, on the other hand, is an 80s icon and hits that sweet spot of crossover appeal. Her role was instrumental in the Rock n Wrestling connection and selling WrestleMania to a mass audience. People questioned Mr T’s appeal as well and was quickly proven wrong. Lauper is pretty much up there with him as far as 80s nostalgia and wrestling importance.

I was at my buddy's toy shop this morning and I asked him his idea regarding this thread. He threw out the idea of a 3 PACK Ultimate Exclusiving including DDP, Rodman AND Karl Malone. I think my buddy has an excellent idea.

I think my buddy has an excellent idea. I hope your buddy doesn’t give Mattel any ideas because if we do get ULTIMATE jeans DDP, I sure hope it’s not in a three pack. I don’t want to pay $100+ for one figure I’ve wanted since the beginning of this line. We’ve waited far too long too get it in a Exclusive pack. Jeans DDP needs his own release with the full works. Serious headscan, snarling scan (paying homage to his Toybiz figure) Sleeveless shirt Vest Black wrist tape Multiple hands Painted on details on elbow pads Light blue jeans (dark jeans could be a variant)

Her main demographic now consists of 40-70+ year old women/gay men. Of those, how many are non-wrestling collectors and how many are willing to drop $70+ for an action figure of her and some manager they might recognize from her videos 40 years ago? Mattel would probably be better off releasing a Barbie of her like the Stevie Nicks doll.
