They got his legs wrong. Im starting to think they do this on purpose so they can do re-releases...the ruthless aggression JBL has the same problem as the original release, much too skinny for his body type. They shouldnt be getting these things wrong, we can all see it so why cant they?

I think they should just remold it. For a first time in the line, Scotty should have all the works. We've waited long for his figures. I prefer the Jakks chainmail, but I think it wouldn't scale right with Mattel I'm wondering how the Toyboz chain mail looks. http://instagram.com/p/CfvkZsNO3Ap I had this for a few years, I think that is what was used.

Scotty Steiner is one of my top 5 favorites of all time. Been waiting a long time for a modern-day figure of him. Overall it’s ok but not nearly as good as it could be.
1. Too tall. His legs are too long. Scott was not a super-tall dude at all, and looked short even next to HHH who’s listed as 6’4”. I’ve done a few fixups using the Rick Boogs thighs and Lesnar lower-legs and it does help with the height issue. Mattel sadly went the lazy route and gave him legs they already had molded.
2. The chainmail headdress sucks. Sits funny and doesn’t look right.
3. Head is too small. This was done to fit the headdress and neither ended up looking good. His head needs to be about 10-15% larger.

what the figure looks like. vs. what it looks like when i chop 2 inches off in MS Paint to make his legs proportioned like an actual person I literally just got this figure in the mail today and opened it and really like it, but now I can’t unsee this. Looks way better after what you did honestly

I think his figure’s height is fine. He’s in the right range. Meaning he’s taller than guys he should be taller than. And around the same height as others that are listed in his height range. And shorter than the guys who should be taller than him. He’s taller than Rick. About the same height as Sting, Bret & Piper. and shorter than Lex, Goldberg, Hogan, Hall and Nash and his figure matches that. So to me that’s fine. (And yes I f’d up the decal on Rick’s arm) If anything the Hall is too short.

PJ Rick Steiner is out of scale. He’s notably taller than WCW Ultimate Warrior and elite RVD, two guys who are taller than him. I noticed this when organizing my collection. I’m not a huge stickler for some height inaccuracies if it’s not too bad, but it’s noticeable. Scott Steiner, I don’t have the figure, but it has notable issues too. I still believe Mattel should give us the best representations when it comes to big names. I remember them having the Sheamus torso for Hollywood Hogan and not bothering to change it until we made a fuss about it.

The problem is that Mattel knows the Steiner’s will sell so they’ll put these lazy versions out first. They have no reason to really ever change the formula until they stop selling (Hogan is one of the biggest names in this industry and it took them years to finally get rid of the Sheamus torso for him). My fear is that if we ever get a UE Scott Steiner than they’ll use that terrible torso they used on Eddie and Kurt. Scott had a unique build and needs a unique sculpt.

I have said this since day one. Their scale is more of a range. Mattel never said that each wrestler was going to be exact scales. Sure there been some bad scaling like Mr Perfect and Swagger. But for the most part guys were in the general range. Rey and Bourne are shorter than everyone except Hornswaggle and El torito. Guys between 6’-6'3"are all about the same height. Guys between 6'4"-6'6" are all about the same height. Guys 6'7"-6'9" are about the same height. Then you have the giants that are about the same height.

I’ll be honest, I don’t think they’ll use the Kurt torso for UE Scotty. They used the unique mold for the crowdfund exclusive. The only thing that will be a big if and might screw up the figure will be if they use the same legs as this elite Scotty. I have a feeling that’s what they might do, use these legs, paint on the biker trunks and give him the same boots. I really hope Mattel listens to us and gives Scotty MOLDED biker trunks and Steve Austin boots. Scotty also had thick legs, but that’s another story.

PJ That’s true, but if I recall correctly sometimes they have spreadsheet for parts that make up the height. Like with Hogan, I remember they said that they couldn’t use the Kane torso because it was not compatible with the legs and would also skew with the height. With Rick Steiner, it’s evident that he’s literally a repaint of Bron Breakker. I don’t mind the figures being a little off here and there, but having the wrong physique and then having someone who is around 5’11 taller than a 6’2ft wrestler throws it off a bit.

I really want Scott Steiner in his shorts from WCW and I hope we get that in the future. I'm not too sure why we weren't shown anymore Steiners during Ringfest.

Great figure...I'm glad to have it in my collection. In the minority but I've no interest in a white singlet Steiner. I need 2 more Scott figures...
WM9 & 99/2000 era in black shorts.

Weird reading people say the Rick Steiner figure we got from mattel is great... It’s so botched in so many ways it would be unacceptable to have on my shelf. The Scott figure looks great from the waist up, but his 2000’s WWE run was his weakest and he’s too tall. Please mattel get us some better releases asap before their contracts run out or they get canceled.

This is why, after thinking about it more, I'm glad Mattel hasn't made the Steiner Brothers (team) just yet. They always seem to make some glaring mistakes on their first efforts. I'm glad they've made these Rick and Scott Steiner figures first so they can make a better Steiner Bros (hopefully!).
