Next Coliseum Collection Sets?

Honestly Steamboat and Dibiase kinda threw my thinking off, I know it's not completely random but it definitely feels out of left field. Personally I feel like they both could have carried a set themselves but I suppose Mattel would know better than I.

Seems like anything can happen at this point but seeing as they have a while before the sixth set is in hand im hopeful for Savage. I have no clue who they'd pair him with other than Elizabeth at this point which would be great but I don't want to get my hopes up.

My ideal set would still be The Bulldogs but I'm starting to think the Dream Team might be up next, but I'd be pretty happy with Orton and Orndorff or Sheik and Volkoff. I'd imagine them already having some Andre bits molded and hum being a bigger makes him higher up on the list of priorities but clearly they aren't pumping out the most popular names first.

I don’t think they have Orndorff anymore, as he got/ is getting a Remco style elsewhere. And didn’t the Orton Legend, which is relatively close to what a CC version would be, shelf-warm? I don’t think we’ll be seeing him in this line anytime soon. I’d get them all, personally, but the release order matters only because I still think this line ends after the next 2-4 series.

I don’t think they have Orndorff anymore, as he got/ is getting a Remco style elsewhere. And didn’t the Orton Legend, which is relatively close to what a CC version would be, shelf-warm? I hope it doesn't die out, there's still way too many figures left to do. Clearly I'm in the minority that'll buy em no matter what but I'd hope there's enough interest to keep it alive for a few more years

For me the expensive and hard to get duo of Hillbilly Jim and King Kong Bundy.

But reality would be Studd in RED/Black robe and Andre. Maybe short and long hair with some scissors and a bag of money.

Wish they would do a 3 pak

All of those sound great to me! I thought I’d read on this forum that Hillbilly signed a new legends deal last year at some point. Was that just rumor, or confirmed? Was hoping to see a new fig/render of him Mania weekend. Hopefully at SDCC?

Yeah, I know it won’t be quite the same scale or look, but depending on price, I’m interested in the Zombie Bundy that’s coming.

I’m curious about Muraco too. Is he still available? It would seem odd for a legend to sign and get just one figure, but that was years ago now. Did it sell that poorly? He could be a nice sleeper for this line if still available.

but why is everyone a no on an 80s Tito, with Ariba t shirt Green IC belt. blue trunks and maybe that jacket he had.

I collect 84 85 maybe some 86 for my collection

and the FACE - Good guys are lacking big time. we will never get another Snuka, so I need a Tito for Coliseum.

We need a First time in the line in the Coliseum Collection. Haku is rumored to be signed but, we wont see him until 2025 or later possibly. I really cant think of any other firsts they could give us that are plausible besides Dynamite, OMG, Ventura, Killer Bees....The Bees are definitely on the fringe of maybe never, Adrian Adonis would be a incredible figure but I don't see it ever being made, Hercules same thing.

I don’t think you’re alone in wanting Tito for this line. I’m a Latino golden era wrestling collector, so he’s a big want for me too. The bigger issue, though, is he has figs coming from PowerTown and hasn’t had a Mattel fig in years. So I really don’t think he’s an option, at least not now.

I’m a little surprised they didn’t save at least The Bushwhackers return for this line instead of doing the Doink figs. I agree that firsts or surprise returns would be nice for this line. Maybe Hillbilly Jim? Honestly though, I’m not counting on it. Other than adding the black cards, Mattel seems relatively content accepting that this line as niche and for a limited audience.

Why do you say that? I don't recall anyone saying no to Tito. A Chico/Ventura set is a huge want for me. Blue or purple trunks, black Arriba shirt or the light blue jacket he sometimes wore would be nice. Getting the old green IC title belt included would be great as well.

I don't know...the Bees dont seem that unlikely to me but, I dont know why they havent gotten figs in the Mattel era. At this point, I'd even be happy even if one of them got a figure (ideally with an alternate masked head so a x2 purchase gets us masked bees at least). Anyway, I just dont see them on the verge of never like say Outback Jack and Ted Arcidi.

I'm with you. That would be one of my favorite sets in the line so far. I wasn't a Tito fan as a kid, but I'm currently rewatching a bunch of 80s stuff and I've become a big Tito fan. The dude could work!

Yep. He was like Ted DiBiase and Arn Anderson. I don't recall any 5-star matches they had, but they never had a horrible match. They were steady and consistent. You could always count on them to deliver.

Tito winning and then losing the IC title, getting knee surgery, then fighting his way back to regain the IC title was pretty riveting to me at the time.

After you put it like that, never is definitely too strong of a word for the bees. I’m hoping we get them one day. And yeah… Arcidi, SD, Outback Jack, Billy Jack, Snuka, Kirchner, Johnny V and Patera are most likely in the never category.

Agreed. I don’t know of anything either Bee did to make them in the “never” category, they were around for quite a while, and had a very “toyetic” look. Doing them with masked and unmasked heads, and entrance jackets, would look great! If not for this line, could fit right into the new Mattel Creations exclusive deep cuts tag sets they are starting to do, or simply Legends.
