I see it being either Larry Zbyszko or Andre, but I would definitely like to see it be Ivan Koloff.

I don't recall who said it, maybe it was Kyle Peterson or Alex West, but someone speculated it was Larry Zbyszko and that makes a lot of sense as well...I would rather it be Pedro, Koloff, or a new 70s Billy Graham but I am looking forward to any figures from this era! WWWF Zbyszko doesn’t make much sense as that’s a serious deep cut that hardly anyone is familiar with. Especially when there are other looks they could do that are easily recognizable like Dangerous Alliance or Nitro Era commentator/occasional wrestler. *Unless maybe they do DA with alt head and plain black or red trunks as a chase. It makes sense in the fact that Larry and Bruno were very closely linked together in the late 1970's and early 1980's, with Bruno being his mentor and Larry turning on him in one of the biggest WWWF angles at that point in time. True most modern fans only remember Larry as a WCW announcer or maybe from the AWA, but the feud with Bruno was the highlight of Larry's career. I don't personally think it would sell very well at retail and it's not my preferred figure for a 70's star but these two legends are forever linked together in a lot of old school fan's minds. Fans old enough to remember that probably aren't currently buying action figures though...I would be most excited for another Superstar Graham!

Ken Patera would be a good one, too.

After watching all the episodes of All Star Wrestling available on the network, I’ve gotten a much healthier appreciation of WWF pre-1984. I’d love to see these:
King Kong Mosca Ted DiBiase (WWF North American champ) Pat Patterson (IC champ) Pedro Morales (with World, IC and Tag belts) Superstar Billy Graham Ernie Ladd Ivan Putski Ivan Koloff Bob Backlund Stan Stasiak Dusty Rhodes The Grand Wizard Dino Bravo (WWF Canadian champ) Tony Garea Mr. Fuji

I hope it's Ivan if it means we get Nikita too.

Mr. Fuji is definitely needed. Not only as a wrestler, but as a manager as well. If we can get a Mr. Fuji figure as a wrestler, I hope we can get a Prof. Tanaka and Mr. Saito someday as well. Ivan Putski is also an interesting choice.

You know, now that I'm thinking about it, it might be Captain Lou Albano. A lot of the wrestlers he managed went up against Bruno, so he could very well be the figure.

For the older manager head (Yokozuna manager, robe) and younger wrestler figure combination, he could also be the figure with the chase, he had a few different wrestling attires, so they could knock it out in 1 release. Plus, adding him as the chase could help sell the figures.

This is where I think a Legends Basic line would work really well. It would allow Mattel to get out some of the guys in plain trunks that don't really need Elite or Ultimate treatment.
