That Batman line would of been cool as a 6 inch line with articulation. I still have my DC Collectibles Batmobile, but I think I might have to part with it in the future. I hope we could get The New Batman Adventures Batmobile, I feel like it's one of the most under appreciated ones.

I missed Alfred online and they haven’t stocked him in my area yet. Hoping he shows up soon.

So after an initial burst of hope and excitement in hearing that DC Direct's BTAS line was continuing via McFarlane, I have to say after seeing the "cel-shaded" paint design (which doesn't match our existing collections), their "strategy" of expecting us to buy every figure again to get new characters (as Build-A-Figures), and also noticing a distinct drop in overall quality from seeing reviews (even cel-shading aside, the paint finish looks like garbage), I have totally lost interest in this line again.
I have no interest in rebuying my entire collection in a new style I don't even like manufactured under lower quality standards (especially considering DC Direct's plastic QC was often lacking anyway). Even if it means finally getting the missing BTAS characters DC Direct was too busy doing spin-off lines to remember.
What a joke. BTAS deserves better.

So I see new figures for New Adventures of Batman. I don't think I watched this show. Were a lot of the character designs just a crossover or did they change? My memory is hazy on both shows really, but I remember a lot of the BTAS designs, not all.

My memory is hazy on both shows really, but I remember a lot of the BTAS designs, not all. The New Adventures of Batman was a comic back in the ‘60 and an animated cartoon featuring Adam West and Burt Ward. McFarlane is releasing Rhein in his ‘66 retro line. Batman the Adventure Continues is/was a comic based on BtAS/TNBA after the cartoons ended. The first two waves of the new figures were based on the BTAS this new wave (Batman, Batgirl, Croc & Two-Face) are based of the TNBA where the designs were more streamlined.

I am F’n livid right now. Target just cancelled my BtAS Lock-Up wave. I just went off on a poor customer service representative on the phone. Not my finest hour, but I needed to blast someone. So I placed the order on Dec 15. I had updated the app to my new debit card when I got it on the last week of Dec. I knew they would do the hold charge between Jan 14-16 so I made sure the money was in the account. Monday I received an email saying there was something wrong with my payment and to correct it before the 17th (today) to avoid it being cancelled. So as soon as I got that email I deleted and reentered my card information. Not seeing the hold yesterday I contacted Target directly and checked to see if they received the updated information. I was told yes it was run and gone through. So no problems. Well 4pm today I got an alert from Target saying my order was cancelled. WHAT!!!? So I called them again inquired why and was told because I didn’t update my payment. And I needed to contact my bank. So I went off on him saying what I did above (with a few sentence enhancers) then he said he could help me replace the order which we did. And it came out to $165 which I said wasn’t going to work for me because my original order was $108.64 because there was a spend $100 and get $25 off as well as my $24 in Circle Savings I used. So in the end he refunded me $55 on the new order. But I am still sick since Thanksgiving and as much as I have gotten better I am still suffering with a wicked cough and it’s still hard to breath so this aggravation was the last thing I needed.

Some of the TNBA redesigns were a huge step backwards.....Joker & Jim Gordon in particular. Thankfully Timm restored Joker a bit for JL but he still isnt as good as TAS.

www.toyark.com/2024/01/16/mcfarlane-the-new-batman-adventures-wave-1-full-pics-and-details-524547Am I imagining things or has the new McFarlane TNBA wave NOT got the cel-shaded paint style? Probably they just used old DCD proto pics or forgot to do the cel shading on the protos. But I really really hope McFarlane are truly abandoning the cel-shaded style, and for the BTAS line too, because like surely the majority of BTAS/TNBA figure collectors, I want to continue my DCD collection (which was not cel-shaded), not rebuy everything again or add new figures that don't match the rest of my collection.

I forgot, but I believe he was in one of the early episodes. I remember finding his voice interesting. I can’t remember, it’s been a while since I’ve watched the show. @pj do you think it would be worth hanging onto the DC Collectibles Batmobile and Batwing? I love both pieces and imo I don’t think we’re ever going to get something as intricate as those two. However, part of me wants to get rid of them due to the amount of the space.

I would keep them but that’s me. I could see McFarlane rereleasing them at some point, but I would want my originals

I saw Batman and Mr. Freeze at Target today. I forgot that these are $30 each. I think that's why I passed when I first found the entire wave. McFarlane has always been priced reasonably, but these are a bit too steep. Still, I'm tempted to buy in anyway.
