Shoutout to kojikanemoto for the test shot! It was packed up nice and I like it. I hope you enjoy your figure as much as I do this one.

I just opened my Max Moon and it’s an f’n test shot. I’m am not happy. Almost $90 and I don’t have the figure I wanted. Just sent him a message. Urgh I'll gladly trade you the figure for the one that you wanted. I will even pay for shipping both ways. You won't do this though because you are complaining even though you know the figure you won is worth far more than the one you expected. Seems like he would do it. And did. Worked out for you too. Nice of you to thank him but you should apologize too. It appears from the posts here, the majority of collectors do not want “test shots.” To have to opt out of a potential test shot when buying a figure is ridiculous. If anything, you should have to opt in to be considered for one.

I'd rather not have one and if I ever decide to buy from KWK, will have to make a mental note to ask for a regular figure, which seems incredibly silly. IMO, if you want a test shot or a prototype, you should have to tick a box. It shouldn't be the other way around.

You did trade and were easy to deal with to boot. I was wrong and I'm glad we were able to help each other out.

Mine should be here tomorrow, I’m happy to hear that you like it! Got it today, I appreciate the trade and I’m happy it worked out well. and I do like the figure. The legs have a bit of a weird shape but other than that it’s well done with nice detail and paint apps. It’s someone I remember well and is absolutely a character Hasbro could have made back then so it’s great to have. But I wish Shawn had been more understanding and it’s more than likely my last figure from him.

Got my Max Moon / Komet Kid figure today - and I love it! It’s probably up pretty high among my favourites of the independent companies. Head sculpt looks like Paul Diamond, even with the mask on; and the paint apps are great - with the bright colours he’s got to be up there in the ‘most toyetic’ discussion.
Like with many other figures, the kegs seem a little on the skinny side scale-wise; but the arm pose is reminiscent of Samu or Dragon, and so looks like he’ll fit in nicely.

I have this and Mantaur, and like them both. He moaned a lot about his old factory and changed now, but seems the figures will look more like his competitors as will be using the same factory most use. Shame, as was looking forward to Well Dunn in the Mantaur style.

I must have missed the Well Dunn announcement….or I’m getting forgetful in my old age….but I’d be interested in them and Orient Express - they’re just pretty pricey. Conquistadors look good but I don’t need/ want them enough to shell out to be honest.

They were announced SDCC weekend.
I’m still on the lookout for the normal Mantuar at a reasonable price. Being patient as it is not a HUGE want but definitely fits in.

There are some Series 1 figures posted up on KWK's site right now. This may be your last chance at some of them.

I was in the middle of ordering a Variant B Mantaur when the cart showed an error stating that it had just sold out.
Some day!
