The Reigns/Paul set was just delivered. I'm not really a fan of either guy but this is an amazing set. Reigns has incredibly tight knees (although I've made some headway with heat and shock oil) but otherwise each figure is incredibly smooth. The details on Roman's boots are nice and a little unexpected on a basic. There's something almost nostalgic about these basics. They're not at all like the old Toy Biz WCW figures I liked when I was younger, but they sort of remind me of them. They're just fun figures. If I was a kid, I'd have a blast with these.

I really want to see if an elite torso will fit on these new basics. If so it would be a game changer for figures going forward

Being able to swap the hands on these is pretty nice. Especially since I'm swimming in extra hands. Heads come right off too. It would be nice to be totally done with boil and pop parts on this line. Seems like we're getting really close to that reality.

Trips was stiff as hell, so I figured I'd try swapping some stuff around since he was getting a bath anyways. This isn't the best example of what you can do, but here's the basic Trips with Taker legs. The Tiple H legs don't go so well with UT, but everything swapped on without any issues. I can try some better combos tomorrow.

I cannot crack a basic to save my life and I'm not willing to sacrifice a new figure to try it, unfortunately.

I wish they still had the bicep swivel and ankle joint of the old days, but these are a game changer for me. This what I imagined the line should’ve been 13 years ago: Basics that can do a powerbomb.
This is going to make it so much easier to collect lower card guys and feel like they fit in with elites. I can think back on all the tag teams I have that never got elites like the B Team, the Colons, the Prime Time Players.
And I’ll be more likely to buy street clothes versions of wrestlers, too, now. A+ for Mattel on these.
