A popular running gag here is about certain members bullying MDT off the boards (though that wasn't the case at all). But yet the Nitro thread here and abroad was nauseating because of the behaviors you mentioned. Mattel is far from perfect but I wouldn't blame them for not trying to produce special items if all they're met with is consternation and armchair QB's that contribute to an overall negative view of an otherwise awesome project. It was terrible indeed and the thread was all over the place. I just wanted the Nitro stage and somewhat feel gutted that it'll never see the light considering my collection focuses around that era. Such a cool piece. That thread was so bad to the point where I kind of questioned warning bans. You had some over the top jokes, which were over looked like nothing. To an extent it made me wonder if people just report or snitch individually or as a mob. I got a one week ban for posting a joke about The Rock mind you. I called that out too when everybody was all-in when shown at SDCC last year, even talking about funding both and stuff, then they Mattel puts it up for crowdfund and there was a wave of excuses being thrown around as to why not support. The international shipping one was very valid but the one that made me feel bad to be part of this community was the 'I'm not buying in, I'm holding off, they'll add more figures when we get to the last week'. Also feels like Steve decided to stop being a regular here and only pop-in occasionally into this after that thread and the whole Crowdfund reaction. And to be honest, I don't blame him.

ECW Entrance doesn’t seem like it needs a crowdfund either even if you include the fencing. They can do something like the RAW letters entrance with that. Bundle it with elites of Paul E and RVD. the crowdfunding aspect would be to add a few lights and first time in the line figures. not to mention the tooling in general would be more involved than 3 stand alone letters all hypothetical of course because it won’t be made either way, retail exclusive or crowdfund

I want a talk show multipack. Brother Love would be minimal with lavender curtain and red carpet and podium. Ultimate brother love with proper shade of face, rose and hanky, proper sized mic.
Pipers pit could be minimal too. Wm3 version with arches would be nice. Ultimate edition piper
Funeral Parlor would have most details. Wreathes upright wooden casket metal casket with magnets of warrior and hogan logos. Ultimate edition paul bearer

They still have to work with whoever is signed by WWE. So it’s only gonna be Heyman, RVD, Funk, or Bam Bam who would go with the brick wall entrance. Or guys like Dusty, Jake, or Lawler who showed up for a few appearances.

You're right, I dream my dreams, lol. It's a shame cause I doubt anyone else like a 3rd party will try it either.

Lol - let’s not pay too much attention to this poll. I doubt that any high end entrance stage will be offered again, much less backed. I think they should do the Funeral Parlor and load it up with figures. Taker, Hogan, Flair, Warrior, Shango, Piper anyone who can remotely be connected to it. If they can get Savage back in the line, I would really like this one to be included as well: Completely agree

It’s a casket on a table with some flower arrangements. Not really something requiring Mattel to collect all the upfront costs beforehand before going into production. Fair point. Guess I was more just answering the question and thinking how they could load it won’t with figures to ensure it’s success. Basic stage, back drop, coffin and Stand - add Taker, Paul and insert your fav wrestler here. Then just add 3-5 tiers to fill it out. But you’re still correct lol.

Heck, they couldn’t even add Taker without people complaining we already got UE Taker with Gooker.

But you’re still correct lol. I say go full out with it. Early bird special: UE Ultimate Warrior and his Warrior Casket from the segment when they locked him into the Cage. 1st Tier: UE Paul Bearer (wouldn't get an Ultimate Edition figure otherwise) with the main table and flowers. 2nd Tier: UE Hulk Hogan (Hulk Rules shirt, python power bandana & WWF title) with Hogan Casket from the segment when Flair and Taker attacked him. 3rd Tier: Ric Flair (green robe and the Big Gold Belt they were going to give to the Nitro Hogan figure) and the wooden coffin that Taker popped out of. 4th Tier: Macho Man Randy Savage (jacket, hat & glasses) and the wooden chair he brought to save Hogan. 5th tier: Roddy Piper (kilt and shirt) with the wooden chair he brough to save Hogan. Fog machine sold separately... They really wouldn't need an Undertaker figure since we got one with the Gooker set; and that Taker figure works with the Funeral Parlor segment when they locked Warrior in the casket. But they could include a head of Taker with the Paul Bearer figure (first tier) of the hairstyle he wore at the time (Hogan's segment) that you could put on the UE Undertaker figure we already received. They could also include the pointy glove parts since he wore a different style during that time. This would give us a figure we probably would never get in UE form (Bearer). And even though we would get 5 figures of guys that already get UE figures, those are all top sellers, and it would be in attires we haven't had yet - with the exception of Piper.

After giving it some thought I suppose if they did something like the ultimate golden age interview set then that may warrant a crowdfund. A diorama piece with several interchangeable parts. It could include the blue background with the yellow block logos, the pipers pit back drop, the brother love podium, casket on a table, plus the corresponding furniture, carpeting and background accessories. I don’t think figures are needed cuz we should all have Undertaker, Piper, Love, Gene, etc. Stretch goals should be just more sets like Snake Pit, Barber Shop, or different character specific backdrops for promos they did before SNME or during Superstars. If you were to include a figure then I suppose UE Mean Gene could work in Coliseum Collection packaging. Possibly Brother Love with a toned down red face as one of the stretch goals.

Don’t understand the whole ‘well Nitro didn’t fund so stages are a no go’ - Nitro was never going to be as popular as a RAW or probably even a Smackdown. Just because people didn’t want THAT stage, doesn’t mean the concept is dead. People are saying that stages are a "no go" because the design team because said that if the Nitro stage didn't get funded, then it would be very difficult to try to create another stage at that price point. Some of the tooling for the Nitro stage was going to be reused for the Raw stage which would have made the Raw stage a bit cheaper (not cheaper than the Nitro stage, but cheaper than what it'd be without completely new tooling). The Raw stage is WAY bigger and would now be WAY more expensive than the Nitro stage. I don't know how you could realistically believe that the Raw stage would get funded now. The general consensus was that the Nitro stage was too large and too expensive. The Raw stage will be bigger and more money. I don't see it happening, and this is why many people are saying stages are most likely not happening.

Think you’re being too specific - the “bosses” who green light the cost to develop and propose these things couldn’t care less about specifics, they’ll simply see $250 stage/ring/figures = funded and $450 big stage/figures = didn’t fund! No way they are coming out with a bigger more expensive (which Steve confirmed the Raw one would be) stage next time. And that all is said, with the fact that talk is cheap and lots of tire kickers talk about how they’ll back this and that, and yet, come money time, they don’t. Next crowd fund (if there is one) needs to be a significantly lower price point than the Nitro stage!

People also tend to forget that the economy changed drastically between when the Nitro stage was shown and when the Crowdfund was announced. People were a lot more liberal then with their money and it probably would have been funded had it been done then, but times have changed considerably. It also didn't help that in the middle of the crowd fund Mattel dropped a MOTU play set comparable in size for a fraction of the price which made the stage look very over priced.

Another factor is reissues. I’m convince Mattel scarred off the multi buyers (those who purchased 2,3 or more of the new Gen) because of the reissue approach. My own personal opinion is I think it’s continuing to hurt the line overall, but what do I know… lol.
