Wasn't the first ever Rey figure a literal accessory? Has anyone ever compared that figure to modern figures? Might be funny to see. The first American Reu figure was an accessory. His first figure was actually this: Wow I’ve never seen one of those AAA figures on card before

I’m amazed at how bad wrestling figures were before Jakks. Toybiz had a fully articulated Spider-Man figure in like 1990. The original 5” Power Rangers came out in 1993 (in America) and had full articulation. Anyway, Goldberg also came with a Rey Mysterio and I’m pretty sure he was in the same series as the Giant.

The Rey figure that came with Goldberg was different to the one that came with Giant though. And the one that came with Goldberg had at least one or two variants. A bunch of other figures in that line had variants too, because of NWO/Wolfpack allegiance.

Is that right? I figured they'd be in scale with everything else they've done. Has that officially been said? I probably missed it. No not officially and probably something they won't go out of there way to confirm either knowing bill. But going by every ultimate to elite counterpart, the ultimates are always taller, every single one. That's a bot of a stretch IMO. Pulling every Ultimate that I have a corresponding Elite to, it seems to only be a major issue three time: Fan Takeover HBK, Cody (and that one's arguable) and Edge (and TBH Edge seems more like a head-size issue more than an overall figure scale issue. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there are issues with others I don't have (or don't have an Elite to compare) but it seems to be more scattershot than an absolute. The ones with noticeable discrepancy:

It's the torsos that are causing the discrepancy between Ultimates and Elites.

I had no idea Ultimates had their own scale. I just thought they were meant to be compatible. If anything, I also believe some of the neck pegs also change the heights too. Some of the elites aren’t even the same height. Sometimes it’s the torso. I’m ok with the scale being a little off, but not when it’s too noticeable like Rick Steiner. They made him taller than Ultimate Warrior, RVD and a few others, not to mention that he doesn’t resemble Rick’s body type either. Just all around cashgrab.
