There’s been great progress from the beginning of this line to now. Sure there’s a few bumps along the road but the general consensus is this line is a hit. Numbers don’t lie. Main series going up 2 to 3. Targets legends going from 2 a year to 4. Walmart wanting in with exclusives added 4 this year another 4 next with MNW. 2 Amazon fan takeovers. Colosseum 2n1s so like 4 ults a year I believe. Then the random Amazon / RSC exclusives here and there. The line went from around 4 a year to 20ish and will continue to grow

I never really had much interest in them from the jump. Always thought Elites looked better especially with the roll out of the double jointed elbows.

Ultimates are only slightly better for posing, with the butterfly and toe joints. Outside of that, Elites are better… in my opinion.

Something weird is going on at Mattel I feel. I don't know if they're trying to put too much out at once or something but I feel like the quality is dipping.
Ultimates felt SPECIAL. They were super high quality and they all felt worth it. I remember when I saw Ultimate Undertaker and I was like holy cow that may be one of the best 1998 Undertaker's I have ever seen. Now it's just like...oh alright, cool. It has a bit more deco? I'm not impressed anymore.
Same with the Elite line. It just feels like it's coasting? Like maybe they're overworked or something?
Slow down!

Slow down! You say that, but it really depends on the talent. Amazon taker is a lot better than takers 1st ultimate. Remember takers 1st ultimate has a special Michael Jackson head scan? New rock is better than ultimate 7 Rock. Brocks 2nd ultimate is better than his first. Target bret is worse than Brets 1st ultimate, however Brets GH ultimate is better than both. Randy Orton is a dud due to the lack of deco on tights, but that's macho man's fault 😂 Of course most of this is opinion but I think majority shares the same view.

I’m not losing interest. It’s a frustrating line to collect with Walmart Gerri f exclusives and shelling out to uncle Paulie rather than wasting my time driving to multiple locations, and yes there’s been some odd part choices for sure. But it’s still my favorite line

Been all in since series one.
The line was always going to expand, so I’m okay with the increased volume and expanding into current day superstars. I have 2 possible barriers to remaining a completist of the line.
1) as a international collector (Australia), I’ve always understood that shipping is going be an additional cost. Been paying it for 20+ years. But!!! The exclusives are killing me. Having to pay overs on all the Target and Walmart exclusives is starting to add up - average is around $140 Australian each all up, after shipping etc (that’s about $90us) . It is what it is, watching the secondary market closely, looking for deals and often buying multiples (to on sell - sharing the shipping costs out with my fellow Aussie collectors)helps bring the cost down.
2) reissues - yes, reissues SUCK! I want new figures or even repaints. I’m sorry you weren’t collecting or “missed out” when figures were released, but the insistence on ensuring everyone has the exact same collection makes it hardly worth while bothering to overcome the exclusives problem/cost I mentioned above.
Just my thoughts…
(No need for the whole scalper comments etc. I’ve paid overs on more figures then a lot of collectors - factor in the additional shipping costs international collectors face etc. there is not money to be made LOL)

I have lost interest in WWE figures period since the SDCC and those terrible Hart Foundation Coliseum Collection reveals to be specific. I had such resentment for the finished product that I have lost interest in collecting their figures. Then when I saw the finished product of the Jimmy Uso Ultimate Edition it made me lose further interest. How many times are people going to correct them and they keep putting out newer figures with the same mistakes and asking for premium prices for them?

The battle is going to always be "That character doesn't have enough detailed attire etc to be worth the premium price of an Ultimate." Goldberg, Randy Orton, HHH all had perfectly good elites.

That's a great box collection!
Yeah, I know everyone is different, but I don't really get the idea behind displaying them like that. Seems a waste. May aswell hang a poster up.
Surely front-facing to display the figure is a better way, or even 45 degrees and staggered if space is an issue. Displaying the side of the box seems very odd, to me.

I really like it. I'd probably put a few of the boxes face-front though so you can see a few of the figures. Or open/buy again a few of my favourites to display loose in front of the boxes, so you have the best of both worlds. Each to their own though.

I'm not losing interest in the figures themselves because I think they're pretty damn good, but it's becoming increasingly more obvious to me that the pool of talent worthy of a UE figure is shrinking.
I would lose interest if all we started getting were different attires of the same people over and over again. On the other hand, do I want a UE figure of Chad Gable or Braun Strowman? Ehhhh.
