I haven't been this effected by an out of nowhere death this bad since Eddie. It's almost like it still hasn't set in that he's gone. Shock? Idk. But 36 is too damn young. He had so much more life to live not only for his family but for his fans. I just don't get it. But, that's life. The only thing we can do now is remember Bray for all the times he entertained us. We don't have to let his memory fade. Let him in.

I haven't been this effected by an out of nowhere death this bad since Eddie. Agreed. Celebrity deaths tend not to effect me, but this is a whole level of different. I'm a wreck. Being 36 too, it just sucks.

The tribute video got me bit. Also seeing some of the fan interaction videos on twitter. You could tell the guy genuinely loved this and it’s cool when those type of people make it. It’s funny the reach and impact pro wrestling/wrestlers can have.

Still can’t believe this really happened. 😞 I'm sitting here still wishing it were a hoax. It's truly unbelievable.

No real desire to watch SD tonight but I wanted to see the opening. That Wyatt tribute was tough to watch. Very rarely will wrestling get tears out of me, I can only think of 2 examples off the top of my head...but this one...This one was tough.

One thing you can never knock WWE for, it's their vid package direction and quality.

The feeling of numbness still hasn’t worn off. It’s hard to believe he’s gone and no longer here with us… one of those you want to wake up from and it all be just a terrible, terrible nightmare.
Gonna miss the big man.

very surreal
I empathize for you all who are grieving, and his colleagues and family of course

When I first broke the news to my friends I talked about how I had been dreading this outcome because the vibes were so much like Brodie I was terrified.
Now, after watching Smackdown, it no longer feels real. It was real, now it's not.
Something about the dual tribute show and the way that Funk's tribute stuff felt like it was prepared in advance but the stuff for Bray had a whole different feel to it. Like, they died a day apart but, I don't know if Terry was sick, but it felt like they were ready for Terry.
But Bray is just a complete gutpunch and now I'm having trouble understanding and grasping that this is really happening. I wasn't this affected when my own grandmother passed away a few years back. I watched Over the Edge (which apparently happened on Bray's 12th birthday) and Raw is Owen live. I've had friends and family die on me over and over again.
I've never really been wrecked over any of them quite like this and for the life of me I can't figure out WHY.
Maybe he really was just that magical. Maybe Bray really was like some sort of cosmic muse entity who flew in with the buzzards and who glowed with the fireflies. I don't know. But in the span of 24 hours this has somehow gone from tragedy for me to unreality and now I'm just having a hell of a time processing it.

Such sad news, much love to all his family and friends. I thought the tribute on Smackdown was beautifully done. Forever a legend and one of the greatest characters the wrestling business has ever seen.
RIP Bray, thank you for the memories.

Bray was one of the best things in wrestling in the last 20 years tbh… he had a 13 year run but his legacy will live on forever.

Bray was never booked improperly. He just never had a lengthy championship reign. Which many feel he “deserved”… but he did have 3 championship reigns and was a prominent feature in WWE program for the majority of his career.
And yes, I’ve been a fan of Wyatt since his NXT debut. Still one of the most captivating characters in wrestling history.

I still can’t believe he’s gone. When he made his return last year, the whole buzz surrounding the WWE was so positive. I haven’t been that invested in the product for years. Man, I wish things could have worked out differently.
