...and why are Smyths charging a full £8 MORE for Legends figures than standard Elites? Where do they get this RRP from? Mattel? Now that I don't know but I agree it's ludicrous. I won't pay it. PJ are legends more expensive stateside than regular elites? I see they are already marked down too. There’s one Target store across the river that they cost more than at any other store. But that seems to be with everything. Everything is $1 to $5 more there depending on the item. That’s why I don’t go there often and when I do I have them price match their app. But in general they are the same as Elites. Maybe it costs Smyths more to purchase because they are a U.S. store exclusive so they charge more than the standard MSRP? Or they just know they are popular and are raising the price because they know you’ll buy them. I am guessing just like any other store they can set the MSRP to whatever they want? Small businesses like Mom & Pop stores do that all the time.

Huh. Apparently legends are $1 more than normal elites. I had no idea this was a thing, probably because stores near me never have any of the regular elites in stock because distribution is so bad If it wasn't for RSC and Amazon, I'm not sure how the main elite line would survive. Besides shippers, Walmart is always empty and Target skips like 4 series at a time and then only gets one box in. If the focus isn't going to be on the main elite line, then I wish Target/Mattel would just transition over to a full Legends line (and add Legends Top Picks/Talent, Legends Retros, Legends Basics, etc.). The main elite line can go to the smaller stores/city Targets.

The thing is, with Smyths charging us £8 more ($10+ USD) for Legends, no-one is going to buy them at that price (they're already having to discount some) - and then they'll stop carrying the line and use the old excuse of "we tried, but..." 🤦♂️.
Why not just charge the same as Elites (£19.99) in the first place? Or even something like £21.99/£22.99. I guess I'd just like to know where/how they get their crazy RRP... especially as online and specialist stores have them quite a bit cheaper (...usually, it's the other way 'round).

It was the same with Ultimates. There was a CRAZY markup on them. then they stopped getting them because they weren't selling. When I worked it out they were nearly at 40USD. as I said Kama and D-Lo are already marked down. Brother Love wasn't stocked. UT remains at regular price.

I just want to echo the OP... as another (long time) UK collector, it's coming to a point where I may just give up - it's becoming less and less fun and more of a headache. Collecting toy figures really shouldn't be this difficult(!). I'd LOVE to actually buy Mattel's product (Ruthless Aggression Elite & Ultimates, MNW Elites & Ultimates, Superstars figures, various 3 & 4 packs etc)... none of it is available though. It's just so frustrating 😔. I totally get that and share the frustration. Walmart is horrible in Chicago (scalpers, empty shelves, we only have a couple in the city). I wouldn't let that stop you from collecting the whole line though. For example, I paid more for Torrie and Bischoff (through Paul) so I'm passing on Taker and SCSA. I wasn't too thrilled with their figures anyways, but I probably would have bought them all if I was able to order them from their website at normal prices. And you have a whole forum of people here that are willing to help pick up stuff at cost + shipping. As I mentioned, I don't have the best luck with Walmart and we are having our own issues, but if you need something that I come across there or Target (which I usually don't have a problem with), I can help pick stuff up. I don’t know Kirk. I’ve had post up on Classifieds USA asking for exclusives etc for ages and never had a response. I’ve even offered more money than retail to cover time. I’m a member with 100% clean record of trades (I pay with PayPal). Just seems like no one wants the hassle or there already helping people maybe. Or maybe it’s become such a pain that they struggle just to get there own, I’ve been having to go to eBay….I even message a seller to let him know what I’m looking for lol….it’s cost a lot of money. EBay Shipping costs, customs, etc…

EBay Shipping costs, customs, etc… Yeah, unfortunately, you're going to have a subset of the forum that don't visit Classifieds. I buy most of the main elite line off RSC (and sometimes Amazon), Target exclusives from Target and then Walmart exclusives from Paul or eBay so I don't really have a need to visit the Classifieds section. I'm sure other people have the same browsing habits. Maybe they should sticky a thread here for a INTL buddy system to gain more traction.

Don't put nothing on Mattel Creations, because they have put a block on my payment ever since I tried reloading the page when I tried to purchase the Muhammad Ali SDCC exclusive. It's been almost a month and these clowns still haven't gotten around to resolving my issue. I have been round in circles with them for the last three weeks. They have an automated computer message whenever you reply to their emails and knocked back to square one. Their customer service is a joke and the worse I have ever dealt with. They don't want to give me compensation for all the frustration this experience has caused me and so this is why they are dragging their feet. Don't put nothing on Mattel Creations because it's awful. If you need help with their customer service than you are straight up ed. FWIW I have an extra set I just never got around to putting the effort into cancelling.

The reason many internationals didnt back the wcw stage was that we dont get the mnw figures anyways If you add the added cost international collectors had to pay for the stage, having to buy another scale ring from ringside to get a Bishhoff and the reality of never getting any Monday Night War figures it was a recipe for disaster

My message got ignored or missed in Q&A thread.
I get it. It was longer than most questions and probably not a easy one to answer. Also not his department.
But…. I just hope there trying to sort distribution out. Because they might think it’s great that there getting paid for all these exclusives but if collectors start to get frustrated with not being able to easily get the products and international customers get left out and stop collecting. Then there long term scope and success will decline if they don’t get this looked at.
I’m sure international are still important and profitable.

Mattel has the worst international distribution. They've always been spotty AF in putting any action figure product out in Australia, let alone WWE. Compare it to Hasbro, which does not seem to have any problems with Marvel Legends and Star Wars Black Series here, it's night and day. I've gotten the occasional Elite/Basic in stores, but you have to luck upon it and it could be a random wave. Much like everywhere else, we'll get a glut of certain waves, have a 1 day window to chance upon other waves, and miss out on others completely. Then randomly get Greatest Hits 2 in an ok amount, but again, give it a month and they'll be gone everywhere. Funnily enough, eBay sellers seem to be able to source stock. Where from, who knows? If I want a figure, I'll maybe go up to $60 for it and just get it eBay. If it pops up on Amazon under $50 and I'm keen, then I jump. But even then, they seem to take forever to ship out (have both Rick and Rex Steiner, and Ultimate Andre ordered on Amazon, showing in stock, but good luck seeing them move for a few weeks!). Otherwise, if I find it in store, I'll pick it up. If not, oh well. Mattel don't want my money. Plenty else out there. Now... getting AEW figures... that's even trickier! Occasionally I'll do a Ringside order, but they don't seem to be carrying as much that I'd bite on (and it'd have to be a Black Friday sale) and their shipping has skyrocketed again. I think they're wary after last year's sales, they must have taken a hit an a massive amount.

Smyths not getting Rick Steiner from E24 and Greg Valentine from the next Legends set...SIGH. I know... it's an absolute joke. How on earth can they pass on a FTITL Steiner!? They didn't get Brother Love (the only one I wanted) from Legends 19 either. Nor Mr America from E101(!)... SMH 🤦♂️

Or is it actually Mattel? My friend in Smyths works in logistics so he doesn't really have any insight here but Christ its annoying.

Hell, I’m a US collector who would like to see something on the shelves for once besides Roman Reigns elites and a few old basics.
