Vintagefigs1 do you see this line ever getting to the point of figures being ready to ship or a shorter preorder window? Or will it stay the same made to order process to always gauge how much interest there is in a character? It would seem from an outsider perspective the line is a hit and growing. Any insight on how it’s performing better or worse than expected for certain characters and how that changes things for future lineups or signings? Pre-order is safer for now. We intended the Bulldogs to be in stock for December but we had to make changes to the first prototypes and it delayed the process. Hopefully once Demolition hit, figs will be in hand every few months. Any chance of a Daveyboy and Dynamite in their singles attire at some point down the road?

I slept on Demolition. Regretting that now Passed on Jannetty & Sarge. Wasn’t worth $50 each to me personally Will be getting both Andres, Macho & The Bulldogs though

It says that these are still a work in progress. Kanik - is the sample shown the actual size of the planned figure or is it going to be slightly smaller? The scaling looks slightly off (specifically the head) when shown side by side. http://instagram.com/p/CyzD5nKvgnh

Dynamite Kid's attire as a singles guy wasn't far off from his attire as a Bulldog.

I'm thinking more along the lines of what he wore in England, Canada and Japan. Either in red with white stars or blue with the white stripes, maybe with a different pose. I don't often think of Bulldogs era Dynamite when I picture him, but that's just me.

There's enough there, imo, that you could do to separate him from the tag team look, but admittedly it's probably not a massive want for most people.

So was the original LJN Macho Man head undersized? Based on the photo provided, LJN Randy Savage’s head could fit inside the Big Rubber Guy Randy Savage’s head with room to spare.

I literally just preordered a black strap Andre & Savage.
I'd love to see a Butch Reed, short haired Hercules, Badnews Brown, Missing Link and Masked Superstar (he was still in the WWF in '84 the year LJNs started coming out) as well as Powers of Pain.

It’s bigger, but I’d say that’s an exaggeration. The LJNs weren’t exactly consistent either, with Jake looking more like a cruiserweight and Nikolai being slimmer than I recall him ever actually being. Big Rubber Guys, like LJNs, at least to me, are somewhat animated versions of the wrestlers. To each their own, but to me these look great!

It's defo bigger that's for sure, but I think broski is right, it's more inscale to the rest of the body for sure.

The head definitely sticks out in a negative way to me which is the only reason I brought it up. It isn’t a dealbreaker. Things kind of shifted from listening to constructive criticism (like Demolition’s face paint) to “No, we are going to do it the way we want to.” Not that anyone should expect to get their way all of the time but it’s a disappointing development when you have the best of intentions and are met with indifference at best and dismissiveness at worst. It’s disheartening.

I don't buy that the scaling is right to fit well with the LJNs but there's also the fact that they're way more detailed and cleaner than the originals so won't display well with them in the regard either.
As a customer I'm absolutely fine with that because I don't own LJN and don't plan to so I'm treating this as a brand new collection anyway.
I noticed the size difference with Ax as well. I wasn't sure if that was gonna be corrected or not by time of release. It can't all be down to a slight bend in the leg cos it seems out of scale with most of the body especially noticeable with Macho Man.
Again, I'm buying and collecting. Great line, great quality. Really happy with the look myself but don't think they'll fit well with the originals and MAY put off some OG collectors of the LJN line

My LJNs are propped up (because they cant consistently stand on their own) in various spots around my work/toy room. These figs are going behind the glass cabinet on their own (gonna need to get rid of some Star Wars stuff to make room). They're just too pretty to mingle with the LJNs lol.
So yeah, I'd agree that these might be way too good to seamlessly fit in with an LJN collection but I'm more than okay with that. There's no way I'd be buying another Savage, Andre, Bulldogs if they looked exactly like the old figures. Anyway, I see these more as well done homages. These are basically what my LJN figures looked like to me as a kid lol.

I’ll be displaying these with my LJNS, obviously these ones are more detailed, but they are close enough for me.

I think a lot of these retro lines, like GI Joe and MOTU, do similar things- similar form factors, but still more detailed/ modernized. Zombie is definitely doing that for WWE retros. Maybe these are to LJN what Zombies are to WWF Hasbro’s?

I appreciate them now. Recently watched the 1988 Survivor Series, and they were in the 10 vs 10 tag elimination match, so they’re definitely fair game for the era. Arn Anderson’s spine buster is so smooth and still holds up very well! Not my top picks, but I’d be up for them!
