I'd be down for an Ultimate Ted DiBiase. With a cloth goods suit, some money holding hands, and (possibly) a basketball (if this was used during the LJN era). Works for me! Would definitely need some updated head sculpts too. Black and purple suit please! Although i wouldn't be surprised one bit if they did green again lol |

The CC strap is black to match the LJN. As far as I know the Big Green is only available in the TNFT set. $80 for the Big Green Belt with 4 figures!? I've done some crazy things in my lifetime, like $50 for the TRU Mr. McMahon, but I have to draw the line somewhere. So the black strap was never used by Hogan or anyone else on TV, right?? It was solely because of the LJN version, correct?? |

Right era, but not all of these had LJNs, which has been a requirement for this line… for now, at least. I would be absolutely fine with them expanding it, especially if they increase number of sets per year. Yeah I just learned about that in an other thread. Really surprised they are constraining the line like that but money talks and as long as they sell things can always change. If anything they could slightly change the packaging and continue the line like that and name it something else. As long as the cards stay the same size. I think they are testing demand a bit by releasing them slowly. We are all gung-ho for these but if they are BOGO on ringside then I think they are moving slower than they would like. It may be best for the line if they release them in single packs so the price drops as a 70 dollar+ price point probably turns off a lot of buyers initially. I think they should be 29.99 at most in reality. Just to expand on the idea of expanding the set. If we look closely at what they have done with the motu origins line, the gijoe 25th anniversary line, the star wars retro line, the tmnt classics line, . They ended up adding lots of new characters who were never produced in the original line. Heck even the retro line has done that(tugboat was never in the line before (as I understand), so I see no reason they can't expand ot unless I am missing something in that they are not allowed to? As of right now, I believe it was said that they are sticking to wrestlers who had an LJN figure. However, I believe that Steve did say that they could be open to including figures of wrestlers who could have had a figure in the original LJN line but didn't get one. I think he said that about guys like the Bushwackers, Brother Love, Barbarian, Smash, etc. |

Although i wouldn't be surprised one bit if they did green again lol I would imagine it would be the black and purple tux since that was the LJN figure attire, but they haven't necessarily been sticking to exact attires of the LJN figures. |

Junkyard Dog was just officially announced for PowerTown wave 2. I gotta think this crosses him off the list as available for Mattel WWE figures for now. It’s a shame, he would have been great for this line. Really, with the amount of Legends being picked up by other independent companies, can we please speed up this line while people are still available? I know there are some, like Andre, who seem to have availability across companies, but what about people like Sheik, Studd, or even Warrior? Keep ‘em coming!

It’s a shame, he would have been great for this line. Really, with the amount of Legends being picked up by other independent companies, can we please speed up this line while people are still available? I know there are some, like Andre, who seem to have availability across companies, but what about people like Sheik, Studd, or even Warrior? Keep ‘em coming! Exclusive signing deals suck. They are forced on wrestlers who may not even realize they are sought after by other companies. Mattel needs to contact him and others and remind them that they are interested. I hope someone didnt drop the ball on this one. There is a chance it wasnt an exclusive deal though right? |

I picked up the Hogan/Funk set the other day and got another Jake/Rick set free from the BOGO deal. Excellent deal! But I can’t help but worry when I see this collection 1) sitting on the site for so long and 2) selling at such a deal. I’ll take Steve’s word that more sets (plural!) are still coming after Hart Foundation. Wouldn’t surprise me if they produce less of each future set though. Day 1 orders for sure! |
