Sorry, but if someone showed me this: without the added context and asked me to guess who it was, I don't think I'm going right to Brian Pillman. I don't think I'm even going pro-wrestler. It's a very nice Kurt Cobain sculpt, though.

Overall looks good. Something is off on the closed mouth head though. The ones with teeth-showing look slightly better. Truth be told will probably end up ordering anyway.

Tbf I have a mate who’s a wrestling fan but doesn’t collect figures. If I see something cool, odd etc I’ll share with him or like this I’ll send just a headshot and see if he can name who it is.
His response to this one “that’s gotta be pillman”. Imo that’s the barometer for a good headscultpt - can someone identify who it is just head no gear or accessories so this one passes the test for me.

It's a very nice Kurt Cobain sculpt, though. Literally you right now: That likeness is pretty close. You can argue his face isn’t as angry or that his hair isn’t as curly but Pillman and Kurt did look alike. Pillman would wear Nirvana/Cobain shirts all the time. It really isn’t a stretch. Some might say it looks too much like his son…and that isn’t the worst thing either!

FWIW, my group chat that talks figures settled on "Maybe Pillman?"

Looks great! I love figures that look like toy versions of someone, rather than being an ultra realistic looking face on a toy. That's what I think made all of the original wrestling figures of the 80's and 90's so special.

BTW it's his nose being too full/round and face shape not being round enough that have everyone saying the face is "off"

It's off, but also it definitely passes the sight test for me as being Pillman.

Read this and decided to send a picture of that headsculpt to my sister who likes wrestling too and she also responded Brian Pillman. So it checks the right marks.

I think it looks pretty good. Without being super nit picky, when I seen it I immediately thought it was a damn good representation of Brian Pillman so that does it for me.

Thinking this was probably the reference for the straight faced sculpt: There's still something that feels really off about it to me, but if people like it that's cool. Curious to see how his Jarrett looks. I won't be getting it, but interested, nonetheless. Winter 2023 feels really optimistic.

Pillman had a round face and this is a slender face but really if it passes the eye test to someone who doesn’t know who it is it’s good for me

Curious to see how his Jarrett looks. I won't be getting it, but interested, nonetheless. Winter 2023 feels really optimistic. Winter 23 is a very strange way to put it, since winters Dec, Jan and Feb. So winter 23 is just dec…just say dec or by end of year? Also realistically breaking it down the last 3 or 4 months of the year are very busy with the festive period so the 6 to 8 weeks ferry over is more likely 8-12 because let’s face it the big boys will get precedent. So to have them in his warehouse for Dec they need to be on the boat or ready for a boat by around end of sept / start of Oct. So that gives around 5 months to get everything done, production, packaged etc.
