In 2012, after two years of looking for love in places I really shouldn't have, I was encouraged to try eHarmony (though I went kicking and screaming all the way). But, they happened to have a Free Communication Weekend coming up, so I thought, why not. Before the end of the weekend, I completed all the guided communication with one young woman, and I gave her my actual email address at the end, encouraging her to keep in contact. She did. After one month of emails back and forth, I was strongly encouraged to ask her on a real date. I invited her to a Thai place I went to on special occasions, not divulging it was actually behind my building (quick exit in case we didn't click). We definitely did. I proposed in 2014. She gives me playful crap about doing so in a Miami parking garage, after we attended an episode of WWE Raw. The wedding happened in 2016. We waited, so that she would finish her Nurse Practitioner credential, in order to start marriage off with a new job position. It'll be seven years married at the end of May. She's been my willing wrestling show tag-along since 2013, which has included a WrestleMania. She just bought us tickets to AEW's Dynamite debut for Sunrise. When we had our mandatory church pre-marriage seminar, as everyone introduced themselves, I joked that I beat the system. I met my fiance on a dating site, during a free trial period. That last part made my day! If things didn't click and you were to leave, how would you excuse yourself? Your story really gives me hope with modern women. I started talking to one girl recently and she's been pushing me off because she's still semi-involved with this guy. I already know how things will end up, so I'm not getting too attached and keeping my options open.

Neither of us tried to escape through a bathroom window." If it didn't work out, I simply would've done what I actually did: See her drive off till she was out of sight, then drive my car literally to the next side street.

The part about wait for her to leave and then driving to the next street is hilarious. "Just to make sure she doesn't know where I live." I have yet to date a crazy woman, but I assume it must be fun and exciting.

When I admitted later how close it was, she thought my plan was smart.

When I admitted later how close it was, she thought my plan was smart. I think your plan was genius regardless. I went out with my date today and turns out she still lives with her ex and still has feelings for him (yet they sleep in separate rooms) What a train wreck. She spent the whole date trash talking him. I think I'll cut my losses and block this woman.

2016. I was traveling for work back then and I got placed on a project in Alabama. I was looking for an apartment and I walked in the front office and there she was. I fell in love instantly. There was definitely something there and I finally worked up the courage to ask her out and fast forward to now we will be married 5 years in April. Funny part about it is her family is from Michigan so she isn’t an Alabama fan. Go Vols 🟠🟠🟠 Me and my wife celebrated our 5 year anniversary this past April as well.

Coincidences like this topic being resurrected today of all days would make weaker people believe I had first seen her in the first class on the first day in our first year of high school. Which also by coincidence, today is when high school started up for the year in my city.
Lucky me that I'm not foolish enough to believe in things like that.

It definitely does. What day in April did you get married I April 21st! Sweet, we are the 6th. We got engaged the April before on the 8th and wanted to do the wedding on the 8th but that was a Sunday and just hard to make workout for everyone plus Sunday was a lot more expensive so we went with the 6th. But it was the best day of my life

I was a little nervous the first time she came over as I figured she see my toys and think I was a loser but she asked about them and who was my favorite and all that. She thinks it’s cool I have a hobby I’m very passionate about. She will look in the toy section when she goes out and I’m not with her and she always wants to see what I got when packages arrive. What about yours?

I’m glad there’s women out there who are cool about it. When I first started actually collecting as an adult at 20, I was dating a woman who was 29 and she hated that I did it and would make me put them up when she was over. She would get mad about it and say “you shouldn’t be buying toys you’re a man” Needless to say we weren’t gonna work out and I knew it

There are a lot of good women out there, just hard to find at times. We’re both blessed to have good ones. Telling a man he shouldn’t buy toys because he’s a man is like telling a man he shouldn’t cry because he’s a man. Both are just very stupid.

It always kinda rubbed me the wrong way like she wanted me to be someone other than who I am/was. I like wrestling and I collect toys and I do it for me. I wonder how she would react if she knew I now had over 700 toys lol

If they’re trying to change you and your interests the writing is on the wall in my opinion. I’m glad you dodged that bullet haha. I mean.. we could have worse hobby’s like crack and prostitutes.. At least is just wrestling 😂

All I did was watch wrestling tapes and play with figures and I was on top of the world. I’ve got everything I dreamed of as a kid and then some so I’m happy. I’ve got no one to impress so as long as my wife and I are happy and healthy then all is well
