She Hulk ep 9. Probably think they were being clever? But christ it just underscored how pointless the entire season was aside from the DD episode. So disappointed.
Genuine question, because I see this topic being debated a lot online. Would you have actually just preferred the big CGI battle they were gonna do in the finale?

The problem I have with the entire season is more so that it built to absolutely nothing. It felt exactly like it was shown in the finale that the writers room was a constant sh*tshow with direction changing every other episode. When you get to episode 9 do you feel like you spent time on anything of value? Did anything monumentous happen that added anything of value to the MCU going forward? Or hell even if it wasn't meant to continue MCU stories, was there anything enjoyable about the show being a one-off? (and yes that includes the twerking scene with Megan Thee Stallion) Past episode 2 or 3 nothing felt consistent, no characters felt important, even Daredevils appearance felt like a cheap ploy that could have been used in any other series in the same manner and wouldnt have made any difference. So the idea of having some massive CGI brawl at the end made no sense either because why is Bruce back all the sudden? Why does it feel like Abominations character keeps flip flopping? I think it all sucked and im content to just leave it at - it was an Abomination (see what I did there?) for Marvel/Disney +/MCU continuation.

This could have been the MCU version of Harvey Birdman Attorney of Law. But it was such a mess. I will give them credit, the Daredevil episode was good. But everything else was just awful. The finale was the most self indulgent, cringiest crap I've seen since Supernatural's French Mistake episode.
Outside of Werewolf By Night and Loki, Phase 4 has been REALLY bad..

Kind of irrelevant to me because a CGI battle wouldn't have saved the show for me at all. The show was squandered completely aside from the DD ep. Could have been a legit tool to build up the Leader & his plans.

Phase 4 for me
Black Widow✅️ Shang Chi ✅️ Wandavision ✅️ Falcon & WS ✅️ Loki ✅️ but not as great as some think Dr Strange 2 ✅️ Hawkeye ✅️ Spidey ✅️
Moon Knight 50/50...could have been way better. Ms Marvel...meh
Eternals ❌️ She Hulk ❌️ Thor 4 ❌️

I feel like the writers/showrunner didn't really know what they wanted the show to be. Like a superhero show? A legal comedy? I think with a clearer focus and possibly longer episodes to help flesh things out, it could have done better.
I saw a lot of people saying they would have just preferred the big CGI battle at the end, but I feel like that misses the point entirely on what was wrong to get there to begin with.

For me, I feel like with a lot of 4th wall breaking properties, it can almost feel like they slap you in the face for caring about the stories they write. Like I get when they do the "that's bad writing" jokes. They think it excuses all the bad writing they've done. But I feel like it can also sorta make fun of the people who genuinely cared. Like the people who did want to see a proper conclusion and scene with Todd. See Itelligencia get their comeuppance. Like I read all the Ambush Bug comics and I found them funny. But at a point I was like "Man, I kinda wish they did actually follow through on this one story."

I'm really disappointed because I really like the She Hulk character & always have.

I wasn’t a big fan of She Hulk. I wanted to like it and really tried but it just wasn’t for me. My passion for the MCU is nowhere near what it used to be.

That being said I loved werewolf by night

I liked that it wasn't really 'building' to anything big or 'important'. I liked the idea that She Hulk could just be a fluffy, fairly inconsequential show about a super-human lawyer in the MCU. With each episode revolving around a self-contained case/legal issue that would inevitably spring up in this world. Wong has troubles with a magician. A former villain has a parole hearing. The Daredevil episode. That excited me. And the show mostly did that. Far from perfectly, granted, but Jen refusing to become a massively important superhero is exactly what I wanted for her. She just wants to be a lawyer. Super-heroics are for narcissists. I'd have chopped out the side-characters (drop male lawyer and angry female lawyer, keep paralegal), trimmed Abomination down to two episodes, and tried to fit in more legal 'What Ifs'. What happens to someone's possessions when they get frozen in ice for decades? Any parking disputes result from the blip? How's Justin Hammer doing? I wouldn't mind if Season 2 just becomes the Cameo show every episode. I think She Hulk is the character to do that with.

I do wish it was more of a legal comedy. Like an episode to episode case to case. But the writers said they couldn't make it that because none of them knew how to write a courtroom scene or how to write legal battles.

Love Harrison Ford but guy is in his mid 70s so I wouldn’t have too many long term plans for him as the character, respectfully.

She was amazing in Orphan Black and was good in this imo but the show was just plain bad imo. I just didn't care by the end and besides Ms.Marvel and What If?,this was the only D+ show I came out feeling this way about. I went in with low expectations for the other two but SheHulk was right up there with Loki for what I was most excited for but like others I did also enjoyed Werewolf by Night and I wasn't expecting to like it,so that was a nice surprise at least.

I didn’t know much about the actress or character before this. I found most of it fine, and I guess that’s the biggest difference for me right now between phases 1-3 and 4. We’ve just had so much content lately with little downtime between and we’re awaiting a payoff which I’m sure will come to fruition at some point. Majors as Kang im really looking forward to, and the trailers for wakanda forever and secret invasion are keeping me holding on

Oh Jen, our mighty slaggy hero. Thought the last couple episodes were in keeping with the rest of the show, hyper-nonsensical and visually/audibly brain gnawing. I like others enjoy the actress, I think she does a great job playing this character which is no mean feat, they lack quality actresses who feel every inch their part, but I’m like so when they all go to space and get on a massive quinjet or whatever and there’s all these new men around is She-Hulk just going to go round smashing them all? That’s like the main indelible quality the character has that I took from the show….. she shags a lot. Bottoms up I guess.
Seriously felt like nobody checked this show before putting it out because there’s so many things you would just tweak, like the son of hulk - what the hell was that? - to smooth things and make it work. Crazy.
