Damn, Sting ruined his legacy by not appeasing theman. A dark day for the industry. No way was he signing to wwe right now, with his son now training under the aew umbrella, maybe 5-10 yrs from now

While I don't know if anything can ever top the Cody Rhodes "I got kicked in the head by a horsey" gimmick account that lasted like a month (and if anyone here can ever prove it was them they'd be my wfigs hero), but theman sure comes in as second by a mile and a half, even past weird royal rumble rules guy, who made the rumble way more fun than it already is 😂

OK - I will admit from the start that I am reading this and viewing it through a hopeful lens. I looked around and multiple sites are quoting the same quotes from Sting, which is this:
“I signed a multi-year deal with AEW, obviously not to wrestle anymore, but it’s like a licensing deal, a legends deal if you want to call it that. So I’ll do appearances with them on and off, depending on what they want and all. I’ve done real estate, I did real estate before I ever was a pro wrestler, so I’ve always loved real estate. A lot of people say, ‘Oh, are you a real estate agent?’ No, I’m not an agent. I’m an investor. I was flipping houses before flipping houses was a term. So I made money in real estate before wrestling, so I’m doing that again, and I love it.”
So far, we do NOT know if it is exclusive or not. I am REALLY hopeful that he has the same type of contract that RVD, Billy Gunn, and Jake Roberts has. If he is rumored to be such a smart businessman, then he would be smart enough to have merch from both companies. AEW would almost hope that he has a merch deal with WWE too, as then when he does appearances for them in the future, there is a bigger known audience because people see his stuff on the shelves from both companies.
To be clear, I doubt it is non-exclusive - but one can hope.

To be clear, I doubt it is non-exclusive - but one can hope. RVD said that WWE have exclusive rights to his likeness in merchandise but that he can wrestle wherever and whenever he wants. So unless he doesn’t properly understand his contracts he’s in a different scenario than Billy Gunn or Jake

I pray that Ron Simmons is a repaint in the purple he was wearing when he won the title from Vader.

You're just salty that you were once again exposed as a fraud lol My buddy never said he was "confirmed" to sign and even if he did my buddy hasn't always been 100 percent correct, I've never claimed he was but this is such a kick in the gut. No Ultimate Stings. Ever. WOW, just WOW. Maybe if WWE had treated him a little bit better while he was there, we'd still have him licensed. If I were Sting I would never do business with WWE ever again. I think Sting cares much more about his "Legacy" than WWE ever did. Sting brought his Legacy to WWE and WWE crapped all over it. WWE could have kept Sting in the fold but they didn't even try. Not even a little bit. They brought him in, milked him for losses to HHH and Seth Rollins, and sent him on his way. Would YOU stay?

Sting has always been about the money. He would have went to WWE instead of TNA if that were true.

Not sure what Hogan figs are left that are needing a re-release. HOF? E91? If so, hopefully not with that type of shirt. American Made also could use a re-release but that’ll likely be a RSC Vault and also would need an updated shirt.

Nice to see Big Dave re-released again. Hopefully it's elite 72 as that was so difficult to get hold of. That still goes for decent money on the secondary market too.

Added the leaked GH lineup to the first page. I REALLY hope that Ron Simmons comes with the title again.

Bluetista is great 😄 perhaps it was a little bit odd to re-release it, but I was happy enough. The original was my first ever Elite iirc, so nostalgia played a big part in my excitement. I'm happy for any and all Dave releases, in fairness.

WWE absolutely f*cked Sting over and it was about as bad or worse than anyone, including Sting, feared. Overall, WWE could probably fatten his pockets more than AEW but he's sticking with someone who has been loyal and treated him very well. I don't blame Sting one bit but as a collector I selfishly would prefer him under the WWE umbrella. But that's irrelevant really

But that's irrelevant really Yeah, while it's clear this version of WWE is operating very differently to the WWE of a few years ago, particularly with it's attitude towards legends and stars from elsewhere, I just don't see how anyone can blame Sting for this. He's obviously in a place where he feels respected and valued, so more power to him. Selfishly, I'd like more Sting stuff under a WWE/Mattel banner, but good for him. Maybe if he hadn't been treated so poorly by the previous WWE regime then things might be different.

My guesses for the elite greatest hits are Batista elite series 2 or hall of champions Hogan hall of fame or legends 18 Simmons hall of champions with hopefully purple chase Mysterio elite 67 or WrestleMania 26 Undertaker elite 18 or WrestleMania 26 Rollins elite 45
