It is, look the box  I haven’t seen that pic. But why are these 2 together and not the Mega Powers? Stupid decision. I collect everything possible as long as it’s pre ruthless aggression era, and this isn’t even appealing to me. I guess I get it if they’re trying to do LJN throwbacks or something, but if you’re throwing all these Hogans/machos around, give the ppl the ones they want the most. They faced each other twice on SNME. I'm sure the Mega Powers will be done eventually. |

Idk why they picked funk in that attire as an ultimate. The legends 2 rotted hard Perspiring William probably gets to do one figure a year of his own choosing. That was the theory to explain all those Wrestlecrap figures a few years back. |

The extra head scans are some of the best mattel has ever done imo. the Card and Box will sell this. Plus it is only available through Mattel creations so it will not clog up any shelves! |

I know I'm probably in the minority but I would of preferred the Chainsaw Charlie figure to be Funk's ultimate with him coming out of a crate. Maybe a 2 pack with Cactus Jack

Whatever you call the funky hulking Hulk/Funk set, that’s what it is: A set of two individually carded figures in a box. |

Y’all be sayin anything on here Not only that, but you need guys like Rey, Reigns, Cena etc. Bill has stated that they keep the line afloat and help get more obscure guys that people want. Also, RA Rey has been highly requested here for some time, so now people are getting what they want. Rey always has some sick attires compared to someone like Hogan who’s red and yellow attires are practically the same. Yet, he’s had a ton of figures that are nearly identical which don’t necessarily bother me, but just not the Hogans I want. |

Some nice reveals so far, IMO. Not a lot I'm planning to get, but still some nice looking figures.
The Hulk & Funk two-pack is a nice surprise. I definitely want to get that set.
Ken Shamrock in blue is a figure I've been wanting for a while too.
I'm glad others like them, but personally the BAF's don't do much for me. Neither do the figures in the SS and RR sets.
The new updated Brocks look good. I'll probably hold out for the UE version over the E96 figure. Piper Niven and Dragunov both look great! Glad I preordered them both.
I do like the all-pink Bret. I didn't think I needed another Bret, but this one is tempting.
I'm looking forward to the panel. Hopefully there will be some renders for some more FTITL figures.

That said, as a longtime collector, I think it's fair to say that there are some serious examples of repeat releases here - the entire Greatest Hits line, the WM7 Ultimate Warrior, the '92 Shawn Michaels, Vader. Sure there are some minor modifications and upgrades but it's pretty much the exact same figure. I hope to be shocked the next few days, but right now I'm feeling that the glory days of "First Time In The Line" and fresh talents are over, and we're in this strange new era where Mattel is basically having to brainstorm ways to release variations of a very limited pool of talent over and over and over. I mean - Mean Mark Callous, WCW AJ Styles, Dingo Warrior, War Bonnet Hogan....while on the other hand these deep cuts are kinda obscure and cool, it also feels like Mattel is running out of options and scraping the barrel here. Some of y'all may be excited about a collection featuring Terra Ryzing and Flex Kavana, but not me. NAIL ON THE HEAD... it obvious this community will buy unlimited re-releases of the same character over and over. lol. smh. |
