First update in a long time was posted recently: http://instagram.com/p/Ct0EQKDOhJY I’m not sure what all the delays are about. I wonder if requested changes caused them to be pushed back, if someone promised the wrong timetable, or what. When it comes to providing any update to listeners, it feels like the Major Pod guys and Super7 were both radio silent (pun somewhat intended). They have railed others in the past for similar behavior which is a bit unfair. I’m kind of wondering if these figures will get quietly scrapped while the Power Town figures take center stage?

Super 7 were ‘the alternative’ for a long time to the big boys mass marketed, to the high end hot toys etc and the cult favourites (Neca etc)
Unfortunately they imo took on too much snd got in over their heads with the volume of different figures snd lines, quality went down (some of which I think it’s fair to say because of covid they were not doing factory visits like before) but the quality hasn’t particularly gone back up imo
They’re below neca, storm and now seemingly power town as well imo quality wise but the price doesn’t reflect that

It’s really the eyes that bother me on these figures, they’re too small in comparison with the rest of the face sculpt

Do you listen to our podcast? We’ve expressed our frustration with how long the process has been…especially in last week’s episode. Which may or may not be why there are updates all of a sudden.

I do which is why I mentioned it. Up until juuust this past week, there might be a few seconds dedicated to say there was no update. So enlighten all of us what the differences are between this situation and the Epic Toys situation.

It’s not OK what’s going on with them. But they have been putting out other figures because they are a real toy company. Epic toys is a disaster. Bit off wayyy more than they can chew. Made promises they couldn’t keep. I spoke to them in October of last year. I put my reputation on the line as things weren’t moving with the Impact figs planned. We were promised prototypes would be done by December. It’s now almost July. The prototypes were just finished and they don’t look good. That’s just one example.

It is hard when you only hear bits and pieces from one side or another and it leads to a lot of unnecessary speculation. You are not on trial but let’s work together to remove the doubt: What were the reasons you put your reputation on the line for a company you didn’t know very well? Did Impact or others involved request changes that delayed the process? Credit where credit is due: you have done an amazing job with delivering on your promises with almost everything related to MWFP merxh and promotions. Something I don’t see from a lot of figure companies on social media (like Jeremy Padawer, Steve Ozer, or the RSC team) is them publicly saying a company sucks and that they are jokes. What does that get you or anyone for that matter? You have grown steadily and successfully year after year so why not hold yourself to that higher standard? Be completely honest because this is the biggest question worth answering: Let’s say you are correct at every turn about what you have said involving Epic Toys. What do you want them to do starting right now? Should they close up shop, pay all debts, cancel all orders, and attempt to sell any part of the company they can in an effort to recoup their money? Or do you think that a plan could be devised that would be beneficial to nearly everyone?

Super7 is a real company with hundreds of different skus who make everything from Ninja Turtles to Simpsons figures. Epic Toys hasn't gotten us one Sabu figure we pre ordered a year ago. I didn't order these, thought the price point was laughable, but this is how long Super7 takes to do everything. I waited two years for my Tygra, but I also think their Thundercats are one of the best toy lines ever made. There is absolutely no uncertainty that Super7 will eventually ship these figures. We don't know if Epic Toys is even going to be around 6 months from now, as they seemingly continue to discover more of Chella's unpaid bills every 30 minutes or so.

Especially items that the fans have spent their hard earned money on.

I've never posted something like this, but I really hope the moderators delete the last comment from ChairShots. VintageFigs1 came on here - despite the tough environment - and engaged and answered every question. Maybe not to Chairshots liking -- but the response back was rude, juvenile, and nasty. And before I get accused of it, I've never been a member of the MWFP Patreon or given one cent to anyone involved with it.

That is a strange take but at least allow me to explain: He half-responded to one question (deliberately skipping and ignoring all others). I presented it as an opportunity to clear the air and he chose not to and instead wanted to use it to get another dig in. His response was to not take the questions seriously nor was it good enough to be effective (aka credible). He has every opportunity to help the situation instead of hurt it which is what I have been trying to do all along.

Ofcourse Epic Toys won't do that, they have every right to sign wrestlers and design new figures. And yes production and shipping will take a while! Don't like it, don't pre order: pretty simple. Epic Toys is a small company, Super7 not (that small). Even Cardona should understand that...

Edit: I’ll answer and respond to everything once I can do so with fewer interruptions. The response I posted a little bit ago was more disjointed than what I would have preferred.

I won’t give a dime to that company ever again - no matter what they “reveal” in fictional sketches that may or may not be released. No one knows, not even those involved in the “company” I don’t believe.

This seems to be a pile on of people not actually doing their research and assuming what’s being said by others. The only new figures I can see are previously announced ones?

These were all announced and shown by previous owners, more importantly these are all people who signed contracts with them long long time ago that deserve their figures. As long as Series 2 is coming along, which they have said so and updated images of, then I see no issue with working on what comes next also.
