Idk that we all been duped, I don't understand what lie, most of us figured this is what was happening. Mattel gets rid of product makes money so be it. You could do this too if you get all the correct licenses whatever you need to buy from mattel.

Idk that we all been duped, I don't understand what lie, most of us figured this is what was happening. Mattel gets rid of product makes money so be it. You could do this too if you get all the correct licenses whatever you need to buy from mattel. Sure but up until now we didnt know if walmart was donating cases or getting rid of overstock. The case assortments for walmart include other figures. Now we know since at least s6 that superstars were actually being distributed FROM MATTEL to multiple vendors. Seeing cases of mr.perfect stings knowing he is one of the hardest figures to get. Furthermore instead of making them available from creations to help collectors catch up at regular price they are CURRENTLY selling them off to 3rd parties costing us double. Mattel had a chance to help us out instead they are actively prioritizing their resellers as their best clients. So now if they ever get on creations you can bet we will be paying those prices as well. And all the while we were told they were exclusives only to walmart (in the usa). So yes mattel lied. And yes we were duped. And they sure let us know how little they care about us and the mnw crowd who also were told that line was only sold at walmart when they were instead selling them to 3rd parties for more money. And since i am about to be 4 series behind like many of us i am calling these sultan exclusives from here on out.especially for s6 and s9. (The same way s2 and s3 from the mnw line is exclusive to him) I was at wrestlemania/wrestlecon in philadelphia this year. The figures shown in the display case said they were "exclusive to walmart in the us and smyths in the uk. It is deception whether or not walmart is giving mattel the shaft.they are no longer exclusive to anyone. End of story.

Here is what MAY be happening and I could be wrong. I have to research some more. It looks like only certain superstar figures are “exclusive” to Walmart. Other figures are not. Sure they have a few “exclusives” on their 3rd party sites but not many at all.
Ultimate warrior Andre the Giant Hulk hogan red and yellow /blue chase Undertaker
Those are exclusives to Walmart even say it in the title . While other ones don’t say exclusive. 3rd party sellers are saying it in the title too now which really clutters it up. Can’t even find some of these figures anymore on Walmart they are just that old. Walmart is so cluttered up with 3rd party sellers.

Here you go, you guys wanna know how the resellers are getting this stuff? They're buying it wholesale. I browsed Mattel's corporate website a bit. Just set up your own business license and apply to buy stuff direct, I'm sure there are large minimum buying requirements, and I'll also bet that they're selling off whatever product Walmart doesn't decide to buy (including their own exclusives) to wholesalers. Think about it, Mattel has to decide production numbers probably 1 year in advance. I'm sure Walmart is fickle & playing with numbers & no doubt buys less than Mattel expected. What's Mattel supposed to do with the stuff Walmart decides it doesn't want? They sell it off through the wholesalers:

I suppose that's how Starworld toys and big bad had late run MOTU classics in stock for years and years.

I was able to get all of Series 10 in one go tonight in Virginia, I couldn’t believe how easy it was. I’ve had to piecemeal out this line here and there when I could find them for so long prior to this except for the first wave. Was there a chase for this series? I don’t remember ever seeing one.

I Believe your talking about that one. I think that was just used for a promo shot. I don't know anyone who found one like that, If anyone has I'd like to know. That black suit comes in the packed equpiment white wrap correct? Mine are all sealed!

Surely there’s some out there somewhere with the black outfit MOC.

This is what I suspect is happening as well- Walmart is not placing a full order of each wave, while Mattel has a set amount they have to produce (minimum production order from the factory) and end up being stuck with the excess that Walmart isn't taking. If this is true then IMO Walmart should lose the exclusive- either they are fully committed to this line or they are not. If they only want to purchase a small amount then why should they get the exclusive as well?!
They should offer it to other retailers (Target, Amazon) or just sell it themselves via Mattel Creations. Unfortunately, they likely can't sell to other retailers because Walmart has the exclusive and they don't want to sell off the excess stock on Creations because selling it to resellers is more lucrative for them. At the end of the day everyone comes out on top here except us collectors who have to either fight over the scraps that show up at Walmart stores or pay scalper prices just to get these figures. This explains why Mattel is not doing anything to improve the availability of this line, there is no incentive for them to do so. They get money from Walmart on one hand and money from the resellers on the other- this is the perfect scenario for them, why would they do anything to change it?!
This line is no longer worth collecting, the effort needed to find these figures makes it more of a hassle then a fun endeavour- I am done trying to hunt these down. I am starting to regret collecting this line, not sure whether to keep what I have and call it a day or sell off the ones I have?!

Day 3,169 - Still no signs of Andre in the wild.
Superstars stock at the only Walmart within 40 miles still consists of Bray Wyatt, Papa Shango, and Million Dollar Man. Desperation is setting in. Considering buying them all, waiting a month, and then setting them free at another Walmart (by returning them).

I don't think they ship based on any active inventory or sales tally. We've seen stores with loads of Superstars - - - and they get MORE Superstars. We've seen stores with no Superstars just sit empty for months and months. I've seen 3 stores get identical pallets. They aren't using a system, and no one in the store is actively ordering anything. Buying out their stock will not trigger some order to auto-ship. They just randomly ship stuff out, and it sucks.

It's true, HAVE NOT SEEN a Doink, and Andre or a Hogan red or blue tights in any of the 3 stores around me. closest store has about 4 or 5 rocks, now yesterday they had a tatanka first time i seen it there. They also had boss man twice now. second store consist of earthquake typhoon rock and million dollar man. they had rick rude and macho man someone bought them tho. 3rd store furthest from me is stuck on roddy piper, they have about 6 to 8 of them. They had a vader but it finally sold in the last month after sitting there for over a year. I have seen red pant hogan further south i think it was either a york or lancaster store. Ive seen kane once in berks county. distribution is horrible on these in my area and on wwe in general. I have noticed WM site is alot of 3rd party sellers now which sucks for them.

Only one store in my area ever gets anything news, and at the moment they are flooded with Kanes, have several S8 Hogans, and one DiBiase. All the rest of them have a Wyatt/Shango/DiBiase mix in various quantities. Still have never seen Perfect, Bigelow, Mr. T, or Typhoon in-person.

Overall I'm going to be unpopular here & say that the distribution on this Superstars line is very strange and questionable..... but not nearly as bad as Monday Night Wars. I've been seeing the Kane/Ali/Bulldog set at almost EVERY Walmart I've been to.....
And I haven't bought a single one of these things from the secondary market, and I have managed to find all the ones I wanted. Over time... And somehow these things are getting into Walmart stores WITHOUT the aid of a Shipper.
Even got some blue-Chase Hogans from my Walmart Pre-Order. I hate to tell you, but Doink & Andre were shelf-warming at my local Walmart for a while..... Andre for about three weeks, and Doink for about two months. I saw Lou Albano & Vader shelf-warm for a few weeks too. I've seen Kurt Angle from the current set about 5 times and a few days ago I saw Tatanka. I have not seen Big Boss Man (which, ironically, is the one I'd be looking for).
Just reading all the complaints on this thread, sounds like there is a variety out there to pick from currently on shelves, if you hit enough Walmarts (I've heard Rick Rude, Typhoon, Rock, Macho Man, Mr T, Dibiase, Shango, and others).... and if you want a $4 Ric Flair, hit your local Ollie's and there's a good chance you'll find it there.
Also, I've seen Walmart actually RESTOCK these after they run out.... which is a far cry from what they're doing with Monday Night Wars. I can't really say ANYTHING positive about the current distribution of Monday Night Wars.
Monday Night Wars? You just don't see any out there. I wish they were being distributed half as good as the Superstars line.
Just my two cents.

I wish they were being distributed half as good as the Superstars line. Just my two cents. True, did a roadtrip yesterday and last week and found 0 monday night wars. Absolutely awful distribution of those figures. Worst part is mattel has not given collectors a remedy for them. They knew this was going to happen ahead of time but only decided to react (promise that 2025 will bring change) after every single person started complaining. The superstars problem is different. Some stores only get certain series (s3 + s8 especially). Other stores only got assortments up until s4, other stores only receive every other series, some skipped 2 series (6 + 7) then received s8 then skipped s9 and...etc, then there are some that never got past s3 (mostly mini walmarts), and lastly stores in tx and ca that get the mahority of these figures. There is no remedy to fix this now. Prices are leveling off at 40 on the aftermarket so most people are just waiting it out. Problem is at some point you get so far behind that you give up. It is happening now and as much as mattel is taking a victory lap, they will feel the affects later. Ultimately people will blame mattel for this fiasco especially knowing walmarts trackrun on exclusives. We can only hope that the next wwe exclusives go to target. For us and the mnw crowd, we are doomed...

Did anyone catch this week’s episode of the MWF Pod and hear the baseless comment from Sterling. He said “One cool thing about this line is they’re not like insanely hard to find.” Loved that Broski corrected him immediately. I don’t know about anyone else, but Mark really brings the show down for me. Really wish he didn’t become a full time on-air character with them. He’s consistently proven wrong and has some of the worst takes I’ve ever heard. He’s also not even slightly knowledgeable in the toy business or knowledgeable with the history of wrestling figures so, other than his skills as a producer, I don’t know what he brings to the table.
Back to business, the distribution on Superstars is certainly better than MNW, but it’s still wonky. I get most sets at my Walmart, but not every set. Definitely missed entire waves in the middle.
