Jake the Snake Roberts He has green scales underneath the armor top. Doesn’t exactly fit in with the line either.
That figure also comes with a snake head not a human head. The 'human' face is a mask that fits on the snake head. It does not fit in with this line neither does the Stone Cold figure- we need Superstar versions of both of these guys. The only MOTWWEU figures that fit in with Superstars figures IMO are WM6 Ultimate Warrior, Andre the Giant, Macho Man (orange trunks) and JYD- you could also make the case for Sgt. Slaughter & Bret Hart. For me they are two separate lines, Superstars come with fabric accessories, extra hands and the head sculpts are much better IMO.
Jake Roberts, Bret Hart & Stone Cold are 3 big names that should have already been made, not sure why they haven't yet?! I hope we see these guys in upcoming waves as due to the terrible distribution this line suffers from and the fact Walmart will not relinquish their hold over it, I don't see this line continuing long term. If they could move it online, like they did with the Retro line then I think it would have a better shot at continuing long term.
They need to get the following in the line before it ends:
Golden Era- Dusty Rhodes, Greg Valentine, Haku, Iron Sheik, Jake Roberts, Paul Orndorff, Ricky Steamboat New Gen Era- Bret Hart, Lex Luger, Yokozuna
Attitude / MNW Era- Booker T, Eddie Guerrero, Stone Cold Steve Austin

The Jake “mask” over the snake head fits almost seamlessly. With a torso and arm swap it fits in well with Superstars. Not saying a proper release isn’t warranted tho. Maybe 1996 with soft goods top and Revelations using the snake mold from Coliseum Collection.

I was thinking about doin this to my jake the snake masters of the universe as well.

That actually looks pretty good, although I still don't like the face (the Superstars sculpts are better IMO). They need to release a Superstars figure with a proper Jake head, I hope if they do make one it will be an 80s Jake, that was when he was at his best and very popular.

A small victory. I finally found Andre The Giant today! However, my Walmarts still have the same figures though.

My 3 closest Walmart have not had anything since capt Lou albano, only 1 of the Walmarts. 2 of the 3 Walmarts pegs are hideous. 1 Walmart has million dollar man that’s it! The other Walmart the rock that’s it for, the 3rd Walmart has capt Lou, Vader and Piper but they have had them for months!

I don't collect this line, but have certain figures on my list.
Doink and Tatanka were both $40+ although that price sure beats scrambling to every Walmart just to find out they haven't restocked anything in months.

Bulldog was one of my favorites so have been on the fence of ordering one off the Bay for $40. But every time I do that I end up finding it in store the next week or so. Doing my best to try to stay patient. But definitely feel you on this. The constant hunting is getting exhausting and expensive.

I just feel for people who are 100% in on this line because these are some really fun figures. Buying the occasional one or two at mark-up pricing won't sink the ship, but I can't imagine the frustration of being a completist only to have to deal with the rampant distribution issues and then be at the mercy of aftermarket listings. Spending $40+ on an item with a $20 SRP isn't financially smart/sustainable if you're in it for the long haul. If this line fails, it will 100% be due to Walmart. I'll gladly eat the "convenience fee" upcharge for the couple I want than deal with the hopeless hunt at retail.

Maybe 1996 with soft goods top and Revelations using the snake mold from Coliseum Collection. That would be a great way for them to get Jake into the main line and utilize the soft goods that have been a staple. He absolutely deserves a new figure as the whole mask element just doesn't work for me, brother.

I think its more a question of when will it fail not if as Walmart exclusives don't tend to have a long life span due of course to their poor distribution of these lines. I am actually surprised that the Superstars line has made it this far, although I think that is due to the fact these figures are easy for Mattel to pump out as they use the same body parts. The only thing Mattel has to produce are the heads and fabric accessories. If the distribution of this line was as good as the Legends line at Target, I think we would be up to like series 15 by now as Mattel are able to pump out wave after wave quite quickly.

Another great point that makes it even more frustrating. If the distro was even semi-competent, there would be so many more figures already released in this line.

You make good points, but distro aside, in my opinion, hard to call it a failure overall as a line if there have been 11 series of it. A failure would have stopped far sooner.

Do we think we'll see renders of the next set after the Brutus/Razor/Rey set at the Comic Con? If so, who are you hoping to see?
I would love to see: Warlord (singles run, the same attire as his first elite and recent greatest hits figure) Dusty Rhodes (black and yellow polka dots) Dusty Rhodes chase (black and red polka dots) Bret Hitman Hart (all pink attire)

You could substitute 'ends' instead of 'fail' but the meaning behind TheEvilDoink1987's comment (and my reply) is still the same- if/when the line ends, Walmart will be to blame for the way they have handled things up to now.
I agree with your comment about the line not been a failure, the fact it has made it to series 11 indicates that it is successful which will suck if it ends prematurely due to Walmart's poor distribution. On the other hand, I am astonished that it has made it to series 11 with such poor distribution. I hope Walmart either makes changes to improve the distribution or cancels the line so that Mattel can find a new home for it.
