somehow Adam Cole went from being thee Guy in NXT. to being like the 6th most popular person in an AEW tag match on their B show Who gets THE loudest pop and audience interaction.

Jungle Boy and Isiah Kassidy kicking it off. It will be a TRAGEDY if Jungle Boy ever loses his hair.

Quick back and forth with Jungle Boy getting a tap out win with his modified cross face. They (of course) had to include the outside stuff with Christian, Luchasaurus and Marq Quen, Matt Hardy. UGH.

Hook in action against Bear Bronson.
All of team Taz at the announce desk. We'll see if they stay out of this. It will be interesting to see how Hook handles a guy Bear's size. That'll be an interesting Tazplex.

Bear lands a sit out powerbomb and celebrates to the crowd. Hook COMPLETELY no sells it and just stands up. That looked really, really stupid.
However, he landed 2 Tazplexes and looked great doing them. Good job by him and Bear Bronson making them look good. Hook with the Tazmission to end it.

Kris Statlander and Leyla Hirsch. No entrances for either.

Handshakes to begin the match. Statlander wins via submission. Kris extends her hand for a post match handshake. Hirsch slaps it away and walks off.

Arn Anderson says Cody is pissed off and is going to beat Sammy Guevara.
Sammy says 2 years ago this was a big match for him...... But now this is a big match for Cody. Sammy thanks Cody for starting the company, and then tells him "I'll be the one carrying it for years to come."
Mark Henry says It's time for the main event.

Wonder what the new belt is going to look like? And with the channel move I guess they have the option to rename it.

Cody's back is still a burned mess from when he put himself through a flaming table 3 weeks ago.
The crowd was completely in and out of sleep. Excalibur always sounds over the top. Ricky Starks always sounds too chill. Add all that up though and it felt like it hurt the feel of the match, especially the finish.
The match itself was pretty damn good. A little slow at times, but Cody would want to slow a guy like Sammy down so it makes sense.
Cody hits the Crossroads twice, and then a Tiger Driver for the 1, 2, 3. The crowd bood him when he held up the title.

Miro had all the momentum in the world and they had him drop it to a transitional champion for Cody Rhodes.
Lol ok

I think it was time to get the title off Sammy Guevara. His reign was probably the most disappointing for me and that's especially upsetting considering it ended what was probably my favorite TNT title reign. The heatless matches against a debuting Bobby Fish, Tony Nese, and Jay Lethal only really got interest going because they were debuting free agents. He never got to have an actual decent feud and instead was part of the absolutely terrible Inner Circle and American Top Team feud so that did absolutely nothing for him. It's unfortunate and I think it's one of the reasons I've lost interest in some of what AEW has been doing recently. I really hope the belt can rebound considering Cody is probably the safest way to make the belt feel "important" but I'm not exactly his biggest fan and with his past year of feuds being really lackluster I don't exactly have high hopes.

Miro made the title legit, and he often felt more important than even the world champ, Kenny Omega. He then drops the belt in weak fashion to Sammy, who goes on to do nothing with the title for a few months before dropping it to Cody of all people.
