HOLY MOLY!
That NWA Invasion Jarrett was a huge want of mine as a kid! I loved that gear! To the best of my knowledge, only one figure has been made of that (BendEms).
I was already sold on the Macho, but that right there is 100% what I want out of "retro" lines...figures that 100% could have fit in the original line, but just never made it.

Absolutely phenomenal. Well done, I will definitely pick up Macho. I was sceptical at first, but you guys have really captured the spirit of the originals.

100% my favorite retro figures. So damn cool. Hope somehow down the line they get rights to Terry Funk. He’d be perfect for the line.

I was coming to post the same thing -- these are the best Retros because they looked closest to the real thing. The Macho looks amazing -- I wonder if the feel matches.

I was coming to post the same thing -- these are the best Retros because they looked closest to the real thing. The Macho looks amazing -- I wonder if the feel matches. I can’t speak for Macho’s figure, but from handling both finished products of Meanie and Clark, I can tell you that the feel is similar but different. The limbs are like a gummy mixed with soft rubber. The finish to the limbs has a very faint stick to it. Heads, torsos, and crotch pieces are all a smooth, hard plastic. The skin on the arms and legs is maybe not as smooth as the BCA skin. It’s got the same firmness - if not more - due to the mechanism within. The bone-crushing feature inside sounds better than BCAs ever did and is not the least bit difficult to trigger. I don’t think any company would’ve been capable of achieving the exact same feel nearly 25 years later, but it’s closer than I would have ever thought possible. Closer than when Jakks went back to the BCA well in ‘01, that’s for sure. And to think that an upstart such as FC Toys could achieve that is honestly mind blowing to me. These feel like a refreshed original BCA style with joints that probably won’t loosen as easily and limbs that shouldn’t flail about. Perfect for being displayed. Will they hold up to the same abuse as BCA figures? That I don’t know, nor do I think it should even be considered since the packaging clearly states these are for ages 15+ and an adult collectible, not a toy.

Chicago -- I miss interacting with you on here. Thanks for posting this -- I can't imagine a better description -- besides getting to feel these for myself (which I'd still like to do!)

FC Toys continuing to knock it out of the park with this line! NWA Invasion Jeff Jarrett is a great deep cut look, and will be a 50/50 for me at this stage. Literally waiting for Dragon & Onoo twin pack and the Randy Savage to drop - will be instant buys for me! One would think that FC will milk out at least one other variant of Savage will depending on the look, may mean a double dip for yours truly! Can't wait!

I love that they gave Gillberg the tattoo. Made me chuckle seeing it, reminds me of how silly the character was.

I’m legit thinking of getting into the line and going back and picking up one of each person from the old BCA line. Trouble is going to be picking my favorite Austin.

Not a whole lot of interest in the others but might have to make a order for that variant Dragon. That thing looks incredible, really happy with the price on the two packs too,was expecting more then that

I always preferred his BCA figures in street gear. Namely, the ones that originated from boxed sets such as Off The Mat and Bad to the Bonz. With the vest and jorts (blue or black). Those combat boots were made for stomping mud holes. I hope FTC dabbles in street gear figures. If they develop a t-shirt mold and jeans mold like Jakks did with Signature Series 1 Austin, they’ll be set.

I always thought the King of the Iron Rungs box set came out prior to Signature Series 1, but I 1000% defer to you on anything BCA. Either way, totally agreed on Street Gear. Honestly, I'd argue that the Sig Series 1 is the definitive Austin BCA.

I think I agree with the street gear looks being better. Right now thinking I’ll go with the jorts and vest look from the Off The Mat series. That way I get the blue strap to go with him. Might even go with a street gear Rock attire. My second favorite to collect was Mr Ass. Thinking I’m going with the yellow gear because it pops so well on a shelf. Instant nostalgia thinking about it. Based on the list I just made, I’m looking at about 85 figures not counting this I’ll need to buy/get through trade.

The t-shirt and jeans mold was originally conceived for the King of the Iron Rungs box set.

Limiting yourself to just one of each character can be tricky when you get into different phases of a wrestler’s career (Rocky Maivia to The Rock, for instance). Billy Gunn from the Fully Loaded box set is a great choice! It’s not too expensive either. My favorite is the neon green attire from Fully Loaded Series 1. One street gear Rock that I really like, and that I think would go well with OTM Austin, is the Backlash Series 4 Rock with the cow print vest.
