I can't imagine any of these indie lines have the sack to put exclusivity in the contract. They're just happy to get a signing. I also doubt a performer would want to sign an exclusive contract knowing they can make more with many companies. Gives me hope Jazwares can nab a couple of these guys for their Luminaries line. We all know Mattel won't get to do that unless the wrestler was with WWE and signs with them. For me as an observer an interesting question is would the indie makers across all the different lines go after those wwe wouldn’t due to no wrestling related reasons? There’s people who haven’t had a figure for years and won’t again - would these Indie companies get criticism for going after them? I mean personally I wouldn’t be in favour at all but there is an ex wwe champ who was also a wcw champ and in wcw for the bone cruncher period. We know who he is and we know he’s never getting a wwe figure, I wonder would another company try and contact his estate and what would the reaction be? I don't think the "backlash" would be big enough to harm said indie company, as that backlash will be in the collector area only and won't even hit mainstream anything. I mean, there are Hitler action figures, Pee Wee Herman figures, "terrorist" action figures, etc. If an indie company wants to risk the collector backlash for the profit they'd indeed make from ... him, well damn sign me up for a purchase. I love my custom but a Jazwares version would be stellar.

I don’t think Chella would risk it; if they announced they were to make money off him then they’d get a tonne of crap from the usual source - you can just imagine the point-scoring against Chella for that move.
Snuka might be different since it was well known for decades something happened with him yet he continued to be celebrated by WWE themselves until the subject became too mainstream for them to ignore. Same with Moolah, but again someone like Chella would be setting themselves up for easy criticism getting in bed with them as things stand.
A better move would be to engage with the Toffoloni family about getting some Woman figures made - she deserves to be celebrated for herself, rather than ignored due to what happened to her.

Some interesting things that were said by 3Lephant (Naptown Icon) in this pod appearance: - He thinks the packaging will match up pretty well with the earlier carded Jakks figures rather than anything later. - There might be an insert and inside the packaging, too. - Meanie has been one of the easiest names to work with as far as everything goes. - He pushed for Meanie to be the first reveal because he fills in a gap and was a logical fit. Didn't take much convincing. - He pushed for "Bryan Clark" because, with the line just getting started, he wanted to play it safe and avoid any legal trouble. - There won't be any wacky accessories like breakable box TVs or leaf blowers or anything like that in this line. - Series 1 will be four singles and one 2-pack. They're finalizing Series 2 and looking towards Series 3. - The price point they're shooting for is similar to Chella's Wrestling Megastars line, which is roughly 40 USD each. - They have to see how the Series 1 numbers are before they start moving beyond the planning stages of production on Series 2. - There is one A-level talent that is yet to be announced for Series 1, and it's not someone Chella is currently working with. - The other name that hasn't been revealed yet is like Sonny Onoo in that they have also never had an action figure before. - He thinks having two names like that in one series is pretty monumental, and he hopes that's enough to drive interest in pre-orders. - Just because four names in Series 1 haven't been made in the Wrestling Megastars or Uncensored lines doesn't mean it'll never happen. - He just wanted to make sure people knew that FC Toys wasn't relying on only names Chella Toys has a relationship with. - He put out feelers for Anvil and hasn't really heard anything back. He assumes it's because of an existing WWE legends deal. - He's trying to fill out that BCA Hart Foundation lineup, so if anything changes with Anvil, he'll definitely reach out again. - He's got his priorities in mind, but he's not being selfish about it. He's going after names that he thinks people will be excited about. - Current plan is for Series 1 to be staggered releases. If all goes well, Series 2 will probably be done as one solid group. - Meanie and Clark will likely be offered for pre-order at the same time on January 22. - The Ultimo/Sonny 2-pack will be its own release sometime after that [Chella said on IG that they're hoping for February]. - The final two reveals for Series 1 will likely be grouped together, similar to Meanie and Clark's pre-orders. - If everything goes according to plan, they'll have at least two full series done and in collectors' hands for 2022. - If things go smoothly and sales are strong for the first and second series, then we'll have more series to look forward to.

I can't seen any toy company or line in their right mind ever touching Benoit, for a lot of reasons. Beyond the (IMO deserved) terrible publicity that would bring them, it would likely impede others from signing with them in association, That's 1000% more true for Jazzwares IMO as there's no chance AEW would ever be associated with the name.

Thanks for typing that up mate Chicago If they have two full sets in hand in the coming year then that's huge! I like that they are trying to stray away from exactly the same names that are in the Retro line, obviously there'll be crossover at some points. I'm hoping Ultimo gets a Retro eventually. I have to be honest, I'm excited at the prospect of Series 2 going up as a full set releases and I hope that continues going forward. I'd much prefer these to be in set waves rather than the norm staggered releases. It may just be me being funny, but it pleases my OCD for it to go like that. I'll be ordering a Blue Meanie and Bryan Clark, possibly two of him to keep one MOC but I wanna see the boxed images first. I'm thinking for my wallet that I'll only double up on the two packs as I think they'd be funner to have displayed boxed so I should really make that my rule before they come out.

Not mentioned in your summary he hinted at a wrestler with the same "iconic" BCA body as Ultimo. Surely that's a Ken Shamrock body underneath there

Seemed fairly obvious by the kick pads alone, but still an interesting bit of trivia. One thing I love about the art is that it’s very clearly inspired by the BCAs, and as a result, the final product should be as close to the originals as they can possibly make them.

The BCA era was after I stopped buying figures as a kid so they have no sentimental value to me. But it's cool they are doing this for the BCA collectors. I've looked at a bunch of the series this week. There's some really cool ones like Farooq in Nation attire. But there's also a lot of awful ones...like everything else lol.
I love the 3 pack Hart Foundation jacket one.

Anvil would be a huge get. I have the rest of the Hart Foundation stored away somewhere.

Mideon in my opinion is the biggest hole in the BCA line, besides Anvil, so I’d hope it would be possible. Obviously they’d have to label him “Dennis Knight” but still, it would be great to have a complete ministry.

I think if you’re going to fill holes in the BCA timeline, it would be wise to also look into names like: Jake Roberts Bart Gunn Furnas & LaFon The Bodydonnas Rikishi The Stooges Mean Street Posse Chainsaw Charlie/Terry Funk Scott Taylor Meat/Shawn Stasiak Tiger Ali Singh Golga Funaki Sniper Miguel Perez Jr. Gillberg Steven Regal Prince Albert Crash Holly PG-13 That’s in no particular order. Obviously, we could piece together a list of 100 or more names for the WWF alone from the mid-to-late ‘90s. I was doing that tonight, actually. I could’ve mentioned many bigger names than the ones listed above, but the BCA collector in me would just love to add to or complete some additional teams and/or factions. All of those names would have me jumping for joy, no matter the fact that I’d be in the minority of interested buyers lol.

A Jake Roberts BCA would be awesome! Chicago -- thank you for typing all this up. I'm most interested to see what materials they use. In your recap, it says there is a video where you can see the BCA action and the rubber used. I think I missed that. Where could I see it?

Out of that list, I’d be the most supportive of Tennessee Lee and Meng. I think it could work as a Colonel Robert Parker/Meng 2-pack, which would count since they were a pairing in mid-‘90s WCW. If Ultimo and Sonny can get the green light, I don’t see why those two couldn’t as well (provided Parker signs). If there is a way of doing Meng and Barbarian, I’d happily go for that instead. I could see Jakks with the WCW license make them as a Tag Team or 2 Tuff 2-pack using the same body type, and I actually believe the same thing could be done for BCWs to keep costs down. Maybe Jeff Jarrett becomes available later and a 2-pack with Tennessee Lee could be arranged. You never know.
