I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this (I'm new here), but I had this idea for a figure line having to do with the Forbidden Door, and the different people who had passed through it.
The Forbidden Door: Series 1 - Nick Gage (AEW Dynamite July 21st, 2021 [Fyter Fest Night 2])
- Aero Star (AEW Dynamite November 3rd, 2021)
- Samuray Del Sol (AEW Dynamite November 3rd, 2021)
- Maki Itoh (AEW Dynamite March 3rd, 2021)
- KENTA (AEW Dynamite February 4th, 2021)
- Minoru Suzuki (AEW All Out 2021)
- Chris Jericho (Painmaker)
The Forbidden Door: Series 2- Kamille (AEW Dynamite August 4th, 2021 [Homecoming])
- Satoshi Kojima (AEW All Out 2021)
- Mei Suruga (AEW Women's World Championship Elimination Tournament - First Round)
- Sami Callihan (IMPACT Slammiversary 2021)
- Konosuke Takeshita (AEW The House Always Wins 2021)
- Hikuleo (AEW Dynamite July 28th, 2021 [Fight For The Fallen])
- Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson (NJPW)

AEW needs more Maki Itoh.
Jeremy has already made it clear he'd be down if it's possible. Licensing/revenue split probably makes anything big picture very, very difficult. But I'd love to see somebody like Suzuki or Gage show up in the line.

No, Jazwares should focus on making figures of wrestlers under AEW contract first.

Because Impact don't currently have a toy deal, I would love it if Jazwares could find a way to get the Impact championship belt into the line.

No, Jazwares should focus on making figures of wrestlers under AEW contract first. I agree. Especially, because I want to see some AEW Dark talent hit the shelves. But more figures for more talent is just exciting.

This is a good idea, but as others have said, Jazzwares is struggling just to execute actual and current AEW guys

Super 7 has an NJPW line, that's the only place you're going to see their roster. I'd love figures of Maki and Mei, but I don't know how likely that is. I could see Emi getting one at some point.
I don't get this whole Forbidden Door thing, though. Just in general. That door's about as forbidden as the one leading out of Arkham Asylum.

Well it would certainly save me money because I would only buy Cody, Jericho and Omega. Personally I would rather they focus on new parts for wrestlers in AEW. We definitely need a new Pac torso with the love handles. And they need to focus on more arm choices that are a bit more defined and aren’t so cylinder shaped.

I think you've come up with a creative idea and gave great examples. Never say never (even if the chances are small).

Actually, this brings up a question I'm pretty unclear about - what are the boundaries for who's eligible in the line? Is Jazwares allowed to make deals with non-contracted talent who have appeared on AEW programming, similar to Jakks's deal with their WWE line, or is it just people who are definitively signed to AEW?

On one hand this is FN brilliant if I ever got a Mei Suruga figure I’d literally lose my mind. But on the other hand I think you gotta focus on your current roster especially seeing how often AEW adds people to their roster or people change their looks. Like I’m still waiting for a updated Shida and PAC & Riho figures that don’t give me the urge to rub acetone in my eyes

I just want an indy legends line (or at the very least a 2 pack) of Super Dragon and Excalibur. Anything else would rule, but I'm sure licensing issues would cause problems with the NJPW and Impact guys. Gage in the line would rule though. Even just a wave or dropping a few classic attires in here and there would rule. DDT Kenny, Cody's venom snake gear from ROH, some throwback bucks gear, fallen angel daniels, polka dots Cabana, etc

Of course we don’t know if that’s doable, but if it is I’d love to see it.
Just my personal opinion but the NJPW lines stink in terms of their articulation so I’d love to see KENTA, Ishii and hopefully Okada if he shows up. I’d say it’s pretty unlikely but you never know.
I think Impact and Indy names are more likely since they don’t have toy lines but again there’s no way to say if it’s doable unless we see them in the line at some point. I’d get a Nick Gage or an updated Good Brothers for sure. I’d say the non-legend folks at Impact would be unlikely unless they’ve appeared on AEW.

Any NJPW guys I would happily buy, if they could ever make them. Good Brothers as well.
Juvi as well!

Is Jazwares allowed to make deals with non-contracted talent who have appeared on AEW programming, similar to Jakks's deal with their WWE line, or is it just people who are definitively signed to AEW? Great question, though I don't think we have a definitive answer. So far the only luminaries announced have been Sting and Jericho, who are obviously both under deals. But when the line first was announced, Jeremy was reaching out to talent on twitter who were involved in the CS line. So I'd think the possibility is at least there and was discussed with AEW without any major resistance. Right now there are only so many slots to go around. But I'm sure Jeremy is pushing to introduce a third single pack line, and a Luminaries branch off would make total sense. Especially Owen Hart and AEW's own big name signings that they can pitch to retailers. So we'll see.

Down the road it sounds great but like others have said I just want them to focus on the main roster for now.

I get why people want a main roster focus, but with the way they burn through line debuts I also get why people are starting to look outwards. For my part I'd take literally any joshi wrestler they want to put in the line. (Aja Kong for Luminaries or GET OUT.)
