Was a long time WWE fan and have more Jakks stuff than I am proud to admit. However, Mattel figures seem far superior to what Jakks pumped out, and as such, I ended up starting (another) collection.
However, as someone who's a bit late to the game, there seem to be so many figures that have been released a long time ago, that would surely sell well on a second run, for those of us who weren't around the first time (or who just didn't have access - I live in Ireland and getting certain figures, especially exclusives, is very difficult).
Some characters (Hogan, Warrior, Reigns, Cena, Rock, Austin, etc) are massive names, so Mattel seem to re-release these over and over (presumably they sell well), but a lot of other characters, that are also fairly well known, are impossible to find and would surely sell well.
For example, Legion of Doom Hawk and Animal (red gear, WWF look), Demolition Ax and Smash, Ted DiBiase, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Honky Tonk Man, Natural Disasters Earthquake and Typhoon, Jake Roberts, Akeem, Brutus Beefcake, Mr. Perfect, Andre The Giant.. those are just random names that come into my head, that if they appeared for sale (at reasonable prices) in Elite form, I'd buy straight away. (great to see Big Boss Man being redone again in the next Elite series!).
I'd also love to see re-releases of the mid-carders from the late 90s that would possibly be marginally difficult as I'm not sure they'd sell aswell, but would still be wanted by enough people to perhaps to a limited run of online only sales? I'm thinking along the lines of X-Pac, Godfather, D'lo Brown, Al Snow, APA Bradshaw and Faarooq, Dudley Boyz, Val Venis, Goldust, etc. (I'm assuming all of these have already appeared, although I don't think the APA have been done in ring gear?).
Anyway, enough of my rambling, I just think it'd be a really good idea and surely would generate some cash for Mattel, rather than having some obscenely priced 2nd-hand stuff floating around which just puts some characters beyond the reach of your everyday collector.
