So watching the punk debut and the press conference after it was mentioned about aew’s stance of don’t deny it but don’t confirm it and punk eluded to others probably knowing but not mentioning
So just imagine if word was given to jazzwares but they were told not to disclose and suddenly in the next day or so a punk figure drops.
That would be epic!

Just thought while watching the press briefing how epic it would’ve been to have had notice to the toy company do they could do a surprise drop just after. |

I don’t see the big appeal to Punk. I liked him back in the day…he wasn’t a favorite but I did enjoy his work. That said he’s been gone long enough that I can honestly say I haven’t missed him. So it’ll be like Edge’s comeback for me I will be interested for a match or two, but then the appeal will fade away and he’ll just be another guy on the roster. So I will probably buy a figure but that’ll be it unless a different one really wows me.

I would LOVE a red shorts/blonde hair Ring of Honor Punk in the Classics/Legends line we're supposedly still getting at some point. I would also love an ROH American Dragon Bryan Danielson figure (given that he is signed/going to sign with AEW) in the maroon gear with the robe and maybe a blue trunks chase. Obviously ROH belts are (presumably) out of the question but I don't see ROH putting up any resistance to Jazwares/AEW using those looks for action figures.

You don’t like that guy, that’s fine and dandy but the numbers and prove are there that he’s a draw and the people still want to see him. |

I gotta think Jeremy is fast tracking it and has been working on it since punk was confirmed. Depending when that actually was, might not actually be all that long. His attires are easy to change up could definitely launch a rsc exclusive for the first. Could probably get it to market in a few months, which means if they get concept art done could put a pre order up basically whenever they want now.

If I was Jazwares, I would’ve started gathering all the Punk reference and resource material I could find the minute after Darby’s best in the world promo, and do as much work as could be done on a Punk figure (like the tattoo deco and part choices for ring gear figures) without seeing him on TV

That's a lot of conjecture to draw from a guy who owned his opinion right in the original post and didn't project it upon anybody's point of view but his own. I won't buy sight unseen, but I'm excited for the prospect of a slightly better Punk figure than what I have. I really, really, really like the one I have (the Elite based on WM29, IDK what set it's from), but face definitely shows its age next to some of the more modern sculpted faces. |

Considering the speed at which orange cassisdy came out [from the online protos to the announcment of when he was coming out] Punk will be coming very soon I imagine.

Punk was my favorite during his tenure in WWE. I can’t wait for more figures of his to become available. I only have a couple of his Elites still and wish I’d kept more. They can release as many as they want.

I feel like I’m crazy, and that Hardy was announced fast for series 4. I looked it up and it appears to have been in Jan of 2021, and he debuted in March of 2020. Not as “fast” as I thought, but still under a year.

Getting the Pepsi and Cobra tattoos would be wild. Hopefully that’s a thing that can happen.
But this is hurry up and wait imo. The process just takes the amount of time it takes. I’m sure Jeremy will make him a priority on the Jazwares side but he’s only going to control so much on the logistics side. So I’m expecting Punk in like ten months-ish. Probably around the time PWTs will get caught up on fulfilling Punk shirt orders haha.
Looking forward to seeing his gear at All Out since I’m guessing that will be the attire for this first figure by default.
