The WWE cuts have clearly cost Mattel a lot of money already? Do you think Mattel just eats these -- or WWE makes it up to them somehow?

Where are we getting this Sami and Kevin are leaving thing? Sami is the number 2 heel on Smackdown and Kevin is probably the number 3 or 4 babyface depending on where you slot Finn, Big E, and Nakamura The Kevin thing is mainly just a personal fear but, as stated, Sami's contract is supposedly expiring I think I read at the end of next month and, well, it doesn't look good for your chances when it's this close to a deadline and you haven't been on TV for a month.
I mean, he could be injured, we don't know. But it just strikes me as suspect that he's completely vanished at this point. I really think he shot his brand in the foot when he skipped out for COVID while holding the belt. Vinny Mac holds a dang grudge.
But even if they both stay, 92 is almost certainly going to be a four-figure set (with no chase at that). Unless Vince and CO knows something everyone else doesn't about Adam Cole resigning which I wouldn't put it past them. But the AEW crowd already teasing him makes me think he's as good as gone.

Hmm... well, you have to think there is a give and take for their relationship. After all, if the figures aren't made, the WWE doesn't make any money off them either. But I would have to imagine that there is some type of "guarantee" clause in their contract that states if a certain amount of loss is accrued for a set that WWE has to make it up to them. Hasn't it been confirmed that the budget for the sets goes wave by wave? I would think that if so much of the budget gets wasted and the profit doesn't make up for it, that there's a contingency in their contract that accounts for it.
That said, we all know the kinds of shady ish that Vince pulls when it comes to contracts, so I wouldn't put it past him to just have Mattel eat the cost. It's a bad look on them, but when has Vince given a crap about that lately?

to be fair, if he's hurt AGAIN then he might aswell be gone. I don't think WWE will keep him around if he cant stay healthy especially at the rate they are cutting talent for any reason they can muster. |

It comes up every time someone asks why we haven't gotten legend x, y, or z as a Basic. Someone asserts that nobody with any sort of awareness of such legends would ever lower themselves to buying Basics, and then somebody else inevitably stamps it out with the fact that they buy Basics because, believe it or not, people buy Basics. |
