I’m still a WWE fan and will continue to be. I’m just an AEW fan now too. Sometimes I watch Nightmare on Elm Street films. Sometimes I watch Friday The 13th films. It’s ok to like it all. For me it’s okay for me to finally sour on WWE, when they’ve continually let talent I’ve enjoyed watching go away. They’ve found a way to ruin NXT (which was my favourite show next to Smackdown). AEW’s signings mean I actually sit and watch a full show nowadays, whereas the spark with WWE was lost long ago

I'm more of a scream/I know what you did last Summer kinda guy myself 😂. But absolutely, enjoy what you enjoy. There's so much wrestling out there is seems crazy to me to limit myself to one company, even if I have a clear favorite.

I like wrestling. Sometimes, I get my wrestling from WWE. Sometimes, I get it from AEW. Once in a while, I'll even get it from ROH, NJPW, Impact!, MLW, or a handful of indys around my area. I've never understood brand loyalty when so many attractive options are on the table. I'm a Coke guy 90% of the time, but sometimes, a Pepsi hits just right. There's a reason Baskin Robbins has 31 flavors.

At the same time it’s ok if you only like one. Just don’t be a dick if others like other options. Enjoy what you enjoy.
Unless it’s Lex Luger. Ew.

I’ve seen rumours that apparently Fox are watching the AEW stuff.
Bye bye billion dollar deal 😬

Wrestling is a niche sort of thing that a good lot of us probably got ruthlessly picked on for enjoying growing up. Last thing anyone needs to be doing is dragging anyone down because their flavor of wrestling isn't the same as the one you might like. I think you're allowed to bully people if they only watch CZW though.

Cody's got to be pissed that all these people that AEW fans actually like are going to be eating up all the TV time for him and perennial never-was QT Marshall.

I thought overall it was a great PPV. I'd give it 4 out of 5. Some fun matches, some big surprises, and just overall enjoyable as you'd hope a pro wrestling ppv would be. Here are some quick thoughts.
I really enjoyed the Kingston vs Miro Match. I thought it was exactly what it needed to be even though I think we all fully expected Miro to retain.
The Moxley match was decent and fun surprise at the end to set up the match on Dynamite in Cincinnati.
The Tag Match was just holy s*** awesome
I thought Baker and Statlander did great. A big fan of both these ladies. I really enjoyed the match, and the crowd was into it. They put on a great performance.
Female Battle Royal was fun. it had slow points and high points, but overall I was invested. Then having Ruby show up was awesome. I expected Rosa to win from the get go, so when Ruby won I was shocked.
Qt and Paul as well as Jericho and MJF were the duller matches of the night. But in no way bad. Just the pace or the spots, I don't know what it was. But like I said, no way bad, just the duller matches of the night.
Punk and Darby was a nicely paced yet still fun match for a first match back for Punk. Punk Didn't over do it, or try too much too soon, and Darby did the more high risk stuff.
Christian and Omega was great. I really, really liked their match. And then when it was over, holy hell. Cole and Danielson! So happy to see both in AEW. Like others on here though, it made me wonder about Hangman. I really want him to rise to the top, and dethrone Omega and win the AEW title. But will he now with all these top level talents showing up? And even if he does win the belt from Omega, will he get the time and reign I feel he needs and should get, when AEW probably really wants to fast track the belt onto either Punk or Danielson?
I hope so. And I think he will. AEW so far has been great at handling the young talent and building them up. I hope it continues.

Coming from a lifetime WWE fan (always will be) WWE could have all the stars in the world (it felt like at certain points the last few years they did) but if they still don't know/care to book a proper show and talent properly, people (fans and wrestlers alike) are gonna go elsewhere.
WWE has been on auto pilot for a while now, hopefully this starts to push them to create better stories, characters, etc...
I was already on the cusp but after tonight I went from a casual AEW fan to "I need to start following Dynamite and Rampage more religiously" because this company has the potential and the roster to do some special things.

I’m sure Punk has told them to keep him away from the main event, at least for a while. I’m sure Hangman will have his big moment. Bryan will probably work Cole.

Tony Khan is a confirmed coward if he doesn't let Bryan wrestle Suzuki on Dynamite or Rampage.

Ok, you know who AEW needs to reel in?
Jeremy Padawer.
This man is so cringe on Twitter. Basically anybody not with AEW praising the show is getting a response from him to the tune of "Come join our team! Let's make some figs! Waddaya say?! #AEW #etc".

Nice double debut with Cole and Bryan, kinda wasnt expecting Cole until later for some reason, but I flipped out when he came out. Amazing show tonight for sure even before the debuts.

My ONLY problem with the show was it was too long and/or too much. It was exhausting.
MotN was Darby/Punk, for myself. AEW needs more of that kind of wrestling.

The number of WWE talent Tweeting about tonight's PPV was interesting. Some did so "cryptically", other not so much. The majority of it was support for Ruby, but there were some other acknowledgements as well.

Lucha Bros win the titles, Ruby debuts and wins, Cole and Danielson show up.
I am most pleased.

Really enjoyed the PPV.
Miro/Eddie was a fun opener and had a different feel from most openers today that usually have a quicker pace.
Mox always puts on a fun outing. Nothing amazing but still enjoyable. The post-match surprise was great.
I’m no Bucks fan but the tag match was match of the night and the right team went over.
Baker/Statlander was solid.
I would have had Rosa win the battle Royale but Ruby was a nice surprise.
Jericho /MJF seemed off. Their Dynamite match a month ago was great, but this seemed to be missing something.
Wright/QT was bathroom break material.
Punk/Darby was great for a “welcome back” match. I enjoyed it from start to finish and look forward to an eventual rematch down the line.
Omega/Christian put on another classic. Yeah we knew who the winner would be but that didn’t take away from it for me.
I think Hangman shot himself in the foot. No, I don’t blame him for taking time off and putting his family first. But the timing of it couldn’t be worse. The guy is taking time off right when he seemed to be hitting peak momentum, and now Punk, Bryan, Cole, Black, etc…have all been jumping ship to AEW. BIG names who have all made an impact so far (Bryan and Cole debuting alone is huge). He’ll still be over when he returns, but the longer he stays out, the more the fans will get behind other faces while his momentum continues to loose steam. Who know what the plans are going forward now that we have all these big names jumping ship. Hangman may have been the endgame for Kenny before tonight, but that doesn’t seem so clear now.

Finally made it back to the hotel. I’m still reeling…
My big takeaway from tonight is that I love professional wrestling. I’m so done with the us vs them mentality. AEW does wrestling so well. No reason for the other place to exist on the radar unless you want it to. Connecticut is still considered to be the “top” of the “wrestling” business, but anything they do doesn’t matter to me at all. I love what AEW is doing and I’m staying in this lane. It’s still important to compare the business aspects like ratings because that will decide AEW’s next tv deal and what their next step looks like. I love wrestling and I want this place to succeed.
The last 3 years have been amazing and I’m so thankful that AEW exists. Wrestling in this country was heading in a terrible direction with more and more people being driven off. That said, tonight felt special. Having been in the building for Punk, Cole, AND Danielson’s debut….the tide is changing and wrestling is heading in a great direction. I wanna break down the show later, just had to get this out.
I love wrestling.
PS: Hangman will be the one to dethrone Omega. Ruby won’t beat Britt. All is good! Enjoy the ride.

For now I agree with you that his timing couldn’t have been worse. But I also feel like had he, let’s say won the title tonight, his win might also have been overshadowed by everyone else’s arrivals. So I’m still thinking this may all work out for the best. By the time he comes back and guys like Punk, Danielson, Cole have been around for a minute, his return will again be the hot commodity just in time for him to take the title from Omega.
