Shame we never got a Rick Rude/Randy Savage feud in the WWF. Seems like the feud writes itself, Rude as the womanizer who picks women out of the audience to make out, and Savage being the ultimate overprotective boyfriend. They would have had to make it a bit different than what they did with Jake and Rude. He couldn't try to pull Liz from the crowd and kiss her, everyone knew who Liz was at that point. Though, Rude hitting on her, or sending her roses and gifts as a secret admirer would have been interesting. I wonder if they could have fit it in at the end of 1988. They could have used it to further the Hogan/Savage feud. Savage would think that the gifts were from Hogan. This could have helped intensify is jealousy which would help how he went over the edge with Hogan and Liz. |
