What were the plans for Cyrus? Did they even have any plans outside of the truth commission?

What were the plans for Cyrus? Did they even have any plans outside of the truth commission? Callis claims they had plans for em to be a writer. Take that for what its worth I know his TV character was down the tubes after both the Oddities and Acolytes flop

What were the plans for Cyrus? Did they even have any plans outside of the truth commission? I heard that the original plans for him was to be in a tag team with Rick Martel called the Models or the Super Models. But Rick couldn't come to terms with the WWF and eventually signed with the WCW. From Wikipedia: Callis received a try-out match with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in 1996 and was eventually hired to form a tag team with Rick Martel, which was dubbed "The Models". When Martel officially departed from the WWF for World Championship Wrestling (WCW), Callis was left without a gimmick and spot on WWF television. In a shoot interview with RF Video, Callis first revealed that he and Rick Martel were set to debut on WWF TV as "The Supermodels" in 1997, before he would eventually turn on Martel, turning Martel into a babyface for the first time since Martel walked out on his former teammate Tito Santana at WrestleMania V. Callis later reaffirmed that he and Martel were set to debut as a team during an interview with WWE.com in 2015.
In 1997, Martel returned to Canada to team with Don Callis as the Supermodels feuding with a young Edge and Christian.

Seems like either an interview with Callis or maybe it was Prichard saying they really don’t have much aside from the truth commission which wouldn’t surprise me.

Glad this didnt come to fruition. Flop written all over it. Instantly wouldve killed Martel and any hope of a good 2nd run

It might have given the Model a second life in 1994/95, but by 97, I think the gimmicky characters were no longer working unless they had a very dark edge to them.

Funny thing is, I've heard that story about the Supermodels before, but this is the first time I realized that Don Callis was Cyrus/the Jackyl.

Which I cant see with that type of gimmick Reminds me of Sal Sincere. He was still using that cocky good looking gimmick through most of 97 and it just didnt fit once they got more edgy with Raw is War

Now a return that almost happened 97 and I wish it did was Shango. Wouldve been interesting to see the character in this era. Instead of black goo we no doubt wouldve saw blood pour out from someones head or mouth

Could he have worked as The Higher Power?

Could he have worked as The Higher Power? Good question. I say it wouldve been helluva more interesting than Vince just off the fact of him and Taker being close friends in real life. You know they wouldve at least tried to make it work. The eerie promos wouldve made for great TV
