Here’s my stance. For example, I ordered the Mattel Creations deal and I knew I’d be waiting for that stuff until potentially Aug of 2022. Fine, no problem. I preordered the UE Hogan and it said I’d get it in October, no problem. Then I get the Aug 2022 date and it annoyed me to no end. Here’s my question. I understand the Mattel Creations stuff is delayed because it’s essentially a special project not meant for retail. But the UE Hogan? Why are there preorders going up for a figure in production, that they can’t fulfill for a whole year? I’m quickly tiring of all of this needing to be a mystery. I appreciate Bill and AFA giving us updates on stuff and I feel bad for them when I’m sure Mattel tells them to keep stuff quiet, it’s all a weird mystery for no reason. I needed to buy something NOW to ensure I can get it in a year? I’m sorry but there’s no need for this to be so freaking complicated. It sure doesn’t make me wanna preorder anything ever again, I can say that much. It just feels like they’re moving the goal posts AFTER taking my money and I don’t like it whatsoever. But Amazon doesn’t charge until the item ships, so they haven’t taken any money yet, I’d assume? I just assumed they took the money. Honestly, if they’re not even charging you yet, then what is the purpose of doing any of this? Just put it on sale when it’s in stock. What are we doing here?

Yes Amazon doesn’t take the money until the day they ship the item.

the small amount of production run is the biggest issue. this is why there pushed back..via a second production run. someone f'd up.

You all do realize that a delay doesn’t realistically effect any of us in the slightest bit, right?

OK, but I want the figure in October! Ok, well… I mean a delivery delay is always possible and not even tragic, but the announced release date was October and now it says f*cking August 2022, without mentioning the pre-order phase which was also a disaster and nobody gives us any information. Is the date now official or an error? Will we get the figure as advertised in October? Who is affected by the second production run? Same with SDCC Sgt. Slaughter which was sold in July, now it is September and it hasn't even been shipped yet.

It was Amazon.de So I'm pretty sure I'll recieve it on Friday, because Amazon would never charge you before that.

Hogan being pushed back a year is weird. I am taking the assumption that Mattel originally, or didn't prepare for the demand.
Or Amazon just ordered a small amount.
Something went wrong with Mattel and Amazon. Mattel doesn't even seem to know when the orders are being placed on Amazon....and it sounds like they have to make more to fulfill Amazon's orders.
I understand why Amazon sets a limit, but it does feel like MAttel is leaving money on the floor by doing so.
