The page for Hogan has disappeared - just like the Elites did a few months back. I guess they're beginning to warm up for the official launch next week.

Hogan should have at least something else thrown in there like a shirt or belt. I will still buy it though lol He comes with a shirt, weight belt and title belt. When did Hogan start wearing weight belts?

He comes with a shirt, weight belt and title belt. When did Hogan start wearing weight belts? Hogan wore a weight belt at Wrestlemania 4, and again at Wrestlemania 9. Then quite solidly in WCW.

nobody is forcing anyone to buy these figures. just because a figure comes out doesnt mean you HAVE to own it. if you dont like something, dont spend your money on it. why does EVERYTHING nowadays have to lead to a revolution? "oh this jeff hardy figure is too big....everyone stop buying mattels forever so they will change the plastic parts used for a wrestling figure!"
i feel like everyone is suddenly a completist now, and they have to own everything, but then there's not an extra set of hands or the arms dont have wrist bands and there's this massive outrage like how DARE they not make something the way I wanted!
you dont have to buy it. you really dont.
complaining about everything brings this hobby and the aura around it down.

I find it quite common for people to buy stuff strictly based off future value or rarity. It happens with many people on Facebook. They don't care about the actual figures and are looking at it as an investment to make money.

Jeff looks so awesome. Cannot wait to get these in hand! Also not sure why they changed the spinner belt like that... The W is now flat with the scratch logo printed on... Looks weird and inaccurate. It's an odd looking. Why doesn't Mattel make a version of this belt that spins? I thought a spinner version would come with the Ultimate Cena... So only the Edge belt spins but not the regular like when Cena held it.

You're absolutely correct. I was never a super heavy poster over the years, but lately I feel there are a handful of consistent posters that are just never happy with anything and have nothing but complaints and negativity. Kind of a bummer. I just lurk for release info on the stuff I still collect.

I think it's fair as part of the conversation that we can critique an execution of a figure. If you have a strong nostalgic connection to a specific figure or moment in wrestling history you will likely want a figure of that particular character or look. In that sense you would want the best possible figure within reason. I just think the board would be boring if all we did was drool over every figure made. Yes some negativity and nitpicking is over the top. I agree there. But critiquing a figure is not a bad thing especially if it's one you have been looking forward to.

I agree, with elites yeah we have enough variations we could just say wait til that character gets another release, but Ultimates are a premium price and I expect more. The Jeff isn't as egregious and is the better of the two, but the Hogan is essentially a paint swap and almost all reused parts. I can easily move on and I wouldn't die on this hill, but fan feedback is important to get improvements we can all be happy about.

But it’s also OK to be disappointed in a figure. If you’re a big Jeff Harvey fan eagerly anticipating an ultimate edition of him and this is what they deliver then I get why someone would want to pick it apart and criticize the choices Mattel made. The same as a new movie or TV show that recently came out that you felt was bad, it’s ok to discuss what you didn’t like about it.

Great job on Hogan’s skin tone finally. I’ll get two of him (even though I don’t like the heads), but I can skip Jeff, as I have the EG which I’m happier with.

The same as a new movie or TV show that recently came out that you felt was bad, it’s ok to discuss what you didn’t like about it. There will always be mixed opinions. We probably have a couple hundred semi-regular posters here, and you're never going to get consensus opinion on anything. Ever. Some people will like a figure, others won't - sometimes the opinions are evenly split, other times there's a pretty clear majority view. Nobody is forced to buy anything. But this is also a forum to discuss figures, good, bad, and otherwise. There are some pretty clear examples where negative feedback has changed the production on a figure for the better (Ron Simmons HOC) or changed the way Mattel handled a figure moving forward. Do some people go overboard? Sure. But at the end of the day I think the hobby is a better place because people are willing to share their feedback and opinions, good, bad or otherwise. Mattel is a giant international corporation. They should have to put out a quality product to earn my dollars. I'm not losing any sleep over a figure that I don't like. But I absolutely share my thoughts in hopes that the product will be changed or improved moving forward. Any business should welcome and consider feedback, and the track record seems to show that Mattel does. I don't really get the attitude that some seem to have that we should be thankful that Mattel lets us buy their toys, and there should be nothing but positivity and praise.

I was planning on getting Jeff but I’ll stick with my Entrance Greats figure still. Way too bulky looking for him.
And yes, some people go too far in their complaining, but the constant complaining about the complainers is what keeps making threads go off topic from my perspective.
