its bad enough the majority of us could not get any of the 3 exclusives. Wait for the people who did to start having their orders canceled orders. Which is not uncommon. I have had orders canceled from Walmart, amazon and just recently Target.

All in all, these are still toys. Are we sure lol? Toys had always been something you could go to the store and purchase. To many of us these are becoming almost mythological, maybe complete fiction, or urban legend. I'm starting to doubt that some of them physically exist and are just images on my screen, or like part of a dream sequence or something lol. It seems like I can't obtain any of the ones I actually want.

I just can't understand why they'd seemingly produce so few of Hulk Hogan. Don't they know people get into bidding wars over the mere mention of his name?

These are clearly not marketed to children or even available to children really.

I was pissed about Sgt. Slaughter, but I get it. It was a comic con exclusive- I can see why they are limited, I guess. But this Hogan thing has me ready to hulk up dude. Whatcha gonna do when the exclusives don’t make it to you???

Considering these hogans went up for all of a couple of minutes at a previously undisclosed time I feel like they will pop back up intermittently. They can't have sold through their whole supply in such a short time.

When did it become expected that Mattel owes detailed information such as the exact minute a preorder will go live on a third party site like Amazon? And how does one know that Amazon even provided this info to Mattel? Or even if they do, that they execute flawlessly as planned, which Mattel has no control over?
And where is it written that just because you have the money to buy something that you’re entitled to get one, and Mattel owes you one, and should just “take your money”? Limited production run items exist in every collectible market and format. Not everybody that wants one of everything can get one of everything. #1/1 sports cards anyone?
And for those that say they hate exclusives and Mattel should stop making them...if the alternative is that this particular character or look never gets made if not for exclusives, are you proposing you’d rather not see it get made at all? Since you have $30 in your pocket and couldn’t get one, then nobody should have it? It just shouldn’t exist?
Steve has said that exclusives help support the line. That means retailers want exclusives in order to keep carrying the regular issue product. So since you couldn’t get an exclusive the day it went on sale, Mattel shouldn’t give exclusives to Amazon, and in turn it would be ok if I Amazon stopped carrying Mattel WWE figures entirely?

If MATTEL didn’t carry Mattel WWE, then I think we’d ALL be in for big trouble.

i will say this, everyone freaked out with fan takeover series 2 "pre-orders" selling out in minutes, and right now you can go on amazon and order anyone from the set
its just the general impatience of collectors that cause these issues at the beginning. then eventually stock evens out. this is amazon we're talking about, they didn't order 1000 ultimate edition hulk hogan figures.

I agree, however digressing slightly, the exclusives absolutely do support the line but they have to make them something unique and collectable in order to justify the collectability of the figure. Don't make hard-to-obtain, limited exclusives of characters that you know are in huge demand such as Hogan. We're supposedly getting The Goon as a main line figure - why? A jobber from the 90s, an obscure character, not a huge name. He'd be perfect for a limited exclusive. Hulk Hogan, however, remains elusive in main figure assortments. It's started to feel like a middle finger by Mattel to us as consumers.
