Not going to defend the long wait times, but in terms of reinvesting the profits - Bastion Booger and One Mang Gang are on the same boats as S2 before an order was taken (though he has since taken orders for Booger, but at least you could see the final product before ordering which will be the same for OMG)

Just a quick sweep of Social Media.. Notice the below posts were all in the year 2022! 3/16/2022 @majorpod Twitter w/ ZST tagged... “Already in development at the factory! Series 2 & 3 will have a short wait time!” 6/21/2022 @majorpod Twitter w/ ZST tagged… “Series 2: nearly finished at factory; will have much shorter wait time Series 3: no wait time” 3/16/2022 ZST Instagram: “ Pettengill and many other Heels and Faces figures are already in development at the factory so series 2 and 3 will have a short wait time!” 5/23/2022 ZST Instagram: “Series 2 PO up shortly, with a MUCH SHORTER wait time as the figures are almost done at the factory!” 6/16/2022 ZST Instagram: “We are anticipating having the 2 pack IN HAND by the end of the year along with Heels and Faces series 2!”
THIS. I would love to hear the explanation of how we still don't have these 1 year later.
The only thing I could think is the entire run was produced incorrectly -- if so, how can he not communicate that at all?
Also the elephant in the room is we know had this been any other company the criticism would be much stronger. Irrespective of the final product to make claims of much shorter wait times etc when it’s the same if not longer is laughable with zero apology or explanation.

So Mitch came through with a Hollywood C-Lister that I might actually want as he does fit in with the Hasbro/wrestling era: http://instagram.com/p/CxEy0OnMgE6 Kurt Fuller was the main villain in No Holds Bared. He also had memorable roles in Ghostbusters II, Psych, Wayne’s World, The Running Man, and was in at least one episode of nearly every tv show in the 90’s. Go pre order it, JOCKASS! Still doubt I'd order this, and bummed that it'll probably take precidence over legit WWF guys I actually want to get, but gotta say it's a way better move than Zombie w/ Bruce Lee.

A little off topic, but, has anyone seen the prototypes for the upcoming Super 7 Misfits/Danzig/Samhain Remco/MoTU figures due out next year? Gonna be buying all of those for sure. misfits are my favorite band, so yep i'll be buying them for sure. i just wish they had the same articulation as the wwe superstars line Yeah I'd love them to be articulated like the WWE Superstars line, but I guess they're going for more of the 80s vibe. I'm excited either way, u just hope the prices aren't too steep and they're relatively easy to get hold of. That bloodied Samhain version of Glenn is fantastic.

I’ve got to know how secondary movie villain in suit is a better move than Bruce Lee. He was in one of the most significant wrestling movies of time with arguably the most well known name in wrestling history. In some ways he “belongs” within the same universe whereas Bruce Lee is an outsider. Personally, I’m more likely to buy Kurt Fuller than Bruce Lee. That said, Bruce Lee is a bigger name and will probably sell more with Zombie’s reach.

I get that Fuller was in NBH and other stuff, I’ve watched those movies and didn’t even know his name until now. He was always one of those, “that guy” actors. Bruce Lee is a name you’d expect to move units.

Would the people that grew up watching him really be in that big of a force in 2023 and be collecting toys?

Seems like ZST has spent more time on his Bruce Lee figure and trying to make the greatest Tony Norris figure of all time instead of producing ANY FIGURE on his own created timelines. I have a Bundy and Mike Shaw coming which I am sure will be solid products like the Dino Bravo and Jeff Jarrett I have. The timeframes, the lies and the constant belittling of other companies makes you not want to do business with him. His roster for Series 3 is one of the better ones fitting the hasbro line and I would love to get the Barry Horowitz and Bad News Brown he showed 2 years ago. Feels like the retro bubble has definitely taken a hit from all the pre-orders with Chella's blowup and Zombie's glacial speed being big reasons for burn out IMO. Sad bc I like what Mitch has been doing and have ordered many of his figures. The new stuff Epic is showing looks phenomenal and I even rolled the dice on the KWK Mantaur. But the ZST timelines are comically bad and we needed these for posterity.

Agreed on this and I greatly hope Mattel makes a No Holds Barred 2 pack. Seems almost too easy to do, especially given how much Hogan figures they are pumping out. The packaging would be incredible on it

Would the people that grew up watching him really be in that big of a force in 2023 and be collecting toys? let's be honest, no-one outside the wrestling figure collector bubble is buying a figure of Kurt Fuller because he was a character in No Holds Barred - I agree with wwa - Fuller is just "that guy" to many people. I love Waynes World, I don't watch it and think "HEY!!! THERE'S KURT FULLER!!!" I see him and think "Oh yeah, he's here too" and when he appears in Ghostbusters, I don't think "crapjust got real!", I think "Oh yeah, he's been in a fair few movies..."
also, given Hasttel is just a wrestling figure persona (and not exactly got off to a good start) then it's hard to think "I'm prepared to support a totally new line of figures of forgettable actor names from a guy who sold me the figure that fell apart when I opened it"
and to the point re. Bruce Lee - yeah, he's got a far wider reach than that of a niche wrestling figure, but if you're a Bruce Lee fan, you're hardly scouring the internet for the latest obscure merchandise known to man to find "Zombie Sailor Toys" which makes wrestling figures and think "Hey, I need me one of those Bruce figs!!" - you're more likely to look for a figure from the big boys like NECA or Super7 which have articulation than a WWF Hasbro-esque figure which (if it's like Sabu) may fall over if the arms aren't in exactly the right position to balance it

The last paragraph is what I don’t get Literally niche (and not all) wrestling figure fans snd people who listen to a couple of podcasts will know snout the Bruce Lee. If you Google Bruce Lee figure what results page is zombie on, 5, 10, 15? Are people going to scroll past the first page? He had a niche in the market which he can’t fulfil and is now branching out?

The last paragraph is what I don’t get Literally niche (and not all) wrestling figure fans snd people who listen to a couple of podcasts will know snout the Bruce Lee. If you Google Bruce Lee figure what results page is zombie on, 5, 10, 15? Are people going to scroll past the first page? He had a niche in the market which he can’t fulfil and is now branching out? exactly this - if he was producing a licenced line of action figures for an upcoming/new series or movie, then you'd think "Hey, people might get onto this! This guy is producing stuff for a new Netflix series" and that might be interesting to see
but Bruce Lee? at the moment, his core audience are wrestling figure collectors - not collectors in general, he appeals to a miniscule niche of the collector community. as such, no-one outside that bubble is going to happen across him and think "This is what I need to spend my money on!!"
I live in the UK, we have Forbidden Planet (physical stores selling movie/comic merch) and there are already a number of Bruce Lee figures out there. the market isn't crying out for a Hasbro-styled Bruce Lee figure
and as you say - he's got a niche of the market he can't even fulfil with his own stuff - he's sold his first series multiple times, and can't even tell when Series 2 will actually be in stock in his own warehouse. but he's now pushing Bruce Lee as his way to expand his market reach and grow. grow where?? if the Series 1 stock still hasn't sold out (and he pushed the FOMO angle hard on that one!) then no-one is buying what you're already selling, so why try to chase a non-existent market with a product no-one is crying out for?
