The Jakks prices on most were pretty close to what TRU was charging and K-B toys on the CS line.

The Jakks prices on most were pretty close to what TRU was charging and K-B toys on the CS line. I remember them being just a couple dollars more than regular series which was around 7.99-9.99, so classics would have been probably 12$ or so. I went to Walmart 99% of the time for mine.

Maaaan Classic Superstars series 8 was the hypest reveal ever for me - Vader, Jerry Lawler, Freddie Blassie, Chief Jay Strongbow, 80s Bob Orton, Bruiser Brody, and not just 80s Hogan or nWo Hogan but both at once! I still remember like it was yesterday walking into Target and finding the entire wave (even both Hulks) all at once and exclaiming "Holy !" lol Thanks for posting these OP, fun memories

This reminds me of when I used a money order to pay for RSC Taz and RA18 Eddie Guerrero. Got them in the mail and called off work sick I was so excited for my first RSC package.

Got them in the mail and called off work sick I was so excited for my first RSC package. first one i ever bought was a R3 Tajiri and Kurt Angle, the Tajiri was a damaged box special that barely had a scratch. paid less than 20$ for both shipped and called RSC on the phone for the order lol. I remember also buying the RA randy orton slaughter 2 pack exclusive on the phone

I was SOL after that because I was still in high school with no credit card, and my parents wouldn't let me use theirs for toys. They made the right call considering shortly after RA22 was everywhere.

I used to love seeing those Classic Superstars ads in the WWE Magazines. It got me so hyped for them as the prototype pictures always looked amazing and I couldn't wait to hunt for them. As a kid with no Internet at the time, the thrill of the hunt was real but I wish I had access to a site like Ringside back then. If only we could go back to those prices too!

I used to get so excited for things like these. I know I still have some other catalogs from 2000-2002.
