I think the first few will do great - at retail, as all the scalpers pick them off the shelves to try to offload at the same insane prices they sell the Rares and Chases.
After the scalpers fail to offload the first few, they’ll stop buying them up and sales will drop off dramatically

Honestly, I see the AEW audience as being *older* than the WWE audience. They certainly have a more mature product.
That said, unless they produce these in low quantities and in the exact same specs as the LJN figures, I foresee them rotting HARD.
The issue is that, from the photos, they don't look like they'd be in the same scale. I mean, I could be wrong, but they just look like oversized Hasbros to me, far too short to fit the LJN scale. And if you are making a product to specifically cater to a nostalga-based market, then you jolly well better make them in the exact same proportions, style, and scale as the original figures.

I havent followed the release schedule for them...but if they're a full set they're going to rot and fill peg space. If they're done like they were with the CS line where it was one per case or one per 2 cases then they will sell fine. The hardcore AEW fan is borderline extremist....There's enough of them to make sure these dont hang around.

It’s hard to say. It seems like the majority of collectors don’t have any interest in them, and I’m completely in the same boat.
It’s not in demand for collectors, and most casual shoppers probably don’t want a figure with zero articulation. That being said I don’t feel like they’ll clog shelves. It mostly depends on how common they’re going to be.

If Mattel thought that Retros were aimed at a niche market, I can't imagine what Jazwares is thinking will happen going for an even smaller target audience.
That said, retros are seemingly coming back, soooo...

I would have much preferred Hasbro style figs. But, I hope someone out there is excited for these. I think they’ll be fair to middling.

To be specific, the data says the average age of the viewers for AEW is younger than that of WWE. While WWE does market more to children, they also have a LOT of older fans watching out of habit. They aim young, but don't appeal to the kids like they used to. So the math says older. AEW certainly aim for the 18-35 audience and get it. In the UK I'm now seeing AEW toys clogging some shelves. I can walk into my local Smyths and find most of series 2-4 for sale, with most on clearance. I expect the LJN to be like PAC/Riho. Prices slashed repeatedly. Unless the stores bring in fewer cases. It's a worthwhile experiment though. Try one figure to test the waters. Maybe it'll be great.
