Has anyone searched for the Road Dogg elite 26 figure recently… I did about a few hours ago and was shocked to find every auction trying to sell him for well over 100 bucks… even for a loose one. Like when the hell did that figure all of a sudden rocket in value.

Can we have a stickied thread like this so I can know when to sell old figure sitting in a bin that I haven’t seen in ages ? Been having money issues and dwelling on eBay but there’s so many random elites that are worth a lot, then some that are surprisingly cheap

people seem to forget that we've been getting WWE figures from mattel for 11 years....a LOT of people are just getting in NOW, and a ton of flashback/legend elites are already 4-5-6 years old. im pretty sure the first flashbacks came in like 2012.
but a few years ago the hobby was kind of in a lull. you were finding elites at discount stores, retail was over-ordering sets nobody wanted...figures were actually going on clearance. (i bought hall of fame road dogg & billy gunn at target for $11 each)
but as time goes on and we get further away from those releases, people want them who are getting in now. a few years ago that road dogg was like $30 after-market. just a product of the time.

The shame of it is that I have E26 Roaddogg, but I'd rather have HOC.. and I can't bring myself to spend that kind of money on a figure that isn't a new character for my collection.

Funny thing is I was contemplating getting that figure when it came out. It was always a little more than $20 though. The headscan looks fantastic. I have the elite 26, so I guess I’m okay.

E26 Road Dogg was a solid figure other than the oversized shirt. A cloth shirt would’ve been much better.

Not bashing this forum in particular, but wrestling figure collectors are some of the most sorry people ... Funko Pop as well. Always trying to screw someone else over for profit and never let a death or tragedy go to waste. I’ve met some great people in this hobby, but a ton are described as stated above. |
