SOMEBODY BETTA CALL MY MOMMMAE18 Brodus Claythis was a figure that has no business being as good as it is 🤣 to be candid it was a random ebay purchase; i think it came out to something like $15 shipped for the figure loose--but it was mint so i splurged for that price. keeping with the 2012-era here, we have the FUNKASAURUS, TYRUS Brodus Clay. As i recall, he was a monster type heel character in nXt and when he made his main roster debut, he was given the dreaded dancing dinosaur gimmick by Vince. i feel like the Funkasaraus character couldve been handled right, i mean it is wrestling after all, but it was done in the PG era so it was just a non ironic dancing big guy. ANYWAYS this figure comes to us in the iconic red addidas style jumpsuit with BC footprint logos on the upper chest. im SO happy that these are softgoods and to be honest they are pretty high quality and they fit the figure great! the pants are high waisted and they look a little goofy, but its definitely on purpose and as i mentioned they make the outfit look great. Brodus comes with a silver chain and ed fedora hat; they both also fit and look great on the figure. underneath the jumpsuit, Brodus is wearing a red singlet with white trim and logos. the body sculpt is unique to brodus; he certainly has an eggy shaped body and they captured it quite well on his figure lool. the headsculpt on this figure is actually really good for the era. it captured Brodus in a smiling expression and even with that it looks really good. they captured his tattoos all well enough, too. im not an expert in Brodus clay's tattoos but i do remember his upper body being inked out and the paint apps to my figure all came out cleanly and crispy. all in all, this is actually a great figure. the articulation and poseablity is what you would expect from a big guy, plus Brodus wasnt the most swift moving guy between the ropes, so no matter on that anyways. but the softgoods are amazing; they fit the figure great and as far as i can tell do not stain the figure whatsoever. the likeness, scale and bodysculpt all seem to hold true to Brodus/Tyrus and i just wish he wasnt given the dancing dinosaue gimmick on wwe main roster

Merry Christmas Eve!!working our way up to the Legends series reviews next week, i thought today would be a great day to drop this piece of COAL into everyones stockings! 🎅🏻😝😝 its STINKER SATURDAY RSE Summerslam 'straps down' UndertakerSO, here we have a brand new concept from mattel in the feature that Undertaker was given a rubber shirt that is meant to have the ability for him to drop the straps. i dont really know--im glad that theyre making the attempt at new things but this kinda stuff just isnt what they should be putting time and resources into 😂 honestly just give the figure a stretchy spandex softgoods top and call it a day. i can already imagine this rubber becoming brittle or melty and either breaking completely or melting to the figure or other figures. if it doesnt, ill be shocked, but i can just forsee that being the issue years down the line. all this being said, it still doesnt look that great on the figure, it makes his torso look really bulky and barrel chested. this figure is from the era of takers American Badass run; well-specifically his Brothers of Destruction run during the Invasion angle, but it was before he became Big Evil and cut his hair short so this figure features a long haired taker headsculpt. im not sure what figure this sculpt originally came from but i do not like this headsculpt. im not sure it could also be a brand new sculpt for this figure, but i feel like they may have tweaked the shape of the head or something to acommodate the head accessories they wanted to include with this figure; the likeness to undertaker is indeed there, but i feel like this head is just really ovular shaped. they gave this taker figure a black beanie and sunglasses; the beanie both fits and looks more like a helmet on the figure and the glasses are definitely not accurate to what undertaker would wear during the era. the beanie issues are just because rubber accessories, lol, and the glasses are like a sgt slaughter style whereas taker was wearing Oakleys or even edge style glasses. going down the figure, we do get the unique Undertaker torso and i think this is the first time an elite figure was given his B.S.K tattoo along his stomach. we also got all of the tattoo details that continue up from his arms into his shoulder; only thing REALLY missing is the infamous SARA tattoo that was on his neck, but i can totally understand why they omitted that. rounding out the figure we get the classic American Badass Undertaker pants and boots; this figure like his E18 figure gets 'Deadman Inc' on his right leg. the accessory i think we all wanted that came with this figure was the WCW tag team championship. it looks great and i just get really peeved when mattel do this with unique tag belts; why not just package two belts with the taker figure. theyre NOT gonna end up releasing another figure with those tag belts anytime soon. all in all im really just not liking this figure. when it was announced i already had it in my mind that this concept would be a dud for me as a collector. many people were spouting the idea that it should have been done on a kurt angle figure, but STILL i think just give him a mf spandex softgoods singlet, lets start moving away from all this rubber stuff. we're slowly creeping on having to pay $30 a figure now, i get that its from general "inflation" but damn it would be cool as hell to atleast feel like im getting a $30 figure. the interchangeable hands and heads are super rad, but when the figure itself is forced to wear this pose resistant, unnatural looking rubber clothing accessories, it just really does nothing for anyone. even with the straps up on this taker figure the top looks so thick, same with the beanie hat-it just makes his head look so huge. i appreciate the effort by mattel and their design team, i see that the upcoming rick boogs figure utilizes the same style top and it looks decent on his figure, so who knows maybe they'll keep trying to sneak it in, but id rather they just bin this concept for tops or singlets or whatever and up their game into softgoods or just try something else. 🧦

^ yikes... I didn't realise he had such a giraffe neck!? I've kept mine MIB. yeah 😬 unfortunately the headsculpt and the torso dont seem very compatible. 🌟⭐✨ MERRY CHRISTMAS!✨⭐🌟 its been a wild and crazy year! a great year for figures, and a great year for the collection 😬 i can definitively say that ive bought a ton of figures this year that ive always wanted to have in my collection and mattel looks to be keeping up and continuing to give us cool stuff into 2023. it was really cool to see the elite line evolve to now have double jointed elbows and the cool interchangeable tech in heads and hands. the ultimate line has grown and come into its own a little more; i have a bunch of ultimate figures in my collection, but ive been thinking about starting a new thread just for reviewing ultimates or would that be too much 😅😅 all in all, my figure hobby has been the ONE thing keeping me lowkey happy this entire year. stress from work, emotions felt from friendships; at the end of the day when i get home the one thing that i know will bring me happiness and comfort is opening up some new figure purchases and appreciating them. checking out the sculpt and paint app details, some quick posing around and then reveling in the memories that they bring up. i typically then wait for a slow saturday or sunday morning and then have a nice long photoshoot session; im about to start one up today, got some 20 figures that need photographing. for those of us still full on in the game, still buying and collecting, cheers 🥂 for those of us still watching the scene from afar, maybe not buying as much or at all, cheers 🥂 it IS a great time to be a figure collector, just not a great time to try and juggle all that into the finances 😂 im planning to roll out the legends series reviews next week and then i think im gonna post a year end wrap up; talk about the favorite figures ive bought in general for the year and then maybe talk about the favorite figures that were released in 2022? itll be fun. Hollywood Andre as Bigfootthis figure is super fun! today we've got the Hollywood series Andre the Giant as Bigfoot! So this was a figure that i was luckily able to snap up a pre-order for on Walmart.com right away----aaaaand then they canceled my pre-order due to lack of availability. ended up having to resort to buying this figure on Mercari, but i was able to get a pretty decent price so i wasnt too upset about it. this figure is awesome! i really liked the idea of the Hollywood line, but i just wish they had chosen better characters and concepts for it. this Andre as Bigfoot character comes in a complete softgoods fur jumpsuit. the fur is really high quality and the suit covers his entire feet, torso and arms. he was given these gnarly looking claw hands with big nails on them, i love the way they look and function. the headsculpt on this figure is good? i mean its supposed to be Andre wearing a ghastly Bigfoot mask so it has a big haggard beard, eyebrows and messy head of hair paired with some white eye contacts and fanged teeth. its honestly really rad! when you pull back the fur you can expose his electronics and mechanical parts embedded in his chest, a cool little easter egg. beyond that this Andre is molded in a dark brown tone and is actually wearing black trunks🤣 i didnt pull off the jumper so i dont know whats going on with his feet. all in all this Andre figure is amazing, i would highly recommend everyone having one for the novelty value of it, im sure it looks really cool MOC next to the John Nada figure and the Scorpion King figure we're never gonna end up getting. its a great concept offering from mattel and i truly do hope that the line continues with better character selections and also Merry Christmas again to everyone 🎅🏻 thanks to everyone for the views on my thread and many great thanks to those who like and comment and ride along with my opinions and additions every day 🙏🏻👑

happy post christmas! hopefully everyone had a great holiday and was able to see and share time with loved ones 🙏🏻 i hung out at home and binged on the Mandalorian series again 😅 i got my Ringside cyber sale figures delivered today! made an absolute killing on AEW figures, that was awesome! got my farmer Brock figure in from ebay, two demon finn balor figures-newest one from amazon and an older one from ebay, aaaand a couple of star wars figures in from amazon- my post christmas was way better than the real holiday 😭 anyways.... we gonna review the last figure today before i talk about the Legends Series 16, i feel like its Very appropriate leading in..... E77 VisceraBig Viscera!! 😤 this figure had eluded me for something like two freaking years. i placed an order for this figure on spamS and after a year of waiting they finally canceled my order due to item unavailability. i kept an eye out for this figure on the secondary market, but the prices were always just a bit above what i was willing to pay. finally scored a deal on ebay and locked in a big daddy V for the collection. as expected, Vis is a chonk of a figure; there is a lot of heft to this guy. Viscera comes to us wearing his trademark Ministry black..trenchcoat? longshirt? either way it looks great, i remember the material looking like a light vinyl or something, definitely not a heavy leather item and mattel captured that look perfectly on the sleeves and in the sculpt of the shirt itself. there are rows of silver buttons on the front and back of the figure, not sure why the designs arent symmetrical? the headsculpt of this figure is honestly pretty perfect. we get an angry Vis bearing teeth and scowling, they captured the look perfectly all the way down to his white eye contacts and bleach blonde mohawk. for accessories we got some interchangeable hands in the V Time shape and the Hardcore Championship belt. all in all i honestly have no complaints with this Viscera figure. the size and scale of the figure seems decent, likeness is on point, poseability is what it is for a Viscera and the attire was done really well. a much needed member to complete the Ministry of Darkness lineup 🤔

happy wrestle wednesday 💪🏻 when i was fig fedding back in the day, Wednesdays would be for a show i named "Mayhem". Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays were for main shows and Tuesdays and Thurdays were just for pure wrestling exhibition style matches and stuff that would work itself into the main shows 🤪 i do miss the fantasy booking of doing that it was so much fun, my storylines were amazing 😂 ANYWAYS finally we are going to crack into the LEGENDS series 16 figure reviews. im usually really pumped for legends figures and lineups becasue im more of a classic era collector, this series had me 2/4 or 3/4 excited for what we were announced to be getting, ill get more into that as we peel through the figures in this series. Farooq and Bradshaw-the Acolytesto be candid these were definitely my most anticipated figures of this series. first time in the line Ministry era Acolytes, hell yeah!!! the acolytes were a staple tag team in the attitude era, just always there kicking ass and taking names. they were the perfect henchmen for the Undertaker, two big bruisers who take no snuff and who werent afraid to get into a tussle with anyone. these figures come to us wearing their trademark black tights with silver/purple ministy symbolism on the legs. as i remember the prototype images showed Farooq wearing a different design on his tights which i really would have preferred over them wearing the matching gear. the Farooq figure looks great overall, the skintone looks much better than the ultra dark skintone that we previously saw on his earlier acolyte figure. the headsculpt looks to be the same as the APA figure, just Truefx applied and to be honest it looks great, Farooq wasnt a very expression forward guy, just looked pissed off and fed up all the time. farooq was given the tantaka/modern batista/ hall of champions farooq torso. i really like this torso choice for farooq, he wasnt actually that shredded in the abs, but he had that heavyweight thickness that really came across in this body recipe. moving down the figure we got his trademark bicep bands, black wristape and black fingertape. all in all this Farooq figure is pretty DAMN perfect. i think it would have been cooler to have different designs on his tights but it still turned out to be an awesome figure. Bradshaw is a different story however. the headsculpt on this figure looks good, it captures bradshaw in that period when he cut his long hair, i remember it being super short for a time (1998?) but its longer and slicked back on this figure. he is wearing earrings and has a serious expression on his face. moving down the figure into the torso is where mattel frankly ruined this figure completely. they decided to give this figure the JBL torso- which already looks a little weird as it is- but it does NOT represent Bradshaw's physique during this era. they 10/10 should have chosen the old heavyweight/hilbilly jim torso because Bradshaw was THICC, i dont think he ever had ab definition. the JBL torso makes this acolyte head look too large on the body and its just all around too slim for Bradshaw, it really kills the figure. Bradshaw is wearing matching tights to Farooq, just his legs and lower body take advantage of taller parts. all in all these Acolyte figures were much wanted and needed for the collection, but im really upset that they fumbled the body recipe on the Bradshaw figure; we were really this close to greatness. i also wouldve liked to have the prototype logos on the Farooq figure's tights and if i can nitpick, i wouldve like a little more variation in their chest symbols. i feel like each acolyte would summon different energies or fortify themselves with different strengths by choosing what kind of symbolism they take into the ring. by just giving each figure matching tights and extremely similar chest symbols, these figures feel a little bit watered down, but then again attitude era was IT for me so im pretty obsessive over the details and things presented from that time. at this time i feel like these are going to be the best version of the Acolytes that we will get for the upcoming years so i would recommend adding them to the collection--pretty sure theyre on clearance right now anyways.

Keeping up with the Legends 16 series reviews today is a guy who i feel like probably had the most elites released for the calendar year..... Rey MysterioLegends 16 brought us a rey mysterio figure from ECW One Night Stand 2006 where he faced the homicidal, suicidal and genocial maniac, Sabu. Right out of the gate, im gonna say that i dont feel like this figure needed a spot in the legends line. we're getting a wcw era Rey with a cruiserweight championship in the main line elite series 100; i dont think a rey mysterio from a 2006 ppv needs to hog a spot in the legends line. that being said, im usually pretty open to buying most rey figures because they all tend to end up looking pretty cool; and this is another pretty cool rey figure. this Rey comes to us wearing a really nice softgoods entrance robe-its a cool iridescent white/silver color with a hood and a mask logo printed on the back. the robe fits the figure really well and its made of quality material. as mentioned this Rey figure is from ECW One Night Stand 2006 so he is wearing a predominantly black and red colorschemed attire. the headsculpt they chose was one that we've seen hundreds of times before, it works but would be kinda cool to see something new at this point in production. the mask is black with white details, red wings on the sides of the mask and white ECW logo on the back of his mask instead of the traditional Mexican medallion design. going down the figure, this was a 2006 rey so his tattoos were still kinda sparce. he is wearing Eddie Guerrero tribute armbands on each bicep and then his elbow pads have white mask and 619 logos on the right and left pad respectively. this figure is wearing black throwback styled tights with a large red question mark in the center of the tights and red wings going down the front of each leg. the figure bottoms out with some crisp white boots with red question logos on the front. although its true to the actual attire, there are no designs or logos on the back of the figure making it feel kinda bland--but as mentioned it is true to the actual look. for accessories we got the classic interchangeable gloved hands and a satin? finished heavyweight world championship belt. the non VAC belt was a weird choice, IMO, but i guess they needed to fulfill some cutbacks due to softgoods inclusion maybe. all in all this is everything you could expect from a rey mysterio figure. the softgoods entrance jacket is very cool and very quality, all of the paint apps on my figure were applied cleanly and crisply, poseability is awesome coz its a rey rey figure. the figure itself is great---i just wish it didnt occupy a slot in the Legends line. given that we have and are currently getting flashback reys in the elite main line i dont think a rey from 2006 should be considered legends material. maybe their reasoning was that they could accomodate a softgoods jacket for the legends line and not main line? but i still would have rather had a new or different character. given that we got so many Rey figures this year as it is already, i cant necessarily say that this is a MUST HAVE for the collection.

Happy figure friday everyone! STAND BACK!! we're closing out our thoughts and reviews on the Legends series 16 today! Mighty Molly HollyCOMING THRUUU today is is a hurricane of Mighty power!! Mighty Molly Holly! this was a character that i did not expect to ever see a mattel figure for, but here we are! this legends line gave us a Mighty Molly and a standard Molly Holly figure in this series, the standard Molly being the chase edition. i was only able to pick up the Mighty molly figure which is totally fine with me because the Mighty Molly figure looks really really cool. this figure came with a softgoods pink cape with a black 'M' logo centered on the back. she is wearing her iconic black and pink jumpsuit with her cool hurricane style silver logo front and center on the chest. she is rocking pink wristbands on her arms and then the rest of her attire closes out with some classic long black pants. we were given both the Mighty Molly and Molly Holly style headsculpts for this figure and they both look FANTASTIC. there is just a tad of misprint from the TrueFX on the eyes of the heads i got with my figure but i can see that the sculpting is completely on point and i really like how they captured the details in the curls of her hair and the pigtails on the Molly Holly head. all in all i was pretty stoked to hear that we were getting Molly Holly in the mattel line. a tiny part of me wishes that the Mighty Molly was the chase figure, i can understand because we actually have hurricane figures to pose her with and we will probably never ever get a hardcore or crash holly. this is one of those figure where misprinted face apps can completely ruin the entire figure. i find that the womens figures are prone to bad eyes just because of their makeup or eyelashes or the small size of their heads or whatever the case, but ive had a few womens figures look like their eyes got blacked out backstage or something just due to bad printing tech--is a really bad look. i would recommend grabbing this mighty molly/molly holly figure because im fairly certain this could be the only molly figure we ever see and they actually did a great job on both versions of her. Legends 16 Ranking and final thoughtsSo Legends 16 came to us on the heels of the XPac/Kane/Stacy Keibler/Lex Luger wave. Me personally, both waves rank at a SOLID 2/4. for legends 15 i really only wanted the Xpac and Stacy figures; i could give or take the kane and luger figures-although i definitely didnt hate them once i had them in hand. Legends 16 was frankly the same- the Acolytes were a must have/definitely want, but Rey and Molly Holly i could have taken other character choices. the rey figure looks great-it was executed well but i just dont want to see a rey from 2006 in the legends line. period. I do enjoy collecting the womens figures and as i mentioned i was a little shocked to hear that we were getting a molly holly figure but it was a welcome surprise not someone i really had on my short list. 4. Bradshaw - the torso completely ruins this entire figure. the headsculpt is actually really good, the height of the figure is pretty good but that god damned torso ruins a potentially perfect figure. im really upset because the Acolytes were a staple tag team for the entire time i watched wrestling as a kid and they fumbled one of the characters real bad. 3. Rey Mysterio - its a great figure but im still just miffed it landed in the legends line. i feel like the legends line is given a bit more budget and i would much rather see ANY other superstar other than Rey fill a spot in this series. that man is toyetic asf and he gets enough figures as it is 😂 2. Mighty Molly - this is a great figure all around. headsculpts look amazing, softgoods cape, attire and parts choice looks fantastic. no complaints at all about this molly figure. 1. Farooq - honestly IMO this is a perfect figure for Farooq. the parts choices look great, the skintone looks great and the headsculpt--although an older one--looks great with trueFX. as i mentioned in the actual review i kinda wished they had kept the prototype designs on his tights but it still came out looking badass. out of all the four figures in this series, i think the Farooq figure came out the best. im really looking forward to the legends 17 lineup! young AJ Styles, dingo warrior, KEN SHAMROCK IN GREEN AND BLUE, and classic HBK figure. looking at it now im calling it this series will be 3/4 or 4/4 excitement, BUT WE'LL SEE. ONE MORE DAY left in the year!! its been a great one for figure collecting im super excited for 2023 🎊🥳🎊

HAPPY 2023 EVERYONE 🎉🎈🎊🥳 i wanted to do my own little year end wrap up for my thoughts and ideas on my favorite or least favorite products that mattel gave us this year. im gonna be taking the knowledge of the 2022 releases from the voting survey thats currently active. E89Sgt Slaughter was MY MVF for this series. E89 was a pretty cool set, its unfortunate that they used Nia Jax as the chase figure because her figures sold notoriously bad. the Drew figure in the kilt with the sword was EPIC, Goon figure was an unexpected surprise, but i guess the real gem of this series was the Damian Priest figure. it looks really cool with the purple color and all of the unique sculpts to the attire came out really well. E90 Bronson Reed and Bossman were my MVF for E90. Bronson Reed's figure came out looking incredible; size, scale, poseability, color, softgoods, great headsculpt-all around amazing figure. Bossman / The Boss figures were an awesome addition to the collection-The Boss figure in all black looks really cool. the only other figures i got from E90 were mustafa Ali and Reckoning-they were cool figures but didnt blow me away. 10/10 salty about the Chief Jay figure being cancelled i wanted that figure really really bad. E91 RVD.Tiger Stripes.end of story. i think we all have our own personal reasons for loving the tiger stripe attire and im so unbelievably grateful that mattel just gave it to us right out of the gate. once again im SUPER salty about the chase figure being cancelled. oh and also the Ruthless Aggression era hogan was highly anticipated from myself-just really let down at this torso choice debacle that mattel is doing with hogan figures. E92/E93 both E92 and E93 were pretty flat series for me. i feel like everyone was clamoring for the new adam cole figure in E92, but the WCW era flair was what garnered the most interest from me. E93 was another kindof 'meh' series for me; Karrion Kross was the MVF in E93 just due to how awesome that figure came out looking overall. i thought T-Bar looked cool, and i really wanted the WCW TV title that came with Steamboat. E94gotta give the MVF in E94 to bret. so i havent had a chance to review anything from E95,96,97,98 or 99 so i dont really want to jump the gun on discussion for those figures but i do have a bunch of figures from those waves and i like alot of them. We got quite a few BAF waves this year; honestly and truly i rank all of them 2/4 on excitement levels. every single wave i genuinely only wanted 2/4 figures from the waves but just for the sake of the BAF i caved and completed them all. Dakota Kai was my MVF from all the waves, shockingly. she had the best overall figure IMO from all the BAF series; the Summerslam Sherri gets a huge shout out for being over the top unique, and also a shout out to the Royal Rumble Vader figure- the new masked headsculpt looks great. it was cool to get a new Vince figure from WM3, Jimmy Hart was a welcome addition, Rick Rude was a great addition to attitude era and i genuinely didnt care for the Dom Mysterio flashback figure. i was really impressed with all of the legends figures we got this year. legends 13 came out swinging hard, and began the releases of the DX army figures. i am really struggling to pinpoint ONE figure from the legends line that i liked the most. Mean Mark was the most 'Legends' figure by definition, it was a great time to get DX figures, Stacy Keibler, Acolytes, i liked them all but to ME, nothing really stood out amongst the pack as the BEST legends figure of the year. the Ringside exclusives for WWE this year werent all THAT amazing for me as a collector. the Wolfpac Hogan was my #1, the tomasso ciampa exclusive looks cool fully geared out but after removing the entrance gear its just wearing black tights. Undertaker figure was a neat attempt at a new thing but i think the final product was a tad too janky- i just didnt like it. the Cameron Grimes figure is cool and unique, i do like it but i still need to review it. the Ruthless Aggression line is a HIT with me. i love it, lets get it to series 50. Batista has been my favorite release so far due to nostalgia reasons. once i get the RA series 2 RVD that will easily overtake this but i have a soft spot for this batista. i think my ELITE FIGURE OF THE YEAR has to go to the Top Picks Rock figure. there was just so much awesome going on with this figure. it was a bunch of nostalgia bundled up into one figure, the softgoods jersey came out looking great and the fact that we FINALLY got a flashback Rock in the Blue tights was IN-FKN-CREDIBLE Ultimate Edition gave us some really cool stuff this year. my MVF are EASILY Kane and the Fan Takeover Shawn Michaels figures. UE 13 Hulk Hogan is an amazing figure those headsculpts are uncanny. UE14 Jeff Hardy was a very welcome addition to the collection i loved those white pants. Target Exclusive Batista and nWo macho figures came out looking amazing and were great choices and additions to the UE line. im glad we got a Goldberg UE figure although they really could have done up that figure so much better and finally a shoutout to the Coliseum Collection figures, the Hulk figure once again came out looking amazing. it was a great year for figures and frankly im really excited that we are now seeing double jointed elbows and improved headsculpts in the elite line as the standard. my biggest gripes for the year are wonky trueFX applications, especially on womens figures. these are action figures made in the likeness of someone specifically. if the eyes are printed wrong or the entire apps are not aligned, it will ruin an entire figure and i dont think mattel is willing to send out new heads for print errors (although it would be a GREAT idea 🤔) another issue that i seemed to be running into on the newer figures was stubborn shoulder joints. i feel like with the addition of the double jointed elbows there was some new tooling that took place to the shoulders that makes them slightly incompatible with the existing torsos. the shoulders themselves seem too beefy and i have trouble either fully extending a figures arm outward (T-pose) or bringing the arm all the way inward to the figure (Finn Freeze). i guess an ongoing issue we all have are some of the confusing choices made in the body recipes of some figures (torso choices, kickpad styles, etc) id like to think that by now mattel realize that the wwe collectors are pretty serious and particular about the final product of the figures and i think they could be making some much better choices with what they have available. all in all im very happy with the state of the collection. it been getting bigger-MUCH bigger so that means mattel is doing something right 😅

Happy Superstar Saturday!! currently in the midst of new year , new meseriously though 😅 although i dont typically go with this notion that the birth of a new year should spur you to all of the sudden get your stuff together, there does come a point where you do a lot of thinking and experiencing, and living, and reflecting. alot of people, including myself can take a big picture look at their lives and say 'woah, no this isnt what i imagined and im not as happy as i should be.' but we get caught in the meat grinder and end up saying 'oh well, this is fine' at the end of the day. there are always things we can be doing to get better and do better. The Rock actually just shared a great piece of inspiration that really connected the dots for me--it was "Having the guts to fail is far more powerful than the desire to succeed." we all have the desire to succeed but often humble ourselves in the pursuit, you gotta take a few risks in life, it may just be the best thing youve ever tried. ANYWAYS lets talk about some figures. Fan Takeover Ultimate Warriorback in the day when the classic superstars line came out i was 100/10 excited to get my ultimate warrior figure. i was fig fedding at the time and i had mega hyped the debut of the ultimate warrior to my fed. i was having a royal rumble style event and the warrior debuted and just absolutely cleaned house. that being said i was really excited to see this version of the warrior return and get the ultimate edition treatment. this Ultimate Warrior is from Wrestlemania VI when he participated in a title for title, champion vs champion main event against Hulk Hogan that saw him emerge as the victor. This figure looks great, this attire has seen just about every incarnation in the wwe figure world, so all i can really say is that it holds true to the original design of the attire. the butterfly joints work really well for warrior, it really helps him during the posing of his ultimate press slam finisher. we got two headsculpts for this warrior, one teeth bearing painted face and one yelling face with worn off paint. my secondary warrior head has some wonky paint apps to the eyes, but i like the sculpting. all in all i would absolutely recommend picking up this Ultimate Edition Ultimate Warrior from Wrestlemania VI. i remember there being some delays in receiving this figure for some people, but luckily Amazon got my figure to me fairly quickly.

Happy cerebral Saturday, everyone! Defining Moments Triple Hbringing in another old school mattel review today, this was another figure that i scored on ebay late at night; got this figure loose for $25 shipped--which in this condition and although no accessories i felt was a steal. i have some clothing items saved that im gonna pick up for this figure later to bring it closer to completion. This Triple H figure comes to us from the defining moments line depicting the time when the Game made his return after a torn quad injury. this figure was stacked upon its release; softgoods tshirt, softgoods leather jacket and denim vest, softgoods denim jeans. my figure came loose, so i missed out on these accessories, but i really like that idea of so many quality softgoods. i think the other accessories this figure could have also gotten was a water bottle, sledgehammer and that leather kangol hat he sported for a moment. the headsculpt on this figure is pretty good; it shows hunter in an angry kindof growling expression. i think the sculpt is there but the paint apps could be better, i think the eyebrows throw off the likeness on my figure. i dont like the shade of his beard, i think it should been a bit of a darker brown color. i do like the sculpting and paint apps to this figures hair. this figure is sporting the iconic iron cross HHH trunks; paint apps look crisp and clean on my figure. the last thing to note is that mattel included the paint apps on his fingers as he was sporting flair style tape on his fingers at the time, too. all in all this is a really cool iconic triple h figure that i feel like everyone would need in their collection. in terms of kayfabe i was never a triple h fan. he did his job great as a heel and made me hate him 🤣 i remember watching raw the night that he returned from his injury i got bored during his segment and just started wrestling my pillows lol. he was a fantastic athlete and an absolute staple to the timeline of the business--uhhh. id really like to see an updated version of this triple H figure return to the elite line......as a matter of fact we really havent gotten any flashback trunks era triple h figures from the 2000s as a singular release. i think the last one we got was in the two pack with jeff.

Happy figure friday everyone! i had to get ANOTHER set of storage drawers for my figures today 😅 it provided me an opportunity to re-organize everything back into eras like i had originally intended. 'classic era' , 'attitude era' , 'ruthless aggression era' , 'modern era' , WCW , AEW , and then a section for Ultimates. it made me feel really grateful that i have been able to grow my collection back to glory with a bunch of really cool figures. the quality of the figures is insane at this point and im just really happy to be able to satisfy that part of myself with these small purchases now and again. Legends 8 Eddie Guerrerodespite being 25° outside, were bringing some Latino Heat into the forecast today, papi 🤣 right off i want to say that this is a really great figure depicting the final stretch of eddie's career post wwe champion. i know eddie wore this gear in his match vs rey mysterio for custody of dominik but i believe he also wore this gear in a match against batista. the headsculpt on this figure is amazing; we get eddie with the shorter trimmed hair and blonde highlights sporting a goatee and smirking expression. it looks just like eddie and the details in the hair and goatee look awesome. this figure came with a softgoods 'Im your Papi' black tshirt; ill never complain when we are granted softgoods. this eddie is wearing some black tights with an AWESOME blue / lime green flame design on each leg and matching 'Latino' logo on the back. i really like the colors and details captured on the tights and frankly really want more eddies from this era now! finishing up this figure, eddie is wearing his signature gold boots with black flame accents. all in all this eddie is a must have for the collection. the headsculpt looks amazing, the gear really pops and the figure can be paired and posed with the Rey Mysterio and Dominik figures from Summerslam. i wish this figure had come out in the newer legends series so we couldve gotten double jointed elbows and interchangeable hands with this figure, but heres to hoping we get more eddies soon, id even want an ultimate at this point...
