I know of one that was found in a smaller town in my area at a Walmart. The guy who found it is an action figure guy, but not an AEW guy, and was shocked at how much he sold it for.

At this point I'm not sure if it matters where they wound up. This chase structure is fundamentally broken. It doesn't help collectors, it doesn't help AEW, I'm not sure it does anything positive for the line. Just an endlessly terrible, ancient way to distribute toys. I wish I could like this post again. Jazwares leaves so much money on the table only making a small amount, they might even take a loss on them, and they frustrate us collectors and kids alike

I think a lot more AEW figures got to stores than it seems, just a LOT of it got snagged by employees before it ever saw the light of day.
I’m sure everyone in here has dealt with brickseek showing stock that when you go to the store the employees “can’t find” and then it mysteriously disappears from brickseek. This has happened to me MULTIPLE times.
So I think a lot of AEW figures got snagged by employees either for themselves, for eBay, or for preferential customers who they get stuff for.

I'm honestly having no trouble finding AEW at my local Target and my work Walmart, Matt and Nick sat on pegs over a month at my work, and I can easily find everyone except darby at Target

Series 1 apparently had limited production units, which is why there is a Series 1B. That’s not why there’s a 1B genius. Why so snarky/mad my friend? Simply leaving off the genius at the end makes your accurate, yet vague and non helpful reply much less hostile. Little digs like that only add negativity to a place we all like to use as an outlet or escape for enjoyment in an already negative and trying real world.

I couldn’t agree more. Happened to me too often as well.
