Lucio Fulci had some creative ones that could elevate a bad story and bad movie to a bad movie with a really cool death. Some of them out of left field though. The outhouse scene in Sleepaway Camp 2 would be a terrible way to go. Too much eye stuff for me. Can’t do it. Same here....but the death by bees scene in the bathroom stall is lame |

That scene in one of the Hatchet movies where Crowley rips a woman’s head in half by grabbing her upper and lower jaw and pulling. Actually, those movies have a lot that I’ve probably forgotten lol

Not a movie or a horror, but in Oz a character is sealed into a brick wall with a heavy, industrial fridge in front of it. Nobody could hear him scream and he was left there to rot.

Also not a horror movie (sorry!), but No Country For Old Men when Javier Bardem kills the motorist on the side of the road with that device used for slaughtering pigs so he can take his car. So brutal and disturbing (that scene and the whole film). Saw it once and that scene stays with me to this day. Yeesh.

He tried so hard to save her and in the end she couldn't live with herself like that. A great movie indeed!! Now I dont want to travel to another country and stay at a Hostel lol |

More recently: Kate from Fear Street: 1994. It was especially effective because it was super late into the movie and she had been arguably the most enjoyable/charismatic character out of the entire cast. Plus when she started fighting with the killer and he started inching her head towards the slicer it made it a point to show the other two guys hear her screams and start running towards her to set up the save but nope... What followed was  ing brutal. And the camera work spared no gruesome expense. |
