Great show! Looking forward to the ppv. I guess they’ll do Archer vs Miro at the ppv. I would have preferred they wait and build that battle of the powerhouses but it should be great anyway.

Entertaining show for the most part, the ppv will be better executed than the the last one hopefully, looking forward to Britt becoming champion the most

Give this show a third hour. Two is just fine, smackdown is great at two, as is NXT. Raw is death and part of that is the third hour and Nitro really started to struggle with that third hour. |

FINALLY Darby loses. It had to happen. Especially versus a beast like Miro. As someone said, Miro's shoulders were down ... hope that doesn't come into play. He earned that win. Now Darby and Sting can face Page and Sky, Miro can beat Archer or vice versa, Kenny can retain, Inner Circle will  , Hangman beats Cage, Christian wins the BR, Britt gets her title, and the Bucks drop the titles. |

Great high points in the show. Bucks-SCU, TNT Title match, Mox-Nagata loved all of them.
Beerbath/honking/break-up stip rips bugged the crap outta me, as always with AEW. Also wished Jericho was in traction for longer to give Guevara a chance for his vengeance against MJF in a lead role, since he was the one to surrender.
Don't get the Rhodes-Ogogo patriotism angle. An American would find much more in common with a Brit now than a fellow countrymen, given the right pairing. The only purpose is to get "American Dream" heated up? Totally unneeded.
Happy MIRO got the nod. A dominant performance much needed. Darby passing out fits with his careless nature, that's how it should have went down in his 2019 title match with Chris Jericho.

Thoroughly enjoyed this episode. The three title matches were all awesome, TK getting the rights to "Wild Thing", the announcement that Deeb's back, Britt with that really awesome "painting me as a villain ..." line, and Karl Anderson getting to show his personality for however briefly.
The only thing I didn't like was the Cody promo. Unpopular opinion but just being real, Cody's coming dangerously close to "go away" heat for me.

I think Dynamite is better than Smackdown and NXT. I think they've got a deeper roster too. It would have a better chance of a solid 3rd hour than both of those shows. Raw is death because Raw sucks. Never mind 3 hours, it could be 20 minutes and people are hoping it will end. No set amount of time for that show can help it at this point. Nitro is actually the comparison I would worry about. WCW was known for wrestlers calling the shots. Every other guy had "creative control" clauses in their contracts. Nobody was losing clean. Matches were getting more and more stupid. I don't think AEW could go full WCW, but with the freedom Tony Khan seems to give the guys I could see more and more foolishness making it's way onto tv if more time needs to be filled. I would hate to see a 3rd hour go that route. If they can keep it under control though I think AEW could put on a fine 3 hour Dynamite every week. WWE's product is so drastically different than what it was. A 2 hour Raw now would still suck ass unless they change the way they book things. Smackdown and NXT seem to have some "normalcy" but Raw is just a sh*t show though. If Raw was 3 hours in the Attitude era it would still have been pulling in millions of viewers. People wouldn't have been turning it off. I think AEW has that vibe and the roster to do it. Think of all the people who weren't on the show tonight and then factor them into a 3rd hour and try to imagine it being something you wouldn't want to watch. I'd watch. I don't need a 3 hour dynamite, but I'm ready for that second show to launch anytime now. I can live with that. A 2 hour Dynamite and a second 2 hour show is something I'd look forward to. I want the second show to be Smackdown or Thunder quality though not Shotgun Saturday Night quality. |
