Dust

Anyone ever use a can of dust remover spray on their displays? Safe to use with figs on shelves? Dusting is a pain

It’s too much pressure I find. Will blow over figures or knock off accessories.
Pretty sure it’s safe, you can give it a try and see if it works for you, but I find it makes more of a mess picking up knocked over stuff from the bursts of air. I found one of those actual feather dusters at Walmart and feel like an old lady, but it works the best at not disturbing the figures but getting off light dust. Still probably have to do a big dusting every few months or so....

I’ll probably invest in some ikea cabinets soon. Because it is a pain with a large cluster of a collection.

Don't do it! I used dust remover on my figures once.... now all my Dusty and Goldust figures are gone!!

It's funny because they took the premise of the classic "spot remover" joke and made it fit the topic by supplanting the "spot" with "dust", making the absurdist claim that using said "dust" remover actually made figures of persons with "Dust-" somewhere in their names disappear, instead of their intended desire to clean the figures with a controlled burst of air.

I use it once a week....I have wall to wall shelving and hundreds of figures so theres no way I can just dust them all. The trick is angles. If you just point & blow shits gonna fly everywhere. Try doing it from the side or keeping it low and in a sweeping motion.

When I moved last summer & I didn’t dust my figures as I should’ve. Looking at them now, it would be an all day project to do so. When my collection was smaller I’d use canned air on each figure.

I usually use a can of air duster to dust off my Lego Sets. I sometimes use a small paint brush to dust as well.

I don’t know what it is but I think my room gets extra dusty for some weird reason. I am constantly dusting my room and figures. I don’t even display as many anymore because dusting was a pain in the ass. I usually took a damp rag and wiped the figures off.

the spray can dust remover isn’t that good for dust that’s been there for a minute. if it’s new and light dust it should work though
